One of the best cdrama I've ever watched!

I first saw clips of this drama on TikTok and started watching mainly for the enemies to lovers relationship of the main leads but I quickly discovered that this drama is a whole package. It is the perfect mix of romance, revenge, thrill, comedy, angst, fluff, found family. I found myself always looking forward to the next episode and there was not one part of the show where I was ever bored at all, the pacing of the show was perfect.

The story actually starts in the present and then flashbacks to the past where we see how the main leads got to this point and I think that was a very good attention grabber because it makes you wonder what happened that lead them to this point and keeps you interested. One of the main focus of the drama is computer programming where we often see the leads coding and creating programs and this focus on computer programming was new as I had not seen in this any other drama so it seemed fresh. The characters in the show felt real, where I could understand why they were feeling that type of way, they weren't shown to be extraordinarily tough and strong, they were shown to be sensitive, to holding on to all they had, they were human they had that fighting spirit all of us have during our youth and it felt real and relatable cause we got to see their sensitive and vulnerable sides as well.

Zhu Yun (Zhang Jing Yi) was a character that really had so many layers at first she really did seem like a princess, not having any worries and getting what she wants but then we see how in reality she was controlled by her mom basically being forced to follow the decisions her mom makes for her. She is very passionate when she decides she wants to do something and very caring and understanding of the people she loves. Zhang Jing Yi did a really good job portraying Zhu Yun she felt very natural in that role like she truly was the character of Zhu Yun.

Li Xun (Chen Fei Yu) on the other hand is shown to be a arrogant, cold, rude and selfish male lead who believes that everyone is inferior to him in computer programming. However, that's really not the case he really is just a practical guy who because of his knowledge know's what's better in the field of computer programming. Over the course of the drama we see his character develop and we see him really start to care about the people around him. He starts to show remorse and learned to be apologetic for the things he has done. Though his habit of keeping his feelings to himself never really changes it is something that is relatable to all of us where we tend to keep our feelings to ourselves in order to not burden the people around us. His behaviour towards Zhu Yun was super fun and sweet to watch you can tell that even though he pretended like he didn't like her deep down he always cared about her from day one. Chen Fei Yu did an amazing job as Li Xun where a lot of the acting was done by his eyes and that was really mesmerizing.

Gao Jian Hong (Zhao Zhi Wei) was a character that to be very honest was unlikable from the beginning. He is portrayed to be super competitive and insecure of Li Xun. He always seemed fake and I was always surprised by how he and li xun always made up but I honestly could tell he was not someone to be trusted and as much as my heart loved the idea of the 'eternal trio' it just wouldn't work out. Zhao Zhi Wei did an amazing job playing the role of Gao Jian Hong he really made us hate the character and honestly you have to watch the show to know what im saying.

Honourable mention to Ren Di (Jenny Zhang) she is the friend we all need, she was not a part of the main storyline per say but she was always there for the main leads and Jenny Zhang's acting as Ren di seemed so natural and fantastic

Special Shoutout to the My flying heart gang cause they were so much fun to watch and the way they accepted li xun and Zhu yun and they all slowly became a big family had my heart. All the scenes with the squad always left me in laughter and genuinely enjoyed their presence and friendship

However, the thing that really sold the drama for me was the acting and the chemistry of the leads. From the very first episode it was fun to see their love-hate relationship, their banter and bickering and their subtle care towards each other as they got closer. They were always there to support each other no matter what and their relationship flowed so naturally, it was never awkward and though we do not get to see the beginning of their official relationship, even three years later their bond remained the same their fun banter included. The chemistry seemed so natural that at times you'd think that they are a real couple so the acting from both their parts was incredible!

The music is something that came as a surprise for me, I did not expect it to be so good tbh I don't like a lot of the cdrama ost nor do I pay much attention to them. But in this drama the music was used so well in the right scenes and its so catchy that it had been stuck in my head for days. The cinematography was absolutely beautiful, the settings are so beautiful specially the ones where they got together.

My only complaint from this show is that they cut li xun's hair, I wish it came back he looked so good with his longer hair

Overall a 10/10 drama with the perfect balance of romance, fluff, angst, comedy, revenge, computer programming, found family, friendship.

A simple fluffy light hearted watch!

Originally, I wasn't planning to watch this drama because of the age gap aspect because personally I am not a big fan of age gap dramas. However, I came across lots of clips of the drama on instagram and tiktok, and finally I decided to watch this drama. I had watched love is sweet before this and absolutely loved it, and why women love and love is sweet are very similar in many aspects and so if you liked love is sweet you'll love this one.

