This one has all the possible rom com tropes in the history of tropes. And it is bearable because the showrunners didn't try to hide them. Considering the situation, the hug was nothing too bad. There was no cheating, whether emotional or otherwise because of the connection that they shared, the circumstance that they were in (though she was almost on the brink of it, emotionally), and yea it did upset the husband, it would upset any rational human being.. but he opted for divorce for another reason, and yes it did partially brought her back to her senses. He married her knowing full well how strong her bond with Jiang Cheng was, and the pain that she carried, and in the end, he succeeded getting her all to himself. She needed closure and she got it. All is well that ends well.

Sticked ? Brother, she was with him for a short while after the return and even then, never crossed the line. They grew up together like family, were in a long, loooong term relationship which ended in a bad way, and then he showed up again, and when she knew what was the real reason for the breakup, all those feelings and regrets hit her like whiplash. And yet when the ex asked to get back together, she firmly declined. And he backed off like a gentleman too. No one was the bad guy here, they were victims of their circumstances and the choices that they made.

I dont think we watched the same drama at all. Both ML and FL are flawed people driven by their circumstances. One of the good mature realistic dramas to come out of China.

His large stature would translate well as a warrior and military commander. He isn't the best actor out there ofc but he does the physical roles quite well. Doberman !
