Loved it
This is the kind of drama that you become so engrossed with, you finish watching and feel an emptiness in yourself and don't know how to go :D The story was this good for me.
Congratulations for makind a drama that shows Chinese people's dedication for the sports. Personally I really liked the whole "students-starting their professional career sport athletes" storyline and how it was written. I think it was realistic and showed all sides: the high and happy times, the struggles, pain, hardships. Always afraid to start dramas with so many episodes, but in this case it wasn't too much and didn't drag. I REALLY loved that even though there were love triangles (and quadrats:D), evil plottings and all things usual, things got resolved, people communicated, and thank god no big and annyoyingly unbelievable issues happened that are in most cases present in romance dramas. The emotionally difficult scenes were nicely balanced with the fun parts.
Every one of the main leads' and supporting chatacters' acting was good. Nicely portrayed charachters, great friendships and connections. Nothing to day: charachters were great. People in this drama can act!
Steven Zhang and Janice Wu what can I say: great acting! Loved loved loved that real affectionate scenes were written and how the leads played them (tho Janice was a sometimes a little like the typical chinese FL who don't know how to kiss) . Steven Zhang was so great acting the intimate-affectionate scenes too, really nice kisses there. ű
Usually I feel with almost every chinese and korean drama that couple scenes are not really affectionate, intimate and the leads can be kind of...distant. I don't know maybe because I'm European and I expect better intimacy level because helloooo you are boyfriends and girlfriends, act like it duh. Okay sorry for my ranting :D
Also a favourite of mine was the use of nickname in this drama, because tbh not many dramas, well almost none of the dramas (or at least what I watched) use any endearments and nicknames.
Fell in love with the songs, especially with "The moment I met you"
Will definitely re-watch, because who wouldn't want to see Steven's acting (swoon)
