Finished it. I just can't! I mean i know it's just a show why am i sooo disappointed?! But i really thought this time I i'll finally have 1 Bin Bin romcom to rewatch multiple times. I waited for this with such excitement.
The writer and the editor should go to school and Youku should stop being so conniving for a drama of this quality. The only saving grace of the drama is the cast and the director is not so bad either. They were planning to bank on the main leads star power and chemistry but then they 1) don't know how to write an engaging lovestory, 2) were too greedy to just let the audience be delighted by whatever little moments the main couple had come naturally without razoring them down so amateurishly.
I am hearing this buzz about how the production is planning to have a second season. Honestly if i didn't care about the innocent people who are genuinely waiting for it to happen i'd wish that these specific pair of writer-editor and Youku don't get any big stars to work on their projects until the former learned their skills right and the latter changed their money-grubbing attitude.
When I was waiting for this drama to finish subbing I was making do with the videos of the couple on YT. Under one of these videos on Youku's YT channel I saw one random comment out of nowhere and got confused: I don't want Reba's dramas to air on Youku. It's bad for her career. I think I understand a little bit now.
Honestly i am getting impatient and a bit pissed here. It's episode 27 and they aren't together yet and they cut 2 kisses already. Don't know if they are gonna show those later or not but it's cheap tactic to hold viewers till the end. The writing is not good, and the editing is terrible. It has so much potential to be a good drama. You have an interesting story, though not unique concept-wise and a bunch of material to explore and these perfectly fitted actors for the characters, still you are filling it with the second couple story and bad pacing. I don't know how much they'll explore the past of these two but i really hope they do cos i'll not be satisfied with 2-3 5-sec epilogues. I wanna know how she fell in love with him, not just cos of him sharing his lunch with her of course cos she started by complaining about how he's taken her 1st spot. This doesn't change by just one act of generosity like this one. Why she decided to makeup and meet him on a date? How she sent the letter to him and how he missed it? Don't just tell me in one sentence that "i didn't read the letters from girls in uni". Show me. U have enough episodes to bore me, put it in those episodes.
So after a million years of waiting i finally started this with a bit of fear though because of the comments on how the drama is gonna take away from me most of the main leads moments for which I am here but what am i gonna do not watch a bin bin rom com 🤣🤣🤣
So iam at episode 3 and ZY seems like a snob who judges people by their cover, and I really wish Meiren to be smarter than him. BTW, i am loving it so far. Dreading the second couple screen hogging parts.
