I have seen so many HE Cnovels ending as BE or OE in drama remakes.I wonder if we can see BE to HE this time around.
Costumes on ZSX looks awesome I hope writing will do fair to the story & acting.

When I read comments like yours in this story I feel bad because I agree and because this was one of my first & fave Cnovels I read! Sang Zhi was definitely better written in novel and I dont know how she ends up like most cdrama heroines in the drama...
I know its just fiction but I want to scream org novel SZ deserved better we also deserved better writing!

Since we started talking with Chen Zheyuan you ve gotta see his prevıous serie ''Our Secret''. One of the most pure and well written youth Cdrama imo. His chemistry was so natural and felt like they really grow up from childhood to adulthood together<3

When its this subject one of the best Cactor should be ''Jeremy Tsui'. Even tho I cant say much good words for his script choices he always does those lingering eyes OR the tearful angry eyes at his partners which breaks my heart I JUST LOVE IT! You should see it yourself. I will recommend; The Legend of Dugu(2018) & Legend of the Phoenix (2019). These two are my faves of his dramas because of the chemistry and script.

There is 'Zhang Xin Cheng'. Whatever role he playing he always have amazing gaze and mimics.He do the longing look so well. His drama 'Go Ahead' is a worthy to watch and rewatch even recommend<3

Recently I finished Longest Promise and the second lead guy 'Alen Fang' character's gazes almost killed me while binge watching TT. Writer didnt do fair in second half of drama but still its worth a watch imo.

There is 'Ou Hao' He looks very sharp and manly handsome in his profile
I know but believe me when his character is sad or in love or he is missing/looking at the love of his life in a drama I feel like he is for real! I really love the mature-ish slow slice of life romance drama he played with Song Qian: Love Under the Moon.

'Deng Kai' ! Underrated actor wasting as second lead roles... Recent drama 'Butterflied Lover ' has a secondary couple and you should see what kınd of gazes he can do! Its a shame their couple wasnt the lead Im still under effect of their story :')

There are many fans who loves and writes Wu Lei's name but I was only impressed with his acting & chemistry whenI watched modern drama 'Nothing But you' with Zhou Yutong.Still not over this pairing its so hard to find such a thing in modern Cdramas!

I want to add 'Xu Kai Cheng' in this list BUT not in every serie he is that good in acting.YET his costume serie with Zhao Lusi ''A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College' is one of my faves because of lead couple's writing & their chemistry was amazing. I was surprised how much I liked his acting there and the chemıstry wıth her..

There is a newbie actor I found in last months but he only does shorter series for now I think? His name is 'Wang Zu Yi' very emotional eyes and mimics. Hope we can see him longer and as lead especially ın costume series.

Yeah read some translated vids on twitter but Im waiting for second season to finish air before start watching :)

I would recommendyou to read the novel before. Its very short and worth reading. You wont feel that weird feeling when lead couple has a scene in book. Because in drama even when she was a child/younger they put slow motion, close up angles & background musıc as if its already a romantic scene... I was only able to overcome the feeling & cont. watching because I knew the real story also I liked both casting...

They soften her character in drama too much for my liking....

Deng Wei & Deng Kai in costume drama together!? styling looks so good from photos BUT I just saw screen writer is Liu Fang... well...

This was one of a kind and Im still not tired of rewatching! Especially in cold weather I like to sit cozy with blanket, warm drink and enjoy rewatching it *-*

I know I liked him since his side role:Cao Pi, in Secret of Three Kingdoms (2018). I still remember how me and some fans were hoping for leads in costume series for him after that character! He broke our hearts so bad with his villain progress near the end related to his crush in serie (Empress) T^T

Chang Yuan was not like other imposing Dragon characters in novel.I mean he never really acts like a lead 'lead' He only got to act like a boss or angry for real whenever his lady was in distress or sad :'')
He was one of the cutest devoted male lead written by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang in my opinion. Its usual for her to write girls as leads more than their partners..
Tan JianCi's whole aura /vibe as a person not enough for me ;_; I dont know maybe I put too much hope on another novel to drama production...

Last melon accounts share Li Yitong with Tan Jianci! I like him a lot but seriously cant even imagine him for/with this character T^T... (talkıng for only novel they surely will change him a lot in script)

Couldnt feel her character or the way actress acted her character, couldnt feel any chemistry or vibe between leads after all these I cant even feel any interest to cont watching this story it felts so bland... after checkıng ep7 I simply gave up on it to give chance to other series in my list instead.

The pairing made me watch Long Ballad finally pair up officially for another COSTUME drama<3 Never thought I was this lucky this is such a rare moment for me x'D lol having so many ships that I want to see in costume serie!
I got my wish 2 times in same year already. One is this drama the other one is Bai Lu with Ao Ruipeng in Chasing moon<3
