Well, well, well -- so for ep 37 & 38 - read at your own discretion
The Emperor/Empress - all seems to realize the truth about things when 5th Princess came running in to go and tried blame NN for her traps that she set up on them. In the process of trying frame/blame NN by 5th Princess for her wrongs - things let slip through her mouth about what had actually happened to NN in the past - and also what she actually did during the Empress' bday celebration. To try to make matters worst for NN -- it actually backfired on her by a lot. As she was trying to get away with "setting NN with the 5th Prince" - First person coming in with power was actually Consort Yue - helping NN to clear up the mess that was actually caused by the 5th Princess! Haha, her grand entrance & the slap on her face was so "cool" and composed... later on when the Emperor ask for more proof that NN did indeed try to due something wrong with the 5th Prince -- then LBY came walking in with the servant whom he just grilled for the full truth -- trying to get her to tell the truth to the Emperor/Empress/Consort Yue and everyone present. In the process of this all 5th prince spill out the truth of what he witness - back when NN was shoved into the water the 5th princess' servant/friends and then also where they threw in "two snakes" to go bite her. Of course in the back of LBY's mind he was super furious of what happened to his fiance NN and what she actually suffered plus didn't tell him about it at all. But then again, NN still felt a bit insecure about her feelings towards LBY - still reserved about it. yet in honest truth she knows she loves him.
LBY revenge towards those 8 girls families involved in pushing NN into the water - was not all just about that. He also punished them b/c they were the ones "took all the money" from the emperor's storage bank/from other innocent ppl too. He said so him during one of the family's punishment period at one of the gates palace/family's home (I think). Where he had 5th prince witness it as well as his side kicks-aides and Minister of Justice - Yuan Shen.
LBY - receiving the punishment - was not just to push NN to confront her love to LBY but also to lower down the guards of those he want to dig info up at the Censorate by stealing the scrolls from them. Although I still don't think it was a good idea for the Emperor to set that up with LBY -- to make NN confess her true feelings towards him (LBY), I feel that the 2 really should just sitdown and talk it over properly instead of lying to her and making her confess feelings - esp with such a difficult past background of hers and his too.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth of the drama thus far with these 2 recent episodes being aired.
Ok going to say it once and leave it at that. Some ppl's voices can never change - even if they grow older. So, accept this fact and stop complaining about the FL's own original voice. Another matter- who are you to judge who is good looking or not as a female??? Excuse me, that very feminist and really insulting to all females in the world. Everyone person has their own beauties and deserves respect always. Respect others just as you want others to respect you. Quick to judge -- that's the worst way ever. This is where there's such thing as being a racist, stereotyping everyone the way you want them to be! Did you know what you say can hurt a person's feeling?!? Every time I hear someone complain about anyone (actors/actresses/artists) etc -- that's call cyberbullying! This is where all those hate - eventually will lead to these famous people to commit suicide at a young age. No one in this world deserves to learn about something that someone said - just b/c it doesn't fit their criterias or expectations!
As a viewer - you should only focus on their acting skills, their compatibilty with one another to make the story flow well and come to life (from novel to real life drama). If you judge a drama just b/c of the actor's/actress' voice, looks, etc. Then sorry, you should not bother leaving a comment about it -- that's consider inappropriate, hurtful and disrespectful to the actresses/actors/artists themselves. Have you taken any acting or singing jobs? Can you really do a better job than them? If not, then don't say you know everything about how much effort/time these actors/actresses put in to it or they shouldn't be in this drama - b/c their voice sounds so babyish or kidish or whatnot. If these are the points you don't like about them - then move on from this drama - don't watch it! Leave it to those who will appreciate how much time, effort, energy they put into this whole drama - to bring the story to life! Everyone deserves respect/praises/appreciation not the opposite of these points at all.
To wrap it up - the latest 2 episodes I watched - ep 9 & 10 were awesome and sweet. Then ending of ep 10 -- now that's a major plot twist - did she do that on purpose? or did she realize that she loves him? or did she do that - in order to trick him and later betray him for it?!? Tbh, I hope it's not the latter part of my guesses. I truly hope that they will really fall in love with one another - and not use the "name of love" to get away from things through trickery...guess we'll have to wait and see. Excited for the next episodes to come -- long wait for it though.
