Scorching | Burning | Zhilie | 烧烈 Happy Birthday, Mr. Zhao.ML : Zhao Zhendong | 赵振栋FL : Cui Yiliang…
Happy belated birthday Zhao Zhendong! I hope that you had an awesome bday ever!
Hmm - I wished there's more details about where he's actually born - in some ways, I think he could have either been born in Guangdong or Guangzhou or Hong Kong - because a lot of time I hear him speak Cantonese in his dramas fluently/smoothly. Anyone has more details about him?!?
Basing on episode 14 trailers - it is time that they divorce - he came clean telling her - that he knows she's been lying all these times - but the fact that he's not coming clean about his own lies will not make the relationship work - it'll be a toxic relationship between the two - I can see that he's still trying to control her life, etc and that will definitely hurt her more, plus devastate her even more.
All in all - I don't think he really loves her - or more like really know how to love someone. I have a feeling that his background isn't as perfect as it seems either - don't tell me his company isn't real and that it's all fake (made up too) especially when we will find out - basing on the trailer - that the kid that she has been taking care of - is not his younger brother, but his son, will really messed her up too. Given that means - he had the ex-wife - whom I now believe could either be Fang Lei's or Fang Lei's sister - whom had died. Whichever it is - it will be a blow to her and she'll have trust issues too.
She was already hurt from her past - especially with her unloving real family members - except her grandmother and her older sister. Then, she was also bullied at a young age at school and currently still being bully at her workplace too by that Sun Si Wei. As well as her ex-bf too (coming to give her trouble as well). Now, we also learn the her current so-called husband (Shen Hao Ming) isn't any better, but worst - will make her in the end feel like she can't find any real "pure love" to be in a relationship with - if ever. Her current so-called husband is really a huge manipulator/controller/liar/eventually and will become toxic too.
Therefore, if they really want to ever heal - then have them divorce, leave him to go somewhere else for a while and make him understand too - that what he did was not right at all either. Otherwise, he will not learn from it and will continue to hurt her more than she has already been dealt with.
Not sure what kinda ending I want - for these two? At the current moment - I definitely don't want them to be together anymore. He's putting all the blame on her - when we as the audience sees is that "he wants to make others feel in the wrong/guilty", but never himself - if ever. Sigh.
Hmm, basing on the next few episodes of the drama - from ep 9 -12 -- there are suddenly more people getting taggled in both of the lead's life --
1. Zhou Ze Yuan has some kind of strange relationship/connection with our FL - Xu Yan.... her ex-bf? or was it her ex-husband?!? not sure - very confusing to see him show up suddenly... which makes Shen Hao Ming curious about there so-called relationship b/w the 2 of them. He seems to be also very calculative, controlling, threatening and manipulative too - not sure why though. Why is he trying to ruin her life that she's trying to build up?
2. Seems like Xu Yan's so-called family is getting tangled up in her life again - not in a good way either. Wanting to ruin her life too - argh. Ruin it already when she was young and even when she grows up, they want to ruin her life as well?!?
3. Fang Lei is back and messing up the ML's life too -- Shen Hao Ming - supposed to meet her (Xu Yan) at his flower shop (ep 12 preview) - but he didn't show up because suddenly Fang Lei is annoying Shen Hao Ming's time - even though time and time again - he told her off - that he's already married, etc. But she ignores everything and continues to try to hold him back - basing on his expression - he's getting pissed off. She's is obviously really wanting to control and steal the ML from FL - I honestly hope the ML won't fall for her and get rid of her. My guess is that the reason why he marries the FL is that he doesn't want the other girl to annoy him. But it doesn't seem to work?!? And also why did our FL met her at the cooking school and then sat down together over food?!?
4. Then, suddenly the competitor - Sun Si Wei - wanting to be always in control over our main FL - on a show, exposes our FL's lies via her so-called parents, etc. (ep 11) - not sure what will happen b/w the 2 of our main leads when this happens?!? - what is she -- jealous over her or selfish desires of being the main host of the show that FL worked hard in doing/making of?!? Seriously I want to kick her out of the company fast! She's been nothing but trouble for the FL - who has been working hard to stay in the broadcasting company of hers. It seems that she's stalking her too and prying into Xu Yan's life - not sure why and what's her business in wanting to find out about her personal life?!? Use it to ruin Xu Yan's life too?!?
