Some of the older show had twisted logic, this is one of them
This drama glorifies selfish people while the ones who actually sacrifice everything get blamed.
The “Good Guys”
Stepmom – Married too many times to count, still obsessed with a lover from 45 years ago. Never cared about the son who devoted his whole life to her. She’s not romantic just sad.
Second Sister 💅💸 – Left home seven years ago to marry rich, forgot her family existed, came back broke and bossy acting like she owns the house she abandoned. Her single outfit costs more than her dad’s shoe shop plus the debt but she never helped or even care about them once, didn't even talk to sister who raised her or visit the house. 🙄
Dad 👴👞 – Runs a custom shoe shop nobody buys, nobody cares, and he’s drowning in debt but he still walks around with that ridiculous hat, dreaming of marriage at 70.
Never bother about the Daughter who is single who is reaching 50s while working like a slave but try to he try to act like Romeo in 70s 💀
The “Bad Guys”
Stepson – Sacrificed his whole life for mother. Loyal, hardworking, and invisible. No love, no thanks, no respect. Classic story.
First Daughter 👩💼 – Lost her mom early, raised everyone, paid for everyone school, worked nonstop, cooked daily. . She’s nearly 41, never lived for herself, and gets called “selfish” for just once to live her own life.
While others played rich or played dumb, she was keeping the lights on but she the "bad" person the drama.
I will say this: the female lead does not have the perspective we viewers have. She cannot read his mind. The…
I’ve seen some bad acting but this guy? Wow. Totally lifeless.
Doesn’t matter how he acts towards the female lead it’s all the same. Looks like he’s watching the show instead of being in it. No emotion, no spark, nothing! 🤖
Feels bad for the rest of the cast and staff.
People complained about the FL in Impossible Heir, but compared to this guy? She deserves an Oscar! This male lead is running on low battery — maybe no battery!
Very robotic. Very boring. Not good acting. Not at all! 😤
If you noticed, in the first episode, the second sister is taking care of a child who was abandoned by their mother a situation that mirrors the male lead’s story. Even when he’s working at the restaurant, kids come and go, showing a similar theme of neglect and care.
And if you know me (or have seen my reviews), you know I’m super picky with dramas 😂 but this one? It’s genuinely so good! One of the few long K-dramas that’s truly worth rewatching multiple time! 🍿💖

Botched lip job and wooden acting😬?
Even a drama theater student could do a better job, feels bad for the actress who lost the spot to this hack.

Eun soo acting was super good, too bad, strong female characters/actress are rare in kdrama.
Thanks for saving my time, have a good day.
avistaz got eng, CH and JP subtitles for S01+SP+ SP2
FL is married and they introduced the ML as friend
Eun Soo(Ha Hee Ra) character is good or bad in this show?
He was amazing back then, carried that whole show on his back. But his next drama flopped and this one’s even worse.
No energy, no emotion, no nothing! Maybe Bossam was pure luck. Very sad to see! 😤

Use WITHS2 (Written in the Heavens Subbing Squad) subtitle instead of the newer ones!
The newer subs miss a lot of cultural and local references that really add depth to the story.
Hope you have a wonderful day! 💖☀️
