Honestly it is not the worse. The Glory and Feud werev far worse in my opinion.
I want to watch "The Double" because many people genuinely enjoy this drama, but I prefer more genuine feelings (even if the drama has flaws). Let's see if "The Double" can convey that to me. Cat and mouse, charm, all that, but what about genuine love? Can they convey it to me? Because "The Princess Gambit," for all its flaws, did. And their desire for revenge on their enemies was completely convincing and coherently explains their coldness (and "just" revenge in a drama was the best I've ever seen). Knowing that the writer of the first half returned for the final episodes of the drama.
And yes, it's worth watching. But a warning: after episode 19, the drama's atmosphere changes a bit, and some were upset by this, but the drama is interesting, with many positive aspects. I watched the last seven episodes before the finale, and they were wonderful. I'll still watch the final one.
Despite the flaws: there are many positives in this drama that cannot be ignored. (I see with other dramas, people…
I understand some people's criticisms (and even understand why they're so upset, as it's about the narrative unity), but others don't. They often come here to criticize for the sake of criticizing. (Others explain the criticisms, and screenwriters could come here and absorb these tips to the people can better appreciate their dramas.). (It's best to watch for ourselves, always.) ✨✨✨✨✨ PS: But a drama can have flaws and still have qualities and be watchable. This is the case with this drama. Some seem to want to make this drama seem like the worst work they've ever seen (wanting to make some people give up without even starting to watch the drama).
I am really surprised at the high rating of this drama. Absolutely one of the worst writings I have seen. No logic…
Despite the flaws: there are many positives in this drama that cannot be ignored. (I see with other dramas, people are less harsh, even though there are the same or many more problems than in this drama. No, it's not just because of the actor, (there are strengths and weaknesses in this drama). And perhaps the strengths outweigh the weaknesses. PS: I still need to watch the final episode, but so far the last seven episodes have been phenomenal. So, I think the final one will also have that quality.
I'm surprised that some people want to be so drastic with this drama, while with other dramas I don't see the same attitude. Constructive criticism is helpful, but destructive criticism is not.
I didn't understand this message I just received: Mainly in this part (official sources) of photos. This is the first time I've heard this: official photo sources??? If it's only official sources that are posted here for every drama (there will be almost no photos at all, because the "official photos" are very few and often uninteresting (which wouldn't attract viewership to the drama). I can agree with the other points, but this point?????? ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ ________________________________________________________________________________ Hello!
I'd like to ask you to make sure that the photos you upload to galleries are from official sources and directly related to the title. Unofficial pictures, user-taken screenshots, unrelated magazine-shoots or fan-taken pictures from the set are not allowed. You should also make sure you're not uploading duplicates; you've uploaded a lot of those. I have needed to delete over a 1000 photos from you by now, and the count keeps increasing. Please try and upload only relevant photo material.

A renowned screenwriter (that's great to know). A drama can be good despite (not) having perfect internal unity (but it's better to preserve this unity of the script), the viewers will be better immersed in the plot and complain less.😊😊
Episode 35 (penultimate): For love At the end of the episode, some tears fell from my eyes. Again, this ? A poison with no cure? I know that Shen Zai Ye chose to be the guinea pig for poison (as if to say: either we will be saved together, or we will die together?, as a couple. But.... that he used an animal as a guinea pig, better than using a human being (now he will have to fight in the next episode, and he may become weak). JTH's master is another with a heroic personality, in addition to being under the poison as well, he let himself be carried away by Empress Lv to save his subordinates, as well as protected the edict to be delivered to the rightful heir to the throne: JTH's brother. (The scene in which Shen Zai Ye takes the poison and feels remorse for the pain JTH felt in the past, showing the scenes and his thoughts was striking and beautiful. (It's the drama showing this harmony between them), but I wonder (Why did it have to be this way ???). They at the table touching each other's hands. (I liked to see this. Every sweet interaction between them is very good to see. I just wish there were more). Empress Lv is being a monster really in these last few episodes. (I think the screenwriter really came back), in addition to the feelings being more plausible between the main couple, there is the suspense part, traps that test the brain (in the dungeon where the edict was), which JTH was tested by her master to find out if she was still a person of integrity (and then he delivers the real edict). And the woman that JTH saved by giving up the "false edict" turned out to be the creator of the poison (who said: I hate to owe a favor, I'll test some cure), and in that SZY offered to be the guinea pig (at the end of the episode, JTH is in hiding and witnesses SZY's suffering when taking the countervenom (the test antiduct), she suffers with him, at that moment, when she sees through the curtains the agony he is feeling, she cries (and says: Empress Lv, you will pay for all the suffering you are putting us through"). PS: Despite the regrets, this episode is still a great episode. All the heroes have weight in him, and the love between Shen Zai Ye and Jiang Tao Hua is subtle (and even desperate), but this love hangs in the air. And I liked that (better than the distance between them), although this is the episode that precedes the last episode. PS: The moment when Shen Zai Ye arrives with his gypsy outfit and his braided hair and runs to a JTH who also runs into him (I loved this sweetness between them) and loved that the other man in the room (the master) saw them together, that there is something, a strong bond of love between SZY and JTH. (but in a way it's like two heroes in the same room), in front of the woman they both have affection for. There was no love triangle in this drama, but here (it's just a very subtle and distant sign of something similar).
I've already looked for the novel everywhere (I don't think it exists and it's also not mentioned anywhere that it's inspired or based on any novel). I think it's probably an original script, and I read that the writers admire the script of the drama (true detective), which I've never watched.
They advertise this style of drama just like they did for "Unshakable Faith," another investigative drama starring Liu Xue Yi and Peng Xiaoran (with a ml role, with not many scenes), but which was a huge hit in China, with high ratings. When they decided to broadcast it (it was unexpected, without anyone expecting it, and without an official website), they resolved everything in a single minute. I think it might be the same with "Jagged Peaks."

Welcome! 😊✨ Welcome! (Plus another strong ml gray character in "Against the current", an S+ drama that LXY together with Tan Song Yun are filming now. (I think this drama, they will not harm the plot potential).
I don't know if it will be this year, as the advertising was so timid. I think if it were still in 2025, even this poster would have been updated by now.
