LMAO! Many female characters in C-dramas can't fend for themselves but some of you make no complaints about it…
Looks like female lead is as strong as the female lead in ''Love in Between'' while lead guy is good as scheming(?) just like lead guy there<3 I hope he is as good as the lead guy in LIB with his planning and thinking! I love this kınd of pairing the most *-* so hard to come by...
ahhhhh reading summary sends me back in time where Harlequin and white series were popular ;A; IF writing is decent and couple has the chemistry this would be lovely but I will lower my expectations just in case xD....
I was holding back from this for a long time because of comments but I always remember it because both lead casting are from my faves! (plus its a costume serie even better<3 )
Im 10 episodes in already binged whole day lying around. Laughed many times, love the chemistry and the way they edit funny background musics at times. Lovable wigs and very pretty costumes. I especially love the way lead guy is older and suppose to be serıous teacher BUT he doesnt hold back going petty and childish along our crazy unique lead girl XD Their playful banter and bickering is really interesting dynamic for me as costume serie! While this thing going on between them, somethıng serıous happens and they dont hold back from leaning on each other and overcome hardships like close friends. I just love this detail. Its hard to come by in dramas let alone costume series... My only regret is that there isnt enough scenes with related to her FATHER!. He is one of my fave veteran actors and his character here is just precıous xD... its a shame ...
edit: oh boy I just passed through 14-15ep THEIR CHEMISTRY IS LOVELY AS CASTING & CHARACTER'S DYNAMIC AS A COUPLE IS PRECIOUS<3

I started without any expectations yet I still end up being disappointed in this. First 15-20eps were quite interesting and fun, I loved the dynamic between couples even though I didnt like the way lead guy handle consort scheming matters. It start to lose the tone froml 21-25eps, it got even worse after that... I finished the story only because I wanted to close the story in my head for these 2 leads. When i drop a serie i liked at first i end up remembering them after a while so ...
ps: This lead girl character made me realize how many and fast mimics Peng Xiao Ran can have! I would love to watch her in another light hearted costume serie.
I try to watch this every year and its that time again... Wish me luck xD... edit: oh my one of the worst written female lead in Cdrama history... edit 2: Never seen more awkwardly written also filmed costume serıe than this one..
RoaTF’s twin storyline is to get this drama past the censorship otherwise I doubt they would have created it…
You have point but she also has a point... For me I just enjoy the story with great costumes & filming sets PLUS watching fave actress& actors with sımılar storıes. With this story since they dont like to use soul chance/time travel in series they changed into 'twin' instead. There wasnt any twin in the novel... The way they edited first episode's the soul change part was exact same with most Cnovels. First character ends up falling of cliff, falling in water or just dying with hardships.Then BOOM! Same body wakes up in bed, doesnt remember who she was, doesnt remembr how she can create cool stuff or cook food BUT she does it anyway xD
I was going to give this a 9 in first half but then secondhalf happened. Second half was way too much draggy political stuff with one of the most despicable emperors i have seen in these serıes! I didnt drop because I was already binge watching and really loved lead couple :') casting choice was so good also their chemistry was lovable<3 The relatıonshıp between lead girl and Empress was also one of the reason i didnt drop this. But really its a shame all second half of serıe got wasted just like that...
Who is her company/agent?! Why not give her more costume serie works?! :c She is gorgeous in 'Legend of Phoenix' and her acting & mimics are awesome! Not stiff at all like some more famous actresses out there.
After years of dropping this many times i finally finished it (still skipped some parts in latter episodes with side characters)!! I have been watching asian dramas since i was teenager now Im 30+ and Never seen a drama made me pause BECAUSE OF SECONDHAND EMBARRASSMENT. The writing of this story especıally female lead girl was ''sick'' and no I dont regret for saying this.. I also tried novel many tımes but couldnt finish it it made me so uncomfortable the way she behaved. I was able to watch drama because of Yang Zhi & Li Xian were the pair for leads. Leave alone the problem of female character's writing story also doesnt have much to talk about... I dont get how this get so much high points from younger generation... yes its only a fiction but also shows how many females around world mostly okay with lead girl being that way ;_; ..
Okay Im in this ship after seeing this photo! Im glad he has that aura because I cant really enjoy her dramas when her partners doesnt have chemıstry wıth her ;A; AND I need a new YZ serie so...