For a quick summary of the latest 2 episodes: 28 & 29
YM, YD and TZ - these three in some ways works well -- esp when YD ended up in her original form b/c of the "evil lamp person". Sigh -- although YM and TZ fight -- there's seems to be a reason one or another to distract the "person" they are trying to solve all the mysteries happening at the palace. Funny at times when the 3 clashes with each other -- esp b/w YM and TZ over YD...who she should follow or be with. Luckily in the end YM agree to YD - to allow her to follow TZ wherever he goes reluctantly - as he knows he wants YD to be happy either way.
As for the "evil lamp person" - she's faking everything & lying about being in a certain sect. She has a lot of power to wanting to destroy YD and trying to steal TZ's powers too. I think she's up to no good and that thing she gave to TZ is a fake one - to temp TZ to her "powerful" place. I hope that TZ and YM sees through her and destroy her once for all in the end -- she's super annoying and every time I see her onscreen, I want to skip over that part of the scene and ignore her.
Too bad for Jiang Chen and Pei Luo - they both died --> JC died because PL wants to gain immortal powers and in the end framed her for something he did -- PL died b/c of his selfish greed and of course YM took back his ancient artifact that belongs to him -- that allowed PL to lived a bit longer in the mortal realm.
As for TZ wondering why YM has such strong powers he has never seen before from YM -- it's b/c YM is from an ancient fish fighting clan that the Heavenly Realm partially forgotten when they serve the Heavenly King back in the days of the historical battle b/w good and evil. YM is the son Fish Fighting Clan (?) - who was saved and he eventually regained his powers back when he and YD were in Heaven Realm before YD was framed for something she never did in her life and she jump the bridge b/c of that. TZ haven't exactly met YM back in the Heavenly Realm - hence why he doesn't exactly know who he is and what kind of power he had. I'm sure once the three travel together -- TZ will eventually learn more about YM's past (my guess) from YD may be.
Anyhow, that's my 2-cents worth of input into these last two episodes.
Huh, the automatically switched back their bodies back in ep 1. It was such a short time body switch. It doesn't last long...which means the MDL notes are incorrect. My observation thus far for this drama - from ep 1 -8: One thing for sure there's definitely a lot of humor in this drama that'll make you laugh...and there's a scene when the two main leads standing atop the Heavenly realm palace to watch the sunrise & the magical whale of the clouds flying across the skies -- kinda reminds me of the other ongoing drama - Immortal Samsara - feels like a scene that relates to Y.Y (T.Z) parents in the past. :P what coincidence!
Anyways, read at your own risk/discretion! don't blame me for what I saw/observe from this drama.
She and the main ML (Dong Fang Qing Cang) are together because of some kind of special spell that links their emotions/body together -- whenever main FL cries, get hurts, etc - he feels them all, no matter what. That's why he said those words: "Your body is mine, your blood is mine, etc" to her at one point in time (when he went to rescue her at the Haishi city from the other evil spirits). It was then he realized when they switched back to their original selves -- the special lotus flower glowing in her body that protected her when she fell into the "Haotian Tower" transferred into his body.
Hence why from then on, he has to do everything to protect her - prevent her from getting injured, sick, emotional breakdowns, etc. B/c if he doesn't, he also suffers the exact same pains/injuries/illness, etc as she does.
In the twist of fate -- when she sends him away (in order to protect him from being discovered at the "Heaven/Immortal" realm )-- he starts to have some feelings for her - even though he doesn't understand it all. But then he recalls that before he became strong -- his dad/master in the past also force him to have no emotions at all - so that he can become the most powerful one in all 3 realms.
Therefore, in the next episodes - either he gets caught while drifting away from the place or he went back to her. We'll have to wait & see.
Side note: I know some ppl may be annoy of the main FL - but that's technically her character -- she's an innocent/naive/simple-minded/caring/friendly character - she is a fairy that don't have much power/knowledge b/c when she became human by accident -- the roots of hers got damaged - leaving her with very little powers/knowledge to deal with everything. She was also looked down on by many others b/c she's considered a weak one and don't deserve to be in higher position of anything.
Another thing - b/w her and the 2nd ML -- Lord Chenghang (who likes her b/c she rescued him when he got injured 500 yrs ago) and originally praised her -- and then does the opposite - was b/c the 2nd ML - has no choice but to let her go (b/c he's already forced to have an engagement with another fairy instead by his brother the king) -- cause if he doesn't she will suffer the same consequences as the one who lied to the king about the "firefly stone being given to her by him". He knows how dangerous & bad that is -- he doesn't want to ruin the main FL's life - so that's the only way he can do to protect her from danger -- from his brother the king. By faking his feelings for the main FL as being nothing but just a lowly elf - in front of his brother - was the only way to secure her safety. But obviously the main FL doesn't realize this actual truth - also saw and heard the lies he said in front of brother the king and then him leave after saying those hurtful words with tears in his eyes about her. Yet it seems that the main FL didn't catch that part of him. Therefore, their relationship with one another will be full of misunderstandings.
