On episode 3 and the ML started Duan Jiaxu'ing [tutoring, looking up to her, etc] the FL and she is already falling for him. Honestly, I cannot blame her.
On a different note, I hate Xian's mother with a passion. I hate her father a little bit less.
Rewatched it but i didn't like it as much as i liked it the first time. After leads started to go out, it became…
I expected/hoped to see a lot of fluff between the leads after they got together [especially because Shin Min-ah does cute stuff really well], and instead we got a lot of angst. Sure, I knew we would get to know Hong Du-sik's background at some point, but still... Such angst.
Does anyone hate Ms. Yeo's ex-husband [Mr. Chang or whatever?]. He is insufferable, his hairstyle bothers me [Not shitting on the actor here, but on the godawful hairstyle] and I sincerely wish the screen time dedicated to him was given to Oh Yoon and his daughter instead or anyone else, maybe the 2ML and "Writer Wang", or Ms. Pyo and the cute cop she likes.
On a more positive note, the couple in this krama is so cute. I love how we get to see BOTH of them slowly falling for each other, with Dr. Dimples becoming less spiky and reclusive because of him and Chief Dimples becoming less judgy because of her.
I am on episode 4, and I really like the two leads. The FL is not as expressive as I would have liked, but I will…
On episode 11, and it is nice to see the secondary leads finally becoming somewhat likeable. The 2FL seeing the ML as her "mother bird" and the 2ML seemingly settling down on the role of a cousin for the FL is reassuring.
There is already Madam Ju's firstborn [and his son, maybe his traumatized wife later also?] as big time antagonists, not to mention God herself is shady as hell, after all. I find it suffocating to watch dramas where half the characters are against the leads or doing something selfish they think will benefit the leads [like with the secondary leads almost killing the two leads earlier].
I said earlier that I hope the leads' romanced paid off, and... it did not, really. They do not make my heart flutter :( But, it is not like the romance is bad, either. I like that they very clearly and obviously like each other. It is not always the case in dramas.
I am on episode 4, and I really like the two leads. The FL is not as expressive as I would have liked, but I will just accept that as a part of her character. Not everyone is super expressive in real life either. Not everyone has 50% extra facial muscles like Shin Hye-sun has either.
The ML is cute, but I gotta say he is more of a Goblin/Dokkaebi than a demon, so far. Until I see the ML torture someone to death like Justitia/Kang Bit-na, he is a cuter, less depressed version of Kim Shin to me.
Anyways, the FL's "I am my bodyguard's bodyguard" line was fire [especially keeping in consideration she is scared for her life, so putting herself at risk for someone she does not know well was a great showcase of her appreciation for the ML], and the tango fight scene was lovely and fun!
I hope their romance pays off, because... what I dislike about this krama so far is that over 50% of the characters are nasty chaebol asshats, with some creepy Silence of the Lambs motherfucker to top it off. Oh my god, what is with kramas and the obsession with chaebol shit and serial killers.
I don’t get it why people feeling heartbroken and sympathy for SML who has been complete jerk his whole life.…
2ML reaped what he sowed, in a way. He was horrible to others, the universe clapped back and suddenly he became a sad boy. He is far from the worst 2ML I have had the displeasure of watching in the 40 or so dramas I have watched so far, though.
I felt a bit bad for him, because he never really stood a chance and even though he was a conceited jerk initially, he made a bit of an effort to change. However, think about how many girls felt exactly like he did when he played with their emotions. He reaped what he sowed, in a way. The universe clapped back and suddenly he became a sad boy.
Also, the whole red thread/fate arc was very frustrating to me.
10/10 for My Fated Boy. Finally a drama where the relationship doesn’t move like a K-drama roller coaster: one…
After watching [and really really really really loving] Hidden Love and The Day of Becoming You [not as good, but still lovely], which avoid a lot of the annoyances I had with most romance kdramas I watched, I am all aboard the cdrama romance train. Your comment just made me more excited to watch this!
I really, sincerely, genuinely DESPISE that ghost. She has this annoyingly obnoxious level of entitlement over…
She was definitely super entitled! The gal to take over someone else's body and to perform sexual stuff on top of that. Nasty stuff overall.
But, in all fairness, she IS a "virgin ghost", so I always assumed part of her behavior came from her then condition. And, she ended up being the most entertaining part of the drama to me, as immoral as she was. It sucks but I would rather watch 20 episodes of the ghost possessing Bong's body over one episode of Bong herself.
I also have a few other dramas that I always rewatch.1. When the weather is fine (3rd most rewatched drama after…
Nice list! I have been dreading watching Something in the Rain because of the infamous mother character [and it is apparently quite heavy overall? I wonder if it is 'heavy' like The Smile Has Left Your Eyes or heavier]. K-dramas are already prone to raising my blood pressure with characters most people do not seem to mind, lol.
They tried very hard to make the ML like the FL with things like the sunshine blog, but the truth is he fell in…
Yeah, the ML and FL romance does not work for me, it is clear the ML likes the ghost lady [honestly, I cannot blame him, she is very endearing and fun].
why Kdrama always make it stressful and depressing to watch, even in romcom sitcom... i like some of the moments…
Yeah, it is very rare for a kdrama to not raise my blood pressure or make me sad. Even Gaus Electronics stressed me a bit [just a tiny bit] and most of the drama is pure comedy.
