I kinda like this type of drama -- b/c it's light-hearted & full of comedy -- I mean...seriously can't take everything "as is"...the ML is playing around with her so much...hahaha...and the FL seems to be super smart in some areas too... :P
It's rare - that in the original of this drama (the 68 episodes)...the ending turns out that the Main FL ends up with the 2nd Male Lead rather than the Main Male Lead. I also watched the director's cut -- where it just shows she meets back the Main Male Lead and not the 2nd Male Lead. I mean I'm glad she chose the 2nd Male Lead - b/c he's more caring & have been there for her all these time since elementary school till where she is now...But I'd call this a rare drama b/c how often does the 2nd Male Lead win the Main Female Lead in the story? I think all the dramas I've watched thus far, only this one did which makes this drama a lot more unique than others I have seen all these years.
Is this really as bad as people say it is? :( I watched the first ep and I really enjoyed it a lot, and I don't…
In my opinion - no it's not as bad as ppl say it is. For me, I enjoyed it. Although there were some frustrating parts -- but that's part of the story & their lives. For me I gave them 10 stars.
also he feels more like a creepy uncle than a second lead lmao
Ya, no kidding...too over-bearing & annoying. The FL is getting annoyed by him and hence why she never invited him to the "farewell mini concert"...only the ML. Plus in a way she accepted the ML's proposal to be his g/f too...but as usual funny thing she says - base on your actions I will consider it. As well, the 2 went on a date together too (ice skating and whatnot).
I really love this version the best of the best! Yes, it may be short -- but there is season 2 to it, plus a movie of their story too. You need to watch all 3 to get the full story of HYD! I love the songs in it too. It may be compact - but it delivers the story you need. I first watched it when it was released and many more times afterwards. Never get bored of it at all. Definitely a must watch Jdrama.
What's your favourite drama order list?Mine:1. China2. Japan3. Taiwan4. Japan 2018 version (but needs a second…
1. Japan 2. South Korea 3. China (2018 - version) 4. China (2009 version) 5. Japan 2018 version (agree - needs a second season) 6. I never watched the Taiwanese version (I tried but didn't like it).
Did the ML just order the attempted sexual assault of the FL? And people actually support their pairing?
I don't think he actually wanted it that way. But to get on her nerves --- the boys under him mis-interpreted his instructions & so he gets angry about it afterwards & throws the guys into the swimming pool.
also he feels more like a creepy uncle than a second lead lmao
Plus he is so rude in episode 17!! Like wtf! The 2 main leads were together -- b/c the FL invited him to a private final concert of hers only for him. Nobody else. Besides who does the 2nd lead think he is. Bossing ppl around...excuse me. Bloody jerk! Stalker...like get lost! The FL has no interest in you. Ignored your phone (2nd lead) calls, never answered your calls either when she is hurting.
That old, ugly and disturbing Jia Yun gives me the chills!! He's a stalker and acts as if he owns Liang Chen.…
I totally agree with you! He shows up everywhere -- even when the 2 main leads are together downstairs from her apartment -- he was in the car -- watching the 2 of them sharing cute times together...now that's what I called 1000% stalking!! Nasty & horrible...always get in the way. The other time -- when she went to get ginger to make the ginger water for Herman -- he forces his way over to Herman's place without any due reasons - and telling him to stay away from Zhu Liang Chen. Who the fxxx is he to her anyways -- ya...you have a crush on her...but she's not a g/f of hers & who are you to tell ppl off. I hate Jia Yun -- he reminds me of Mr. Fang in the other drama (Sunshine of My Life) -- but the problem is Jia Yun is completely too old for her. Disgusting.
Am I the only one who thinks that the male lead is slightly immature and creepy?
No of course he isn't...are you nuts?? It's the 2nd lead that is creepy & annoying...shows up in front of her place out of the blue (in the car) -- watching the 2 main leads showing affection to one another...now that's called real stalking...disgusting!
Can someone explain to me why we need that guy who's acting in a movie and he's pursuing Ms. Ma? Why do we care?…
OK, the guy who is after Ms. Ma is actually a friend of Zhu Liang Chen too -- and Ms. Ma & Zhu Liang Chen are also friends too somehow -- so I'd say they will end up to be secondary couples in the story.
Strange...I read part of the story -- first chapter -- and compared to the drama - it seems quite different -- setting wise and whoever translated it - the he/she grammar points are so mixed up -- I become confused by it all. Doesn't feel the same.
i want to watch this so… did this drama have love triangle? sorry, these days i don't want to watch a drama…
Hmmm....not a full love triangle -- the 2nd lead (stalker uncle vibes) -- has a huge crush on her...but the FL doesn't completely have any interest in him (once she found out that his cellphone - which looks like her's -- uses her birthdate as the unlock number freaked her out a lot. She doesn't like guys who do that...As for the other side of the relationship ...I think both main leads - will recognize each other over time & probably loves each other eventually only.
also he feels more like a creepy uncle than a second lead lmao
I agree with you both -- the 2nd lead is completely out of the FL. WTF...He should go and date the FL's manager is more like it. Wrong person to play the 2nd lead to fall in love with the FL...and I'd say the 2nd lead is the one who is the stalker not the ML. The 2nd lead's cellphone unlock number is the FL's birthdate (clearly when the FL found out about this -- she wanted to stay away from him many times)...and he also has access somehow to her apt too? If I remember correctly - the night the FL got drunk at the beginning or so -- he drove like mad from one city to where she was. Seriously, that's complete stalking. Then making excuses to join her at the after party of the Live stream completion earlier - when Herman & Zhu Liang Chen was originally the only ones invited. Plus at one point when the 2 main leads walked off - after the FL return, the 2nd ML approached her with his jacket...wtf...I don't think she wants it from him either. Plus on her birthday celebration the 2nd ML showed up unannounced suddenly too. I called that complete stalking (he kept making sure he can clear his schedule to stalk her)...ewww...and gross. Get lost. Zhu Liang Chen is playing it cool around Herman --> b/c she already started developing feelings towards him but doesn't want to admit it at the moment - b/c of her status as a musician - whereas Herman is only a university student about the graduate & go into the working world.
So, the drama ended earlier than planned -- it finishes at Episode 43 as aired by China Zone. I hope that this website will reflect on this change asap, thanks! Overall, the drama was really worth watching - it's fresh & unique topic. Especially in regards to the cruise ship industry - how it started/attracted guests from China - from the Shanghai port -- and how life aboard the ship & off the ship too.
both are very good dramas - I watch them both & each of the story are unique to it's own regards. Sunshine of My Life involves fashion designing. Whereas One Boat, One World deals with the cruise ship industry expanding into China -- with Shanghai being the main port. Of course each story - really hits home the difficulties one faces in life challenges -- and it makes it more realistic than typical drama -- that's only focus on romance & whatnot. so, I suggest you watch both - they are both worth watching.