As for Lord Rong Hao - seems like he's not the good Lord anymore - but turned evil one - in front of all he pretends to be the nice/caring person - but in actual fact he's a 2-faced evil person. Definitely cannot be trusted. I think he became like this - is b/c of the 30,000 year ago battle where the lover he loves had died/sacrificed --and he goes & saves her body - as an act of revenge he learn the evil spirits power to revenged for his loved one that got killed on the battlefield - he's so set revenge that he'll do whatever it takes to manipulate/kill anyone in the process that gets in his ways or doesn't do what he told them to do.
Xiao Lan Hua's (main FL) master I believe is the one that Lord Rong Hao loves & who had died in the battle 30,000 years ago to kill off Dong Fang Qing Cang - b/c she sacrificed herself to stop the bloody war from going any longer. But of course Xiao Lan Hua doesn't know this truth and thinks she's just traveling the world and unwilling to return back to Arbiter - where she manages the Destiny books of life of everyone.
Wow, oh wow, the last couple of episodes had me all over the place. -- well here's my 2-cents worth of insight/observations from this drama for ep 26 & 27:
Read at your own risk:
YD - TZ = well as you all said they seem sweet whenever they are not around TZ's master/leader...so annoyed with that stupid 'no love/emotion" rule. argh.... Fxxx that. excuse my language. Anyhow - those sweet moments they had, from in TZ room and First senior visit -- and asking YD to go with him around outside -- and then it downpoured -- and TZ rescues her sort of... Then the campfire scene -- TZ telling a ghost story which ended up them kissing each other by accident; to YD giving TZ an excuse to make up for the punishment he got and he rescues her during the fight b/w devils and the LX sect. After that YD wants to heal his injuries but he refuses her and then TZ giving her some medicine to take (spoon-feeding her) -- so sweet.
TZ vs YM - sigh when they came across each other - they went full heads on battling each other which annoyed YD -- she took off to do some random stuff and then gets captured by the evil lamp person...argh which turned YD into her original form. So sad. Why oh why did YD's sis have to leave her memories intact?!? Should've erased it completely before chucking her down to the mortal world. Ultimate fail. This will make YD suffer some more again b/c of this mistake her sis made. Sigh...super annoyed and want to zap her from the screen or have TZ put her into the bottle of his for capturing devils. Cause that evil lamp lady deserves it! She's not pure nor deserves to be in heaven again!
AX and Dragon Princess - sigh...these two don't belong together. AX is quite evil in so many ways -- he wants to kill Yumo no matter what. It's insane...and this hurts D.P. heart. He literally is controling her and torturing her -- plus in some ways jealous of her b/c she likes Y.M too.
Still not starting the adventure .... to open Kunlun Mountainsā¹ļø... need to be more patient and patient .....
He needs to retrieve things - the Soul Pursuit artifacts in order to be able to open Kunlun Mountains. Without them he can't do so. As well, he's also looking for a certain book to help him understand how those 5 Soul Pursuit artifacts can open Kunlun Mountains too. They are sort of starting it already - now that they are packed and leaving Shanghai by car to go to different places.
Well, after DYQ announced that the Penta-sect be disbanded -- this has caused an uproar in the martial art community.
Someone among them cannot be trusted - it could be LYS, it could be ZQH, it could be Commander Hu or it could be someone else. Someone framed DYQ already about one of the stolen Soul Pursuit order - already taken away from the "Mountain sect" (?) --and blame/frame it on DYQ that he took it from them already. One of my biggest suspicion is that LYS took it b/c he was in the city of Tianqin already before DYQ was there. He could've faked it all so that he can eventually have the control of accessing Kunlun - esp since he seems so easily compliant of when DYQ said I am in-charge, etc. I find that LYS is very sketchy there. But on the otherhand it could be someone from Commander Hu side that took it or it could also be from Ms. Ding too - b/c how many ppl knew that he, DYQ would make the move to go to Tianqin to retrieve the Soul Pursuit Order on the day he snuck out of the city.