5. Also, there is this annoying kid that wants to ruin the 2 main leads life too - sigh. Who's kid is that?!?
6. As well, the FL's sister - has an interest in the doctor who helped her and show up at her door in the morning too?! Hmm - not sure how that will turn out -- and also will the 2 sisters really work out their situations/problems?!?
Anyways, not sure how the 2 lead's life will be going forward - will they trust each other? or will they split? Will she run away from him because of her so-called family and ex-bf/husband is becoming annoying too? or will he leave her too b/c of Fang Lei?!? Either way - the two lead's lives are not clean slat - esp the part where Fang Lei is using her sister's death to control Shen Hao Ming's life - making him constantly guilty of something - did he do something -- that led to Fang Lei's sister's death?? Why is Fang Lei so obsessive over Shen Hao Ming - when clearly he doesn't like her at all?!? Really should put her in mental hospital jail asap! Then there's the ex-bf of Xu Yan that's giving so much trouble and headache for her. Plus Xu Yan's estrange so-called family - who never once loved her or care for - suddenly back to ruin her life too?!? What do they want from her?? Can't even give her happiness from the beginning and until now, still haven't done so either. Even when she was young in high school, she originally was accepted to university - her so-called father ruin it for her - preventing her from not going to university -- constantly only put the other daughter first rather than her. Even when Xu Yan confronts him, he calls her - a traitor/cheater, etc. Like seriously, such parents like that are the worst of the worst!
Basing on the insider interview with the director and the two leads - the two of them will divorce - the main cause, the ML is blaming her for not being honest with him, have evidence that really tears her down completely - so he left/ignores her - but to be honest - he already knew from the get go that she has been lying - so why suddenly at one point wants to blame her for her wrongs suddenly? Is it because he found out that the so-called ex-bf is always around her? or is it -- that he wants to hide his problems from her and divorce her because it? Either way - basing on the interview we can previews of them breaking apart over an envelope of so-called evidence/pictures of Xu Yan and the other guy - not sure who gave it to him though.
Then basing on other preview clips, Xu Yan's sister confront her about her lying and also we see another preview that her real parents bump into them her and her husbands family found out that she's been lying -- and walks away from her (Xu Yan) -- angrily. Which means that's where the two leads will break up/divorce - cause his parents (Shen Hao Ming's parents) will probably force him to divorce her and leave her. Either way - it's not going to be good for a while after all these confrontations b/w the two of them. Will they really get back together or forever separated? Will she disappear from his life because of her lies?
All, I know is - lying is definitely not good - but I do understand why Xu Yan does this throughout most of the drama - her biological parents never ever truly cares about her - constantly ignoring her and when they see fits, controls her life, ruins her life too and always constantly showing affection towards the older daughter - but not her ever. They even want to get rid of her when she was young - when she had a heart problem and her grandmother took her away from them because they don't want to take care of anymore and end her life possibly? She was also bullied when she was young too - at elementary school by bullies. Taunting her, etc. Also, at the same time, even the ML's mother constantly looked down on her too and treats her poorly throughout the drama on/off - plus his mother's so-called friends too. Feels like his family is completely snobbish and just because they are rich - constantly look down on her --- not until she did a special feature on her show (after she convinced her manager the change via her hardwork of changing those ladies perspective) that they look at her differently...Not only that - at the FL's workplace - she's also being bullied too by Sun Si Wei too. Then there's her ex-bf that must've hurt her in her past too and then suddenly shows back up in her life too - just because her life is getting a bit better?
