I think the writers kept this plot (but modified it). In the book Jing He marries Mei Lin to the eunuch, but he still gets jealous. (Then I think another photo showing Jing He dressed in a white robe, weak and sickly looking in agony leaning against a wall (is him watching her marry Yue Qin).