Then again, DYQ did make a public announcement that he will disband the Penta-sect and wants to open Kunlun Mountains -- there are a lot of people unknown that could be after it too. But the biggest suspicion is still LYS - b/c he has a lot of knowledge about the Penta-sect somehow all these years too. Whether he is trustworthy or reliable or loyal is another question to be seen in the future episodes. Let the guessing game of who is the "real enemy" against DYQ - as I feel even WS can't be trust b/c of ZQH request that she gives him intel about what DYQ is up to. Whether or not she will follow thru with it or not is another matter. Not sure how DYQ feels to have her around him too - I mean he does like her and she likes him - but to be put into a position which manipulates their trust b/w each other -- I honestly don't really like it at all. Guess we'll wait and see how it goes.
As for Fengling - now I feel I cannot really trust her -- or more like she's turning jealous over him for things that aren't supposed to be -- esp in terms of the word "power" and WS. I feel like she can't be trusted either in some ways too...her agenda is definitely not clear but the biggest thing set in her mind -- "revenge for her bro that died" and Kunlun Mountains "so-called power/things in it".
Agree with you "zineaera" and well-said!! Dramas are never a flop - that's only on your own preceived mindset and fake judgement -- referring to "MTSS_2022" comment above here. Like others said -- too many dramas are released every quarter and for this drama to be ranked 3rd place on the charts (not thru cheating in pushing up the ranking, etc...is really a huge feat in itself. As well, yes - this drama has a very sensitive topic and cannot be promote like all other dramas out there too.
Everyone's taste of what type of drama/movie they like to watch is different. There's no such thing as a flop. All the cast members, directors, and crew put a lot of work into this drama and the other many dramas out there. All of them should deserve some sort of respect one way or another. If you "MTSS_2022" have not watch this drama - and just went on ahead complaining about it - sorry, that's just not fair for the drama itself. Please don't judge a drama but it's cover or other ppl's so-call "ranking/poor judgements"...b/c that's not fair to the drama itself at all.
To all "negative/quick judgers of the drama" ---> I've made it clear in my other posts - if you didn't put time to watch it and only follow the negative fake comments/viewership of the drama -- than I'd say you are missing out or probably it's not your "cup of tea" choice of drama to watch. No need to bash the drama at all without due diligence of giving the drama a chance to be watched and reviewed properly. Same goes for reading a book -- you can't really tell if a books is a good read just by looking at it's cover and say this one must be good/bad because of what others say it is. You need to put the effort and real energy to read some of it before making a comment/statement about it. So, same goes with a drama/movie. Ratings/other people's comments (good or bad) should not have an influence to you - to say if it's worth it to watch or not.
For me, I give a lot of dramas and movies a chance. There are a lot of "so-called negative comments" about certain dramas/movies out there that people say are "bad"...until I really put an effort into watching it - with deep meaning behind the words they say, actions (body language) and understanding the in between the unspoken words b/w characters - then I can tell if it's a good drama or not to watch. B/c it is then that I can acknowledge the real storyline that they author/director wants us to see - and give my true feedback to it all.
Only on ep 3 and WS disappointed me when she gave up what DYQ gave her....so i stopped watching for now Lol ummm…
No he outsmarted them and if you watch more - he will do a lot of things that will surprise you. Also, please don't be disappointed with WS - she had no choice under those circumstances they were in at the time the cops came over to the Penta-sect place. She just wants to insure that the safety of her sect members and her master too at that time. Some times in life you have to looks at the bigger picture to resolve some issues - not everything is predictable or set on revenge only.
My 2-cents worth so far of what I've watched of this drama (which for me...I only got to ep 31).
Read at your own discretion:
An Yu - Ok, do not under-estimate her as the main FL here. After so got out of prison - she had her insecurities at first and super cautious of who she becomes friends with. Over time, she trusts the main ML - Shao Mo Li - b/c everything that he has done for her from beginning to the current episode that I've watch - he's there to protect her/watch over her/love her/support her, etc. Once they are together - the remain together. Shao Mo Li was the boy she once saved when he was young and when he grew up, he has his heart set for her. He would never desert her or give up on her - despite her insecurities and lack of trust at the beginning of their friendship -> lover later. There are no triangle relationships - despite everyone stating that she has. Which is untrue. She made it clear to the ex-husband with Shao Mo Li that she never loved him after she was discharged from prison. She only met with him b/c of their child (being the biological mom of Yiyi) is the one whom she had lost custody over these years - from when she went to prison and left afterwards. She became stronger over time and became a winner at a boxing tournament - which helped her make a very importand decision about selling her shares (stocks of Zhouyue) - in the end she didn't agree with selling them and that's a wise decision to do so - as she put so much energy in the company and originally the company was her dad's too. Therefore, I see her mature a lot over time, becomes smarter and wiser too with the support from Shao Mo Li from behind.
