Cha-Woong misunderstood and resented the grandfather who had missed the evil soul. Grandma tried to clear up the…
Oh! did i miss that part! I thought he blamed his grandfather only for caring about other people more and in the way compromising himself and CW's life like that. That's why he's so averse to helping people. Gonna rewind the parts again to check again.
So the bullies vandalize his house and beat him up and the evil spirit escapes in the process and it's his fault?! WOW! This is an innovative way of blaming the victim for something incidental. At least shaman granny seems to be implying so or why did she tell him? Just for exposition! I mean, telling him something like that just after he refused to be a vessel for a bigger purpose and then when he blames himself telling him it's not his fault is kinda same as guilting him into doing something he doesn't want to do. Another Dean Winchester!
This girl should run away from this family and her own. Far far away. Dump Time and run for your mental health, girl! Or soon you too will be a tyrant like Time and Touch's mama.
How to make a girl fall in love with you: lakorn praek formula 101 Aggressively insult and disrespect her openly at almost all moments but also simultaneously keep helping her parents and her secretly. She'll be in the process of falling in love with you during the insults (very strangely but 100%) and after the secretly helping is finally out of the closet, she'll be worshipping you. Now she's all yours!
Lol we all are not sadist believe me most of us that enjoyed this drama are like you! I really loved their moments…
I am loving the whole filling in the quietness of verbal sounds with sounds of regular activities like doors closing, utensils clanking, etc. And I think i have never seen any kdrama depicting summer like this one. It's just so ♥
I think Shunde's character is like a psychopath in an ancient era - narcissism, callous, lack of guilt/empathy…
100 %. No reason needed for sadist narcissists to be what they are, but the character itself was not interesting for a main character with so much screentime. If I have to be smothered by a high on depravity, power and antipathy character, i just need the smothering to be with an interesting storyline and the psycho needs to be a bit smarter than her. And then they also brought in that yearning for sifu's love angle at the end which changed the whole motivation of the character not leaving her to be just a sadist but also a wannabe lover. It was a hotchpotch for me.
I get the script-writers intention behind it. This way the character looked more martyr-like, a man who can love without expecting, which made his appeal stronger lingering in our heart. They do it so much that YH-CY love story didn't resonate as it should've have been. There's a lot left to be desired there. I'll blame a part of it on editing too.
For me, foremost, it's the story of YH and everyone else is just a part of her story. But next to YH i could feel empathy for HQ rather than CY. It's something in the writing that revealed to me this way. Just to me. Not saying everyone would've felt the same.
I don't know how the novel readers feel about HQ. If it's the same as the ones who watched the drama without reading the novel or not.
p.s. Now is see the main coup and the first 2 you mentioned are literally opposite one another on the cast list of mdl. lol

P.s. I am a huge Allen fan.
