Title Hi Venus Spoiler
Thoughts as of episode 17:
I felt like the angsty stuff after the leads' relationship was made public was unnecessary, but I smelt it coming from a mile away. After all, the antagonists were yet to make a move up to episode 22 or so. That does not mean I enjoyed, so I did the ol' skibidi skippity to avoid angsty scenes. With that being said, the FL going back to the small clinic where she worked at in the beginning of the drama was a good choice, because as a doctor, the FL had a bigger connection to that place than the big hospital.

Overall, I enjoyed the drama. The main and secondary leads were all quite fun to watch, a bunch of goobers, really. The second couple, in special, almost gave me diabetes from how gooberly cute they are.

I really wanted to give this one a try ... but adopted siblings are still siblings, so that's a huge no for me
There is a break up, too, and I know the both of us are allergic to that shit.

Title Hi Venus
I just started this😭sorry wtf is wrong with her she’s so rude
FL comes off as mentally unstable early on, but that side of her pretty much disappears after episode 3 or so. It is odd, but it was for the better. I would not enjoyed the FL being aggressive and judgy the whole drama.

Title Hi Venus Spoiler
Thoughts as of episode 17:
It took a bit too long for the leads to get together, but honestly, it also makes sense given their personalities. They are both down to Earth and sort of pragmatic, so they both ended up overthinking and overanalyzing their feelings for each other.

Also, they are very nice to each other even before dating, and I love that the leads spend SO MUCH TIME together. Like, they work together, they have lunch/dinner together, they often go to work/go back home together. It is just so nice! I think the last drama I watched were the leads spent so much time with each other was "Love Me, Love My Voice" and that is a TOP 3 drama to me.

That is not to mention the leads always have things to talk about. They chat the hell out of each others' ears every episode. Watching this right after "Amidst a Snowstorm of Love" makes me appreciate this aspect of the drama all the more, because as cute as the leads in said drama were, they never had anything to talk about lol.

The biggest change after they start dating is naturally the physical intimacy [and, the fact they smile a lot more now, especially the FL]. They are still having a secret relationship [though, someone took photos of them together, so it will probably not last], but it is cute watching they sneak into places without surveillance at work so they can be affectionate with each other. Also, even though they are dating in secret, they are really not putting that much effort into hiding the fact they are sweet on each other. It is obvious to anyone with a functional brain that the leads are in love with each other [and that is CUTE!].

Anyways, can I just say how much I love the ML? He is kind, but being kind is something many MLs have in common. What makes him stand out to me is that unlike most serious, brooding MLs, the ML here is a goofball! He makes faces, he jokes around, he teases the FL. The drama implies that he is "childish" at times, but IMO he is someone who seems to be super fun to be around.

The FL is initially more serious, but maybe it is because she interacts with the ML so much or maybe that is how she is on the inside, but it turns out she is also quite goofy and fun later on. I was getting kind of bored of her around episodes 12, 13... maybe? I thought she was too stiff or something, but my perspective on her sure changed.

The secondary leads are also quite cute! 2FL is a fun time, like the ML. With those two at her side, the FL is sure to live a very fun life!

That being said, I am scared of potential break ups in the next 7 episodes. This drama has antagonists, like most and they have not shown their fangs yet. Please, let it have no break ups and minimal angst. Pleaaaaaaaaaase.

There's something that's rubbing me the wrong way with the MLs. It's not like I hate them or something because…
I agree with you. At first, I thought I was being an hypocrite, because I was fine with the ML being 25 and the FL being 19 in Hidden Love, so why am I so bothered by the leads here? I think you nailed the exact reason I am feeling uncomfortable watching Falling Into You and it is the ML's behaviour.

In spite of being only 19, Sang Zhi did not act like an immature brat in Hidden Love. It was obvious she was a young lady, but she mostly matched Duan Jiaxu when it comes to being mature and being an adult, so the red flag alarm bells in my brain were silent. In this drama, however, not only the age gap is larger, but the ML acts like a kid! The contrast between how the FL and ML act is insane!

Another age gap drama that did not bother me was My Fated Boy. ML was 24, FL was 31. ML was more energetic and daring than the FL, but ultimately still very clearly an adult, so their relationship never really felt weird to me.

The drama focused almost entirely on his profession, with barely any romance. The angsty setup hooked me at first…
Thanks for the warning. I apologize for the rambling in advance, but I cannot with romance dramas where the focus is on everything except the goddamn romance. Having SOME focus on the leads' jobs is important to make the world feel real and lived in [for instance, I enjoyed the Traditional Chinese Medicine stuff in The Best Thing and all the singing and dubbing in Love Me, Love My voice], buuuut...

I just finished "Amidst a Snowstorm of Love" and the second half was 90% billiards, 5% angst and 5% leads being together. It was so obnoxious I do not want to see a billiards table or cues for the next 20 years, if I live that long ;-; Even worse examples of this are "You Are My Hero" [I hated the dollar store Grey's Anatomy stuff so much and cop shit in non-police dramas is always garbage, no exceptions lmao] as well as "Road Home" [the damn ML should have married his job and his cop/swat coworkers].

sorry but what is a killing intend to love trope?
I think they meant enemies to lovers trope. It is not very realistic, I suppose, but that is why I watch dramas lmao. I do not want shitty realism in my escapism :D

So it is coming to Viki and I am scared. MDL loves to hate wholesome ML and I am terrified they are going to down…
Does MDL really hate wholesome MLs when dramas like Hidden Love and The First Frost are so popular in big part of because of their respective MLs?

eugh same I am at ep 14 and it's so boring the male lead is boring their relationship is boring they barely talk…
I thought the leads were occasionally very cute, but yep, they barely talked! They were lovers, sure, but it did not seem to me like they were friends also, you know? There was a massive lack of chatting about whatever, banter, teasing and such.

They kiss a lot of times! She "denies" him when they are in public, once when they had a fight, and the…
I watched quite a few c-dramas with a fair amount of kisses and decent skinship, though. I personally do not expect nor want borderline porn-y levels of physical affection, buuuut... It can be done better.

Easily my favorite aspect of this drama. FL's cousin was the biggest shipper.