On the other hand, I still don't understand why the ML is lying too and not being honest either - but put all the blame on her - when they break up/divorce each other? Like he was already trying to control her/manipulate her/treat her as a chess piece - but is he honest with his feelings towards her when they were together before they split? At times it does, but then at times he doesn't seem like it either. As well, I also realized that he keeps a tab on her - like some of his people spying on her/keep track of where she is or what she does, etc. Like under surveillance constantly or have a tracker on her (probably inside the jewelry he gives her)? So, not sure if that's actually a good thing or not. Also, I do noticed that when she ask him "how do you know what project am I working on"? and he answers her "I have my people there"... and her reaction was shocked yet at the same time quickly changes the topic - asking him if "her parents is satisfying/liked by his parents or not?" - he just answers, "I don't care if my parents like them or not, all I care is that I am satisfied and that's enough". Then she goes on to ask him, "do you really love me? why do you love me?" - he answers her "I love you, I love everything about you" -- and then proceeds on kissing her. But it seems like the two of them are walking on eggshells. He gives her things (jewelries) often and seems to know almost a lot of her - but doesn't come clean about himself.
One thing I do notice is that she (Xu Yan) at one point did say her in thoughts - that asks the (referring to the ML) question - "do I really deserve this pure innocent love or not?"
Anyways, my 2-cents worth of observation throughout this story/drama. What do you think will break the two up? How will they deal with the annoying 2 ML and 2FL that keeps on trying to ruin the two main lead's life, their parents issues - each one of them causing problems for the other. I hope those two annoying 2nd leads go to jail or mental hospital and leave the two main leads alone! Can they overcome all of these and get back together? I hope that when they get back together - it won't be at the end of the drama or break up again somewhere along the line again. Plus I do hope they will be honest with one another too sooner than later.
I just read some theory which is very interesting...They said, everytime QS died, MM in real.world.is rescued…
I want another ending - where it is actually happy - b/c I read somewhere in here from another novel fan - that the story was supposed to be a happy one for QS aka MM (in the real world).
Plus I really wanna see QS and LCZ worked more together - I also read those parts got cut out of the drama too!
They cut the scenes where Chen Zhou and Qiu Shui were supposed to work together, WHY? WHY? I was waiting for those…
What- argh...so it was supposed to be a happy ending based on the novel - but the drama ending in a bad way instead - so frustrated. I was also hoping to see some actions between the 2 of them - working together - doing things together, etc. :(
Yes my heart aches for LCZ and Shirong. For Xiao Xueyu too. And for Tang Fang because how heartbroken she must…
I feel the same too for Tang Feng - she in the end lost her most treasured/dear partner in this final battle cause he used the Voidheart Codex = when gives him a lot of power to win the battle but at the same time, it will destroy him completely in the end too. I literally cried - only Tang Fang and his lucky bag dude realized that he's gone/passed away in their martial art world - while everyone was happy and singing at the same time.
In that world (martial) left - only the original 3 Shenzhou brothers + Tang Fang, the other 4 dudes that join later, lucky bag guy are left - alongside Warrior Wu, LSF + his partner/assistant, Prince Liang (thankfully he's real loyal and did not turn evil, luckily) are left. While all the others are not exactly the main character focus. Aside from the Emperor of Daixa.
Sadly, in the ultimate battle to battle the most evil one - ex-2nd Bro/his so-called senior in the real world of his aka "R" - many died under his control - those that did not deserve to die - died. Crazy Yan and his sister dies (Qiushui's adoptive older sister), Rong Er (wife of LCZ) and LCZ dies too (got set up - and killed by the crazy person locked in jail for a long time, but in actual fact - it was the evil "R" that had been poisoning him over time and the Emperor too). Qiushui's family literally all die - the truly didn't completely deserves to die - esp his parents + sister. his eldest brother (Yiren, whom for a long time we all hated because he was blind by everything until too late) and some of those who he cared about - esp the great masters who gave him their skills, etc.
Also we learn that VoidHeart Codex - there are 15 levels and it was via the Guqin - that gave him the power to defeat the evil "R" aka 2nd Bro in the end and also destroy Li Nan in real world too - he was supposed to go to jail because of betraying the country - but died - killed by Qiushui aka Xiao Ming Ming in the martial arts world. But using that will destroy his who inner body's meridians/powers at the same time - rendering eventual death afterwards. So, in both worlds too he also in the end died - the super duper last scene - we see him walking in white along a long pathway into the light - symbolizing that he has left both his real world and martial arts world -- I guess into heaven. Super sad - at least the did win the battle between Daixa and the Northern people - and we got to see them celebrating it all, with Qiushui seeing everyone happy until his death/passing away from everyone.
