the way i understood things was, chaewoon asked the ex president if he was the one who orchestrated the whole hacking thing so that chaewoon could get hired into BF, and also if he was the one who got shin gu murderered. but the ex president denied this i think, so chaewoon replied someone else must've been behind it, someone who doesn't value human life. the next scene shows the current president so they were implying the current president is behind it all. it also cleared up that the ex-president and current one both have different motives in mind. i hope this made sense :")