Shao Mo Li - His maturity is so much stronger than An Yu's ex-husband. He is so skilled at dealing with matters that at times he seems invincable -- but that's all due to those years when he was younger and got bullied at the orphanage. Only when he met An Yu and got saved by her did he changed afterwards. He went abroad and became a very skilled businessman - who can win matters given to him with swift investigations with his right-hand man - Ye Kai.
Ex-husband of A.Y. aka Zhou Yuan (but in actual fact his real name is Xiao Yong) - has from beginning up to episode 31 been set on "the so-called revenge" on "all who he thought killed his father and eventually his mom too". It's kinda sad that his brain is wired the wrong way and reluctant to acccept the truth. First, he took his revenge on An Yu's dad - which lead to his imprisonment and eventually An Yu's dad died of a heart attack in prison - which in his mindset thinks it was the right thing to do. Even though he felt no remorse from beginning until the end of episode 31 - when he did find out the "real truth behind his dad's death - which actually his dad was the weak one - he owe a lot of debt in the past -- since his dad couldn't handle it anymore - therefore jumping to his death from their apt in the past - and landed in front of him when he was a child. Naturally speaking as his son - this truth never came to light until many years later - when An Yu was helping Shao move to her place and a letter was found in the book in her storage room area of the apt. " Therfore, no one actually made Z.Y dad died - his dad actually really commited suicide. But b/c the truth came out later - the damage that he had been done to everyone all these years lead to nothing in return.
Mr. Lin - I honestly don't know if we want to trust him - at times he seems nice but I think he's playing dirty - in terms of greediness too - esp when he want to take over Yimi corporation and also had been make some ppl in the company lose their jobs too b/c of his greediness. As well, like Shao said to him - when are you using A.Y to manipulate the matters b/w the 2 of them (ex-husband and her) - tell her to use this opportunity to take revenge for her father against Zhou Yan. Somehow, I think Mr. Lin is a very sketchy and untrustworthy person at all still. I shall see how that will play out in the last 5 episodes of this drama - sooner or later.
Lailai (best friend of A.Y) - from beginning up till now - Lailai has been loyal to An Yu thru certain circumstance to met, they lived together and work together all these times too. I'm glad she's one of the bubbly type of personality - who is willing to stick by An Yu through thick and thin times of her life - after they start working together at Zhouyue. What's even cooler is that she's to be married to Ye Kai soon too - after they had their up/dpwns in their relationship -but in the end they are officially together - and got engaged too. Lailai also worked hard to get to where she is today in the company of Zhouyue too.
As for the other characters & their side stories - makes the story a lot more interesting too. Anyhow, these are my 2-cents worth of observation/opinion of this drama. In summary - revenge doesn't resolve anything and could lead to irreversible consquences in the end. Best way is to really learn the truth and nothing but the truth. Let go and treat others around you better. Move on and don't hold onto any grudges at all.
