There are so many interesting parts to this drama, (despite the ending), but the best part is the acting and beauty of the actors, as well as the entire aesthetics of the drama, and the opening music and all the others are wonderful.

So, the beautiful lie is a drama that betrays the viewer. But ironically it matches the title of the drama (beautiful lie). But a lie is never beautiful. (I haven't watched ABL, but....that's one perspective of what I think the writers did there.)

The main couple use their own original voices in the drama. There is even a video of Wu Jin Yan doing her original voice acting. They practically re-interpret the character in their own voice acting.

Yue Qin developed a platonic love for Mei Lin.) And Mei Lin, in the drama, later on, will be shocked at what he becomes.
