This is MY honest opinion about Joy in life season 2 I feel like season 2 is getting to nowhere it is good it…
season 1 was a phenomenal act. this is a very different style. In season 1 we had new places, new master fighters, origin stories and an entire world built for us. Season two thus far has definitely focused on a very small aspect of all these elements and focused on a few characters. I'm with you in your sentiments. Hoping they can wow us in new ways for the 2nd half. But I am loving how intelligent the characters continue to be written.
Easily the best kdrama of all time and Iβve been watching this shit since 2002 oldboy. Great cast acting story.…
love that you loved this. I had a look at your ratings and you've rated quite a few things like CLOY, Hotel de Luna, Joy of Life, MLFTS, and Mr Queen 1/10 - is this just your account to change MDL ratings to favor the shows you liked or did you genuinely find those other series the worst things you've ever seen?
Really liked: 1. FL character - she is smart, kind and positive. (Tried to watch Hometown Cha Cha Cha several…
I really like your summary and agree with many things you said about the dramas pros and cons. If you left reviews for dramas I would read them as this would have been a great read before watching the drama for me!
I watched the full 34 eps on a Chinese site, and just realised that all the English subbed version has only 30…
Since I was looking to watch this series, I went and looked at the Chinese non-subbed 34 episodes (40 min each) and compared it to the HBO/SBS English subs 30 episode version which are 45+ minutes each). Some of that time is intro/outtro but from what I can tell at least some of the "missing" time is in fact, not missing, but rather within the 30 episodes.
I compared episode 34 in the Chinese version and it was 20 minutes behind episode 30 the subbed version in the story-line. Its likely the English-subbed version divides the story differently so the missing time is probably a lot less than the 4x40 min you indicated.
is there romance ( kiss scenes)?? please, i just watched The wolf ( i fell in love with Lin Qi she is great ππ€«β¨
One kiss scene iirc.. romance with Lin Qi is important to the ML (as he falls in love with her at first sight in the 3rd episode) but story line focuses on a lot of other things. As a romance lover myself, I was satisfied with the attention the drama gave to their relationship.
This was my first Chinese drama since 2023 and have not been able to watch any thing elseCan anyone recommend…
WRTW is my favourite drama, but I also very much enjoyed 'Joy of Life', 'Sword Snow Stride' and 'Legend of Fei' - maybe one of those will be to your liking too :)
P.S I see you've watched a lot of classic Kdramas. If you haven't seen 'Crash Landing on You', it definitely belongs to that list!
I don't understand the synopsis lolCan someone explain what this drama is actually about?Thank you!
Drama is about the ML getting revenge/justice for the death of his childhood friend. The FL is hired to stop him taking over a company, but later works together with him towards his plans. The FL has a superpower which makes all rich men fall for her, but the ML is constantly trying to resist it. It really is a cat-and-mouse romance with both of them getting annoyed at each other while secretly liking each other.
Been loving the drama but found the ML scolding the FL in ep 10 on both occasions regarding her trying her best for his deal with Joseph was a missed opportunity for the ML to say at least a few words that he appreciated her efforts.
decent review and fair assessment. i also rated it a 7.5. oh and for people reading your review, if you can modify, I'd suggest you change the FL's name from 'Shan Gen' to 'Shen Zhen' so people who haven't watched it know who you mean.

Oh and loving Sheng Si Lin more and more as the eps go by! He brings so much fun to the series!