My 2-cents worth of ep 17 & 18 - and the drama thus far observations:
Well, well, well... ***Viewer: Read at your own discretion and please do not criticize me/blame me on things that you have read here. As I did warn y'all these are my observations on most of the key characters of this drama thus far from the beginning till the end of episode 18. Another note, if you ever plan to watch a drama - please watch the drama more than just a few minutes before judging it. Don't say it's a "bad drama" without watching furthermore into the story/drama itself. Some dramas needs time to start the "real/important story" itself. Watching only a few minutes means nothing at all. Cause that's literally telling me you are just "drama hopping" and go + criticize a drama - b/c it doesn't meet "your so-called standards/expectations/criterias/type of dramas either". I'm sorry to say it bluntly here - If you don't like the story at all (esp the type of drama style) - then don't bother commenting that it's bad...or whatnot about it... etc -- move on and keep your nonsense comments to yourself! The actors/actresses/directors/story-drama writers put a lot of time, energy, efforts into producing such a large scale drama like this one! They don't need to be "disrepected/criticize by YOU who only just watched a "few minutes" of the drama and say it's "BAD"! Making other viewers who haven't even watch it - to not watch it b/c of YOUR unfair judgement on the drama as a whole! YOU didn't even put enough TIME/ENERGY OR EFFORT into "REALLY WATCHING THE DRAMA" to know or understand what the story is truly about. IF YOU ONLY WATCH JUST A FEW MINUTES OF IT AND SAY IT'S BAD -- THEN MOVE ON AND LEAVE NO COMMENTS HERE or on any other dramas that were treated the same way because they don't deserve your unnecesssary criticisms at all. ONLY those who put more time into it and have spent a great deal of watch a handful of episodes and feel its not good then they can comment. But not those who only watched the drama by just a few minutes. Cause there's nothing in it to see. You barely even CONSIDERED TO HAVE WATCHED THE DRAMA AT ALL! Excuse my "frustrations/anger here" - as that's really making me fume when ppl says a drama "is bad/horrible" b/c "I only watched a few minutes and then dropped it". Well good for you -- move on and don't need to leave message here to discourage others from watching the drama. Finally, before reading further on my opinions -- YOU THE VIEWER DECIDE IF IT'S WORTH YOUR TIME TO WATCH IT OR NOT. DON'T LET OTHERS MANIUPULATE YOU IN BELIEVING THAT A DRAMA IS NOT WORTH WATCHING UNTIL YOU HAVE WATCHED IT YOURSELF! Therefore, what I wrote here is at your own discretion to read it or not my opinions/observations of this drama thus far*
DYQ - he now knows that he cannot rely or trust ZQH. As ZQH is mentally unstable and stubborn as crazy on keeping the Penta-Sect going forward. Calling DYQ's dad a traitor - and as DYQ was about the leave in the ending scene of ep 18, he wants to make the Penta-Sect fight him once gain. Whether DYQ will leave unscath from this fight that ZQH suddenly call upon - to go against him will be a tough battle he doesn't want to deal with. Aside from that it, DYQ's dad did say it was his choice on how to handle the matters after his death in regards to the Kunlun Mountains and disbanding the Penta-sect...is a difficult task for DYQ to take on - esp when he doesn't want to be the Heavenly Official, only to just fulfill his dad's last wishes before he died.
WS - is ultimately not cautious of what she says to ZQH - she just spits everything out to him without due diligence - and to me, I really don't like this part of her...again in this story - you think she'd be smarter - but no -- she's another naive one. Since she spilled the beans to ZQH - it gives him more info to try to track and destroy anyone and everyone that gets in his way to get to the Kunlun Mountains. ZQH is another greedy and selfish person. In my opinion - he doesn't really completely care for his ppl - including WS. If he did truly care, he wouldn't send her to marry DYQ - cause doing so, eventually will kill her like how DYQ's mom died in the past. WS definitely still don't understand the huge consequences if she goes and marries DYQ - if he became an Heavenly Official. There's no such thing as a "real home". Home = death
LYS - he's still stubborn as crazy and set on revenge as always. He still doesn't believe DYQ dad's words b/c he was late and wasn't there to hear the truth from him before he (DYQ dad) passed away from the injuries he sustained. He so hung up on revenge - that he wants everyone dead -- blaming them all for his family members death. Including the recent family members death (his brother).
FengLing - She's also set on somewhat a revenge mindset too - but firmly set on finding Kunlun Mountains too - but for a different purpose than that of DYQ. I feel a sense of distrust from her too and I'm glad that DYQ decides to not get involved with her in finding Kunlun Mountain -- as there's a huge risk to them both. As her brother is still hugely set on revenging for his family members death - which includes indirectly blaming DYQ for it all too,
ZQH - definitely one person you don't want to mess with or be connected with - what he says and do are 2 different things - he's completely two-faced and untrustworthy - he's hung up on keeping the Penta-sect together - b/c he wants to take control of the "Kunlun Mountains" stuff that's been hidden and invisible to all - these years. He'll go to the extremes to get what he wants and willing to so-call used the Penta-sect in the wrong way for his selfish desires and control -- and willing to sacrifice/kill anyone that goes against what he thinks is the right way of doing things. As soon as DYQ announced that he wants to disband the Penta-sect on behalf of his dad -- he refuses and goes crazy -- calling DYQ's dad a traitor -- and now he also wants to kill DYQ on the spot too b/c DYQ doesn't want to be the Heavenly Official nor does he want to keep the Penta-sect intact. This is where I see that he is mentally unstable and dangerous to all who goes against his mindset. My biggest bet is that he was the one behind LYS family members death including his parents, one younger sister and brother too. As well as the one who injured DYQ's dad too months beforehand indirectly through Commander Hu's greediness of things as always. He calls all the other separate "sects" - who hasn't met together for a long time - all "traitors" and wants to "purge" them all. Therefore, he's super determine to be in super control of the whole "Penta-sect".