Sigh, honestly, I wished that Qiushui, LCZ, Qiushui's family (older adoptive sister and parents), original buddy at the beginning of the formation of the Sworn Shenzhou brothers and those whom he respects the most), and crazy Yan didn't have to all died in the story - so tragic.
It was a good drama/story - overall. Worth watching despite the sad ending to it all.
Omg -- after watching the upcoming trailers - looks like Tang Fang will be control by someone - I wonder who it will be?!? Is it crazy Yan or the evil brother - Kaiyan? I hope it's not Kaiyan - otherwise that will be very dangerous - she may be killed/manipulated by him to kill Quishui... *worried*
Looks like Crazy Yan need some healing too with the help from Qiushui?!? Or is Kaiyan faking to be him too?!?
Also, looks like LCZ and Qiushui has a heart to heart talk about who will be the one to lead the martial world?!?
Then it looks like may be Liu Sui Feng - is after Master Wu - is it really LSF doing or Kaiyan trying to steal and kill Master Wu - by pretending to be LSF?
As well, Song Ming Zhu is spying on LCZ, I wonder why?!?
As for Crazy Yan - I honestly want him to destroy Kaiyan with his ultimate powers with Qiushui at the same time - Kaiyan is the worst of the worst - murderer! Kills his parents, his older brother Yiren and his sect --- and continues to kill many sect leaders, steal power from others, etc. He's the worst of the worst -- and should be killed including Li Nan - aka "R" - completely heartless, selfish, ego-centered, jealous ASF, greedy all at the same time. His original self is long gone. He needs to be destroyed completely by Crazy Yan and Qiushui once and for all! No pitifulness at all. He doesn't deserve it at all. No way to get any redemption at all - cause he ruin it all by himself/brainwashed by the guy from the other world.
I really like the vibes between LCZ and XQS - seems like they kinda get a long - and willing to talk it out face-to-face.…
Hmm, I guess you can put it that way - LCZ - is more of a grey character for sure - He has his ways of dealings both good and bad side. But then again - given his background - the country he is serving for and from - obviously the current Emperor of Daixa doesn't like him at all - and wants to control him by constantly poisoning him - as well doesn't completely trust him either too.
Yet at the same time - LCZ gave the proper honor of Qiushui's parents though - even though he took his parents bodies away - he preserved them in a way that won't deteriorate or lose their original body form - intact and still in good shaped despite the fact that they are already dead. If it was someone else who took Qiushui's parents - it would've ended up in bad shape and unrecognizable.
As well, LCZ is not completely reckless too - in doing things - just those who are under him that are not trustworthy or reliable. I think the only reason why so many times he protect LSF - was because they knew each other for 15 yrs and help build up the Power Gang from scratch - where the rest were easily able to cause dissent and cheat from what the master LCZ wanted in the first place.
Can't believe the 2nd brother was the one who killed their parents out of jealousy! Unbelievably sad!
Then in the upcoming trailer - Yiren is going to fight Qiushui with the help of the evil side dude - like WTF. Are you even in the right mind -- selfish idiot, blind and dumb ASF - and as a result injured him in the process -- stupid brother! Loser - can't believe that out of jealousy too you go and hurt your brother - never believe in him and constantly hurt him! You definitely don't deserve to be his brother - nor does the 2nd brother too - both of them are jealous of Qiushui and are completely naive enough to let the evil people mess their brains -- to go hurt their own brother! Fail! Ultimate failure!
Then after Qiushui gets injured - suddenly crazy Yan shows up and continues to hurt Qiushui too and takes the "heart thingamagig" from him - calling it borrowing?!? For what?!? Argh -- another 2 frustrating episodes coming up! I want both of his brothers dead - tired of their idiotic lifestyles and ridiculous rampage of selfishness/patheticness/stupidity/ego-centered self! Both of them are definitely not fit to be leaders at all! 2nd brother also has connections with the Northern people too - basing on the papers he was reading at the dinner table before Qiushui showed up and Qiushui saw the symbols on it.
One thing that hasn't been shown is the mysterious "R" - who is it - still unknown - all guesses so far up till now still.
