I wish Ma Shi Yao was offered to be part of good quality production like The Newlywed series (my favourite is Wang Chen Peng x Lin Zi Xuan or He has seven parts of his domain (3 versions at the moment: MLs are Zhang Bei Xi, Cao Tian Kai, Charon). MSY's talent wasted in dramas with not-good-actresses.

Hhhhmmm I might be wrong because I watched this drama like 500 vertical dramas ago (I watched 600+ just last year alone). Wang Yi Ran did get a nice arc and for me, his ML has the best romantic moments with FL