Commander Hu - I bet my money on this person - for the one injuring DYQ's dad and making DYQ dad as the scapegoat for all things that were taken from the tomb of many emperors of the past. He's the one whose super greedy for anything and everything related to the Kunlun Mountains. Nothing can get past him.
Unknown upper person -- "Her Ladyship". There's not much details thus far other than that's she powerful enough to control all matters at stake - including people's lives too. So far we haven't seen any real signs of who she is and what she looks like either.
Ms. Cui - Her background is super complicated - as she's somewhat related to Commander Hu but at the same time she's a member of the "mover" sect too. What she said about the missing true leader of the "mover" sect, and the "mountain" sect has me wondering how much truth is she telling there. We do know that the "mover" sect is much more powerful than the others thus far aside from the Penta-sect themselves. How much trust can we get out of her is hard to know - we do know one thing -- and that is she is loyal to the "Heavenly Official" leader - whoever that may be in the past/present/future.
Sun San Xuan - being in charge of the "Gold Touching" sect (but he's only a representative leader of the group) - again his "master" has been missing for 10 years and when DYQ was hoping to get the special 5 sects "Soul Pursuit Order", he couldn't give it to him b/c his master has disappear and haven't been found for over 10 years. Which made DYQ even sadder/disappointed by this news b/c this will make it harder for him to complete the "mission/task" at hand of opening the "Kunlun Mountains" wherever that may be.
The servant following DYQ is really not helpful nor super wise at all. He's definitely super immature and naive on everything he sees or do. Gets scaried easily and talks nonsense a lot of time too.
Now the relationship b/w the 2 ML - will WS protect DYQ this time around - when ZQH sent out the command to have the Penta-sect member gather together or will she hurt him once again like she did somewhat at the beginning of the drama in episode 1? Will she let him off? Will she remain loyal to him or go against him - is the matter of time in the upcoming episodes to come. DYQ did give her a chance to join him in the hunt for the Kunlun Mountains together as he does like her - but she turned him down b/c she's stubbornly still mad at him for not taking her as "his wife -- via being a Heavenly Official member". As well she is partially too hung up on their "so-called engagement/potential marriage" thing/matter too. Can't think outside the box of what is actually "good for her and their chances of a future together".
I agree with DYQ - the Penta-sect should be disabanded - cause their rules/regulations/traditions are not good and old-fashioned. Times are changing -- people need to change too at the same time, otherwise they cannot keep up and be left out. As well, if someone doesn't follow the rules they are considered traitors and must be killed is even more ridiculous and outrageous.
Kunlun Mountains - should really not exist -- b/c that has destroyed many families' lives -- and has lead to countless deaths/greed/foolishness/selfishness of people - b/c those who don't know about it think it's all about "money, power, etc" - when it's not just all of that to it.
Well, that's my 2-cents worth of observations from this drama thus far of all the key characters that matter the most in this drama.
The first few minutes of lost in kunlun were so bad I dropped it. Iām also watching IS
that's where you are judging the drama by it's cover without putting more effort into actually watching the drama - to really know if it's good or not. Therefore, I disagree with your method in watching any drama - you don't give it enough time to play out the story - to see if it's good or not. That's why a lot of ppl are missing out on good dramas - b/c they don't know how to watch them properly to give a proper evaluation of it. Don't criticize something just by a few minutes. That's literally not worth telling others if the drama is good or bad!!
How is Lost in Kunlun Mountains? I heard there were a lot of editing issues for the first few episodes. Has that…
Actually I am enjoying Lost in Kunlun Mountains and also Immortal Samsara. Both have very interesting stories to them. Those who only watched just a little bit of each drama should not say anything - b/c they did not put enough time and effort in actually trying to understand the story at all. Therefore, my 2-cents of input here is - go watch it for yourself. Don't go judging a drama without watching more than 10 episodes before deciding if the drama is good or not. It's like picking up a book - you can't judge whether a story is good or not just by looking at it's cover. You need to dived deeper into the actual story to really decide if it's good or not.
