A Guilty Pleasurable Drama
Overview:
As this was Kim's first leading role, I was definitely impressed with how good her acting was for a newbie. I finally came around to watch this drama (and the rest of the series) around 5 years after it was released. I would say this was probably my favorite out of all four of the series.
Story:
Most of the storyline was easy to follow along. Warm-hearted doctor accidentally saves a foreign prince, falls in love, and goes through challenges to be with him. The only different thing about Nam is that has three fraternal siblings, which each has their own love story and series. All three of her brothers definitely filled up the gaps of the story when things got to serious and their comedic timing was always perfect. The storyline was a prefect blend of romance and drama. Nothing too dramatic, but not anything underwhelming.
Acting/Cast:
I am such a huge fan of both main cast. I loved Aum since Jam Loey Rak and Badarn Jai. This drama made me fall in love with Kim and I have been a fan of her since. Kim and Aum's chemistry was definitely there, but lacking in some parts in the drama. I loved how much Aum expressed his emotions throughout the whole series. He made my heart fluttered so many times, even though it was chessy (yes, I live for the cheese).
Music:
I don't remember any of the songs from the drama. It's been like five years since I've seen this drama and yet none of the music has stand out in my memory. I usually remember the main song from each Thai dramas I watch (because they get overplayed so much) but sadly, I don't have one for this drama.
Rewatch Value:
I would definitely rewatch this dramas for the romance and the brothers. It's a more light hearted drama with a few intense scenes. However, if you are more interested in the more serious Thai dramas, I would recommend Piang Chai Khon Nee Mai Chai Poo Wised or Raeng Pradtanaha.
Overall:
This would fall under my top 10 Thai drama category. It just suited my cup of tea which had a perfect blend of drama, love, family, and comedy. As this was Kim's first lead role, she definitely deserves her recognition. The rest of the 3 series wasn't my cup of tea, but they were still pretty interesting. So do check those out too!
