Adding to Sandrusca, for real dynamics and great acting I liked “the story of MingLan” and “Marvelous Women”.
hhhh FINALLLLLY there is a day where Im seeing someone recommending 'Marvelous Women' other than myself TT That serie is way too underrated IF one likes costume/historical with slice of life& romance dramas
I have so many complaints I wont go in details.... I just hope and pray that one day I can watch my petite doll Huang Ri Ying & charming fox spirit like Cheng Lei as lead couple in another costume drama in future. Their unique characters & their chemistry was something worthy in this whole mess of a drama.Its a shame they didnt even get enough screen instead we watched many useless side of side characters with not blended well plots for whole thing.
I was looking forwards to this for so long that I forgot I was looking forward to it when I saw news of airing this month... Story sounds kinda similar & a lil bit more serious version of 'The Moon Brightens For You' which is my another fave. I wonder if reading novel first would be a good or bad decision now that drama is coming very soon wahhh...
After 2 very awkward and ruined novel-to-drama remakes from one of my fave novelist Zhu Yi I literally have zero expectations from this one's script. BUT leads are from my faves and Im so hopeful for this pairing scenes...I trust their acting & I quite like the temperament/chemistry from bts vids already.
Now that Im watching Love of the Divine Tree I confirm my feeling how Deng Wei looks like how I imagined Chang Yuan while reading this novel years ago. All those costumes & wigs on DW while he is in ShiFu mode its literally him.The way he moves slowly with little words and quite introverted but when serious stuff happened he doesnt mind showing his real feelings or face whenever its about lead girl. Its almost as if Im watching Chang Yuan instead of his org character there. IF they manage to cast Li YiTong I really would love to see them as leads for this novel (even tho Im not hopeful of the remake they always suck with this author's novels.) They really would look like the pairing in my mind both looks & their temperaments fits for these characters and their energy as a couple.

When an actress I like cast with younger actors I like, I care a lot more about details. . Love their energy I was kinda worried at first hearing of casting like '?! huh' but then after seeing updates I went into interesting seeing this pairing mood!

hiiiii :'') its quite hard to came by people liking this drama I dont get it! I cant help but rewatch their scenes at times it just warms my heart. The whole progress of their relationship was so pure & heartwarming for me. It was a lot similar to old Jdorama Zettai Kareshi in a way which makes me adore it more. (that was my second Jdorama in my teenage years still cant get over it on 30s..)
Yeah she is like a doll and I love watching her esp. in costume dramas BUT in recent dramas I was quite unhappy with make up teams and even styling/wigs :)
I confess when I heard #JingTian & #ZhangWanyi as cp I felt a little doubtful but trailer actually made me feel interested in this pairing's energy on screen! Thankful for makeup &styling team for JingTian's part😚She looks a lot better than the last dramas she was in..
oh boy...nothing against lead actor BUT since LYT is one of my faves and I LOVE her in costume dramas Im very disappointed with casting choice. And after that feeling I even end up seeing Yang Shi Ze in casting not as secondary but third... is this for real. billing and strong background matters in Cent sucks big time.
EP16.... WE VE 8 OCEAN ND ITS MY TEARS ALONGSIDE MY COUPLE...THE REUNION SCENE!! I swear writing and producers wasting this pairing's story and chemistry so bad IS THIS FOR REALLLL ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE FEELING THIS SAD FOR A PAIRING :C
edit: its ep 20 and the way lead guy still cant read room or people or the subject matter INSTEAD talking arrogantly as if he knows how to world turns... he makes me sick more than villain characters. He dares to judge anyone and any situation before from seeing another perspective OR thinking that he might be wrong... gee what a lead guy... First half of this serie was 10 out of 10 but lead guy character is making me take down the note a lot worse than usual dramas.
Last thing I know is listening to Sa Ding Ding's soundtrack for another serie then I end up missing listening to her soundtrack for this drama..After listening this OST by SDD & Liu Yuning I end up rewatching again..... Esp the first half of this drama is really worthy of many rewatch.
