Didn’t Lu Wen attacked the camp in the first episode?

He has had previous dramas where he had a different look. I really like his look in CX, but I’m not satisfied with his character's ending, so I can’t wait for him to don the same look but get his happily-ever-after this time.

Finally finished season 2. Not going to lie, this season was a letdown. The only reason I was watching season 2 was because the preview made it seem like Cang Xuan was going to turn into a villain due to his jealousy driving him mad and his hungry for power. Well, he didn’t! They made the most anticipating scene an illusion. Wtf. I’m already not into the weak character of the first female lead and second male lead. So I was hoping Cang Xuan’s grey character would spice up the story, but everything was watered down.

The reason I felt he was an unnecessary character is that if you take out all his scenes, the story still goes on. We already have two main leads crazy in love with her; adding another one didn’t add more to the story.

And that’s why I felt the third male lead was an unnecessary character. But I just realized he’s everyone’s favorite, so please don’t come at me. Hehe.

I’m still at episode 18, so I don’t know how it will all end. But I think that even if she had known about his feelings earlier, it wouldn’t change how she feels about him. She has always seen him as an older brother, her only family member that she can count on. As for me, someone who watched this whole series because of Cang Xuan, I hate that his feelings were never reciprocated.

I really like this drama, I just wished FL had romantic feelings with ML (emperor) as well.

Can’t wait to see him in another historical drama!

There is something choppy/not flowing smoothly with episode 7 that I can’t quite explain. Does anyone feel the same? Can you help a girl out?

It was such a wholesome ending. I really loved the whole cast ensemble. Like other reviewers have stated, this is more than just a love story between two characters. Just like the title of the series, it was the Hua family blossoming through all the adversity thrown at them. I highly recommend this.

I don’t know why he even made an appearance in the background of the poster. I almost forgot he existed throughout the entire drama. LOL.

This drama is such a good watch. I took foreverrrrr to get through the first 10 episodes but I’m so glad I kept going.

Do you feel like the ending was healing though? For me, all the main characters pretty much stayed the same.

I agree with you completely. It's just plain wrong to feel happy about someone dying, regardless. Even if there are people I'm dislike and as caused me pain, I'd never find joy knowing they're close to death. It's just not right, basic human decency, you know? And if anyone in my circle ever showed that kind of attitude, like our male lead does, I'd cut them out of my life without hesitation.

Is it somewhere in episode 1 that indicated it? I’d like to go back and watch that part.