I don't feel like Prince Liang is evil - cause he showed care for LCZ at the palace - after LCZ was poisoned by the Emperor/King of Daixa - from the wine he drank. In my opinion, I don't think the Emperor is trustworthy at all - I feel he's evil too - since he can poison LCZ each time he comes back to the palace .
As for whoever is the security metal dude - I think he's not the real Zhu King -- cause I thought he was dead - the cliff fall and person at the bottom of the cliff that Qiushui saw with the other 4 dudes/servants under him. - fighting Qiushui in the preview episodes...I can't trust him either.
Totally agree - he's stupid, dumb ASF and a complete idiot who believes in rumors rather than the truth his brother…
I too, would've loved to see LCZ wife beat him up to pieces -- cause literally he is a complete weakling - compared to Qiushui - not even worth to be a leader - sorry not sorry. He's literally a piece of garbage/weak sauce.
Big bro is just ridiculous at this point he’s so obsessed with that manual the one that QS does not have that…
totally agree with you - Yiren is totally dumb ASF/jealous/loser/stupid/naive/idiot/pathetic person in the whole story. Not one moment does he ever believed in his own little brother. Stubborn and ridiculous at most - believes in crap lies/rumors rather than the truth his brother tells him! Actually want him dead too - well, he's going to make another ridiculous mistake too - working for the Zhu Sect -- another bad sect to be under -- the Zhu sect king/leader wants to use him to kill off someone or what we can "eliminate" someone in the upcoming episode to be released based on the trailers I have watched. Not good at all. Well, that'll ruin the Xiao sect some more - working for the Zhu sect is the worst choice ever.
Well, if he does do that -- Yiren is definitely not fit to be a leader of the Xiao sect anymore - he doesn't deserve it one bit -- he's completely incompetent to be a leader - makes tons of mistakes time and time again --- and blames others for it - esp his younger bro - Qiushui! Argh! Dude you (Yiren) never learn to be humble or be kind or trust the right people at all. Failure! Definitely you are the one who should be eliminated - tired of seeing you on-screen. Definitely no redemption arc for you - can't see the day of light for any redemption for you anymore --
Li Chenzhou to Liu Suifeng, Zhao Shirong and all members of power gang sect: introvert, spoke less stared more…
I really like the vibes between LCZ and XQS - seems like they kinda get a long - and willing to talk it out face-to-face. He wants to build an alliance b/w him and XQS because of the common enemy that they both have now. Clears up the misunderstandings, but willing to have their stand on their opinions on how the martial world is supposed to be. At the same time LCZ finds XQS is an interesting person that he wants to know more of too. While on the other hand -- XQS is more cautious of who he wants to make an alliance with and trust too. So, XQS is a bit weary of him still - even when LCZ has lived up to his promise of returning his parents body back to him in 3 days after the initial treasure hunt in the mountains - and using the treasure to help with the frontlines fight for Daxia - where LCZ is supposedly from - royalty of Daxia.
LCZ - prefers power over others - willing to resort to being mean to others at times, but still have the blunt honesty and truth over things he did do or not do - as the Power Gang Leader.
XQS - on-the-hand prefers to help others/be kind/has chivalry/honesty/care among all the sects.
LCZ between him (as the master/leader of Power Gang) and the rest of the members of Power Sect - many times he doesn't always talk to them face-to-face/directly. Only when he's angry or need to settle the conflicts between members he'll come out and give them a whipping or talk/lecture. But then again based on his real background - coming from a royal family - he does hold the sense of "royal presence power" type of personality over the others.
Hmm - I wished there's more details about where he's actually born - in some ways, I think he could have either been born in Guangdong or Guangzhou or Hong Kong - because a lot of time I hear him speak Cantonese in his dramas fluently/smoothly. Anyone has more details about him?!?

Plus I really wanna see QS and LCZ worked more together - I also read those parts got cut out of the drama too!
Definitely no redemption arc for you - can't see the day of light for any redemption for you anymore --
LCZ - prefers power over others - willing to resort to being mean to others at times, but still have the blunt honesty and truth over things he did do or not do - as the Power Gang Leader.