My 2-ccents take on ep 15 & 16: Viewer reading discretion advise (read at your own risk/choice) - do not bash me for my observations that i've notice in the drama.
WS & DYQ - The reason why WS is so stuck on the fact of "engagement" with the Dragon thing was the original partial purpose of it as per Penta-Sect history. DYQ unbeknowst got it & then suddenly gave it to her - when under capture by both the police & the Penta-Sect at the beginning - was what made his so confused about it -- which makes sense b/c he was away from Shanghai for almost 6+ years. He has no interest of becoming the Heavenly official over the Kunlun Mountain thing and if he became one -- the relationship b/w the 2 will not be good - cause at one point or another WS has to be sacrifice/killed like his mom did in the past. He likes her but can't accept her properly b/c of this fact. WS only came to realize how serious this issue was at DYQ dad's funeral on the water/raft from Ms. Cui who explained most of the things that happened in the past related to DYQ's mom and now at his dad's funeral too. Actually to those who thinks DYQ doesn't like her - he does like/care about her - but he's not wanting to marry her now b/c of the "Dragon Bone" thing and the Heaven Official title too - b/c those 2 items are the ones that killed her mom too as well. Plus all these times he was focused on trying to find his dad - who has been missing for a period of time until almost the end of episode 16 that he shows up to clarify somethings to him before he (his dad) dies from the injuries sustained in the past.
DYQ & LYS - the hatred/revengeful mindset of LYS - towards DYQ's dad is harsh towards him too. As LYS definitely doesn't know the truth about it. Not only that - we come to see that he missed to opportunity to hear the truth from DYQ's dad - before he passed away b/c he was pre-occupied with his bro's death too. Whether or not LYS will ever learn the truth of how his family died in the past will be another mystery that needs solving. But my 2-cents guess like others is that the Penta-sect leader - aka ZQH is behind it all. Cause it was so obvious that ZQH doesn't like LYS either all these years and wants to take him out so many times (kill him). ZQH said so himself when he visited LYS' home. DYQ learned about the truth that his dad was not the mastermind of killing LYS' family (parents and his other younger sister).
DYQ & his dad - this is the saddest part of the whole story thus far. DYQ had been looking for his dad for almost over a year (or was it 6 months) in Shanghai. While all this time his dad was on an island - barely escaping death to go find him months later - telling him some of the truth of the questions his why trying to find out - esp 1: Who was mastermind in wanting to kill his dad (the military official)? 2. Where in the world was the Kunlun Mountains? His dad said it exisit - he's been looking for it --- for many years but still yet to find it -- b/c it was lost in the process generations before it got to him. His dad actually wants to find it and return it back to the country (it's ppl) and disband the Penta-sect, but haven't been able to do so - no proper clues about it. His dad thought he had some leads but in the end fail to show up and hence why he was almost killed in the process of it all. So, sad to have DYQ see his dad in the final last 2 days & hours leading up to his death due to the injuries he had sustain from that "blast" that almost killed him by the "unknown military officer". My guess is that Commander Hu is behind his almost impending death (or by someone even higher up). Another thing that is sadder was the fact that before his dad passed away - his dad saw vision of his mom in a red dress and commented that she was still beautiful even until his passing away. Which made DYQ cried and the others in the room too. His time with his dad was definitely too short in the end.
One cliffhanger note here: Towards the end of ep 16 - the so called stick that he had put on the raft suddenly after the raft was lit on fire - to send his dad to heaven -- somehow "fireworks" came out of the stick and DYQ notices this problem and trying to bring his dad funeral raft back to shore to investigate it...is my guess at what's he going to do next -- in the next episode of this drama. Something is definitely up-to-no -good and DYQ doesn't like it.
Another note - it's interesting that all who is after DYQ knows where he lives and can go freely in/out his place - even if he set up a trap there/warning signal of impending danger approaching, Basically DYQ has no privacy/secret place to hide from those who are his enemies at all. It seems like everyone is on a watch over him -- both good/bad.
Romance - not sure if there'll be any real romance b/w the 2 leads - as the main focus is really about the "Kunlun Mountains" and all the mystery behind it -- and why are there so many greedy people trying to take it away from him all these times too. Either way - we'll just have to wait & watch more to see how this will affect their future relationship with one another.
To all "negative/quick judgers of the drama" --->
I've made it clear in my other posts - if you didn't put time to watch it and only follow the negative fake comments/viewership of the drama -- than I'd say you are missing out or probably it's not your "cup of tea" choice of drama to watch.
