your point about the father wronging nmh and kga and that causing their psychopathy doesn't make sense, unless i have the timeline wrong. we know that they killed that ex-cop's wife five years ago. she was a patient at their clinic six months ago and already an ex-con by then? what the hospital did or didn't do to them isn't a cause of anything imo.

flower of evil is the main one (10/10 show, one of like five kdramas that's actually rewatchable)

the main cop being suspicious of ml in ep 8 only to switch up in first five minutes of ep 9 is frying me. i thought he would have handcuffed ml immediately after the murder (suicide?) but apparently his brain has finally gained wrinkles.

fl should have had escorts with her since the guy who kidnapped her is still running around free but the cops are useless and even if they offered she would have rejected since she has a girlboss "i'd win a fight against the world" mindset. irritating ass show.

i think the synopsis threw me off because it reads like a dark-ish politics focused drama with some romance on the side, but the show itself is like a ya rofan manhua. very absurd.

is it that i just pick bad dramas, or are there not many female-centric historical cdramas that are actually serious? i didn't think wu jinyan would be in such goofy dramas, like she's a serious actress to me?

i love the story and the acting of the main leads so far, but yan fuzhi's voice is genuinely so irritating. i thought this would be a serious-ish political drama, and the whole character is so out of place? and the ep 5 thing where they have a sex trafficker care that badly about children is ridiculous too

they're still not looking for noh manhui??? atp this is outright maliciousness, not even incompetence. it's getting irritating that they're being this stupid with no reason given so far as to why.

i agree the chairman is def involved but he's not really using his influence on the detectives from what we've seen in like a typical kdrama chairman way, he's been talking to them how a worried father would, so even if he wanted them to focus on taeju, the detectives should have done their jobs

it feels like every ep is 30 min because the first 15 and last 15 min of each ep is repeated from the last and next ep. i get recaps but come on

the detectives are killing me because even if you think that the husband did it, why would you just not investigate the other person at all? if they're actually accomplices, finding him would also link you to kang tae ju so what's this ocd level obsession with ktj

making a girl masc and then changing her to being "girly" through the power of love is a very tired misogynist trope. especially during the period which it's set in, when the reverse (girls who would choose to be masculine/queer being forced to be hyperfeminine) would have been much more common.

are they going to make bu shu lin fall in love with minister cui and turn her into a girly girl 🤢
