I had the same problem but I ended up figuring it out and its almost impossible to explain for it to make sense…
O it was way sillier last season. Remember zapping to the future and then hand-holding and running towards the light or whatever. I mean it was not only rushed and stupid but a total lol! I was like what the shit happened! Did they run outta time, idea, budget and everything else!

On The Eternal Love Season 2 Dec 13, 2018
They filed down a lot of romance in this season. So many things were going about it. The main plot obviously, was supposed to be romance, 'cause "Eternal Love". But then there were all the obstacle tracks like, the scheming concubine, orb obsessed papa Qu and the 1st prince whose story seemed better in this though, but had lesser screen time. That's what I am saying, they crammed up so many sub-plots in a 30 episodes Drama of 36-mins-episode that it undermined the romance and cropped the role-lengths of some original characters. I wanted to see more of Tan'er and Cheng Cheng with their scorching chemistry. Zhao Lin's handsome face, his perfect acting (those tiny expressions like the lil mischievous smiles), his screen-melting chemistry with Liang Jie blotted out everything else going on. I wanted more of that.

The story was well executed. It looked like the writer and the director knew what they were doing. They thought of a story and well-performed it. There were a lot of planning plotting, magic, blah blah, what have you and I just wanted more romance. It was pretty good though. I still prefer the 1st one. I understand that the love-story was already established in the 1st season. Therefore they avoided repeating everything all over again. He made her fall in love with him again but it was not like the previous one. They did not repeat scenes (except flashbacks). They change the course of the whole story and did it properly. Many things were changed. The personalities of the characters were changed. Yi Huai here was more for love. MLC was more restrained unlike the last season's horny Cheng (I leeevd both<3 ). Cheng Cheng had a wise gaze and a naughty smile but was still as horny as before. I understand they didn't show the switch personality thingy to avoid redundancy. I sorta liked what they did with the show but wanted more romance (did I mention already!).

When I first watched Eternal Love, I was just looking for a romance-fantasy Drama. I found this and tried it reluctantly. I knew nobody in this drama then but ended up falling in love with Zhao Lin. That boy got talent that's not just his handsome face. And since then I wait for his next drama all the time. Ergo, will be waiting for s3...

I get it now. At episode 7. But it's still difficult to tell them apart sometimes. And also the mystery of who's she gonna end up with! I love my season 1 Chen Chen and the s2 MLC hasn't completely fallen for her yet. At any rate, Zhao Lin is a treat to watch. So 2 of him is obviously better than 1. haha. The show's keeping it interesting so far. I have high hopes.

I don't understand why Elvis's dramas (except for Siege in Fog) don't get subbed! :'(

Title Where Stars Land Spoiler
This show was a bit all-over-the-place. It ended with a lot of unanswered questions. I was still trying to keep up because I just love the leads and the second couple was the cold-pack for my sore mind. I'll be looking forward to Kim Kyung Nam's future roles. I saw him in dark, brooding, hot kinda roles, here he is just sooo adorable. I wish he gets all important roles henceforth.

But everything jacked up (as if it already wasn't) at the end with the mother of all confusions and unanswered questions - where's Je Hoon at! They better have a plausible explanation for the stupidly obvious con they pulled on us 'cause I fished online and got nothing. :@

Thank you so much for your review i was skeptical whether to watch this or not. Don't want to waste my precious…
That's quite a natural reaction. He's despicable. But still I loved him as the girls in the show did. He has that devilish kinda seduction.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME. I 'm mess all over again reading this
IKR! But because I am a complete masochist, I have been re-watching the last part - from the p.s. to the end, everyday since I finished watching. And now I have permanent puffy eyes and sore throat.

You are most welcome. Hope you like it. It's a bit twisted, you see. Not the regular kinda love story. I went in with no expectations (since I have already seen the j-drama) besides watching In Guk and So Min and came out with a full-heart.

Can anyone explain why moo young wrote the "i dont know if its love but lets leave together " memo even after…
Yup! Everything was just a game for him until Jin Kang happened. That jerk of an ex just rubbed Moo Young the wrong way. He was as is reckless with the lives of others and his own. So the death of SA didn't matter to him. Therefore, when Jin Kang's brother went to him to confirm his suspicion he said he would do it again if given a second chance, even at the cost of his own life and anyone else's. Complete sociopath, you see.

First let me get this outta the way... this was not nearly as glum as the original one. The Japanese version was extremely dark, twisted, messed-up and outright depressing (a lot sexier too). It had no light, hope or so called "romance". This felt like a fluff of pink cloud compared to that, even considering the ending. The j-drama made me depressed for the whole following week of watching. I don't think I can watch that again in spite of my love, Takuya (yes I have been in love with him since...). Therefore, I was wondering how they were gonna present his manipulative douchebag of a character that had a 5000 kw of electrifying sex appeal (please excuse my obsession) in a k-format. But I also had faith inn SIG's acting. You see, I am his fan too. And he never disappoints.

I am delighted to say that they did an excellent job. The crux of the story was almost the same (except for the incest), with that they added a nice k-twist. The characters were similar yet a lot different. Jung so min's character was way better that the original one (I hated Yuko). Moo Young was borderline sociopath with a character arch. Whereas, Ryo was an undiluted a**h*** till a few moments before he died. Not once did I feel bad for him even though I was thoroughly enticed by Takuya's portrayal of the character. Here I wanted to forgive Moo young for everything he did. I didn't care about others' happiness as long as he had that glint in his eyes (I was crazy selfish during this time). I understood Jin Kang's ignoring everything to date him. I was in her shoes. I didn't like the things he did yet I couldn't stop liking his character.

I didn't mind so much about the incest in the original or if this one had it (thank you GOT, you prepared me for the worst) or the sad ending (better than a stupid ending). Actually, the ending made the drama complete. I wouldn't have liked it the other way. He had to reap what he sow.

This one had a lot of romance. The chemistry blew my mind and I can't put it back together since then. I didn't think I'll get to see such perfect chemi twice this year (first was devilish joy). Even if the story was a dud, I'd have had watched it for the chemistry (like devilish joy). Most of the times, the sad and unfulfilled love stories are remembered more than the happy and complete ones (like rom+ju).

Great acting by the cast. SIG is such a versatile actor. No two characters of his dramas are the same. He was effing hot here. His indifferent stare is my jam and his sexy smirk my wallpaper. I am glad that he chose this role and the role chose him. Even when he was romancing a cutie-patootie like So Min his character didn't turn into a mushy lover-boy. He maintained his enigmatic charm throughout the show. He was a great seducer (this could've been that show) and manipulator.

The poignant ending made it one of the most satisfying drama of the year. The last lines will haunt my heart beautifully for a long time .
Moo Young - "One afternoon, I missed something and started my journey. I walked, walked and walked again. I bumped again and again. Then I met Jin Kang. And... I started to breathe again...
OH MY GOD! where are the tissues! I am not usually this sappy... scuse the tear snots...
But one thing's for sure - although I wouldn't have fussed over an incest track, this way it will remain a sad yet beautiful lovestory forever.

Finally I have something this year that I can re-watch.

I'll watch it a few hundred times more. I'll grin ear to ear at some scenes again. I'll swallow the lumps in my throat again. I'll listen to "I know you'll be my home someday" and weep again and again.