The plot wasn't really anything extraordinary, it was a simple story about the office workers and a romance between a younger man and older woman. This show according to me actually did the age gap right, the male lead was childish and cute while the female lead was mature and serious but it didn't feel awkward in any way. She became childish when she was around him and he became mature when he was around her and I found that very sweet that they could show other sides of them to each other. There was a love triangle, or square (idk at one point I lost track) and I found that very draggy/boring and in the beginning the second female lead really got on my nerves because of the way she acted. After she evolved near the end, I did start liking her a bit but before that I would actually get annoyed and skip most scenes with her . (okay ngl I was actually happy that she ended up with the second male lead though). I actually really enjoyed that they we got to see a little bit of all the secondary character's lives, I found that refreshing during when the show would slow it's pace.

The acting wasn't the very best, it was okay considering the male lead is an idol and doesn't have much experience I thought he did okay. The chemistry between the leads was actually amazing, there were sparks everywhere whether they were playful around each other or being all romantic with each other or even fighting the sparks were always there. I actually really loved the ost of the drama, I though they were really catchy songs and were used properly in each scene. I probably would rewatch it when I want to watch a light-hearted drama, but I found it slightly slow in it's pace to actually rewatch from beginning to end

Overall, a very cute fluffy watch that I enjoyed watching and would probably rewatch soon. If you like cute office romances, that make you smile throughout this one is for you!

A must watch youth/school drama!!!!

Warning: this review is mostly me rambling , getting sidetracked and it will be all over the place so I apologize in advance :')

I originally found this drama cause of Chen He Yi, I first saw him in Make My Heart Smile as Mu Ze and though he was a supporting character he immediately caught my eye (even more then the main lead). At first glance the story felt somewhat basic with the cliche trope of childhood friends reuniting and that's the reason I put off watching this drama for a long time. But now that I have watched it I realized that sometimes the most basic stories create some of the most beautiful drama's . I would say the first thing that I noticed was the visuals of the show, the drama being based on a seaside town had a very blueish, golden type of vibe and it was very aesthetically pleasing. The next thing was the acting, the acting is done so well that even when the female lead was being quirky or goofy I didn't find her cringe at all which I think is amazing because I find in drama's when female leads try to be quirky they end up just being cringy. And of course the male lead I loved him in make my heart smile and I loved him here, he is such a good actor I've watched him play two completely opposite characters and absolutely nail both of them. I also loved the fact that they didn't dramatize the friendships , they seemed very real in the way that when the male lead was leaving they didn't cry or do any dramatic gestures it seemed simple and realistic. Another thing that was well done was the romance part, where in the entire series we really only get a hug from the main leads and that's also in the end, there was no accidental touches, or fl falling on ml nothing like that it was simple and sweet where you can see their love through their actions and it suited the entire vibe of the show. I also really liked the character redemption arc of ni xiao wan, it wasn't something that happened immediately where she realized her mistake, it happened gradually where a lot of factors contributed to it and I think that was really well done as it didn't feel forced or rushed. My favourite character throughout the series was wang yi ming, he was goofy and never failed to make me laugh when he was on screen, his character was so pure you couldn't help but love him. And of course the relationship between the second leads was so so cute I was rooting for them throughout the entire story. However, somewhere I do believe that the drama was slightly slow paced and found myself skipping through some scenes which does affect the rewatch value of the show. but Overall I would 100% recommend it even if you don't like youth or high school dramas I recommend you to watch this one you won't regret it for sure! :)

If you love school, youth, slice of life dramas you will absolutely love this one!!!!

I started this drama because I had nothing else to watch and looking at the plot it was totally my type of drama. I didn't really have any expectations heading into this drama cause I had never heard of it before. But when I tell you this drama was absolutely AMAZING!! It didn't only focus on friendships or romance but also focused on other relationships such as families, or relations within all the families living in that society. It had a very youthful feel and managed to check all the boxes for a slice of life drama. It didn't have a big conflict, yet every episode had a different yet realistic issue that the group had to deal with. The romance is prominent during the first half of the show but still there's a spark between the leads that is obvious. This show is super super close to my heart and is one of the most underrated dramas out there and I think it needs way more recognition then it gets. Also a big shoutout to the entire cast for portraying their respective characters so so beautifully. The music doesn't play a huge part in the show but it is still amazing corresponds to each scene beautifully. I laughed, I cried, I fawned over the ml and fl and their cute moments. This show made me feel all the emotions and I love it so much and is forever my comfort show and I still rewatch it sometimes when I'm upset and want to laugh. If you're someone who likes slice of life dramas I highly recommend this show and I guarantee you'll love it!! So what are you waiting for, GO WATCH LOVELY US!!!

Going into this drama, I really had no expectations at all, although I had watched Falling into your smile previously and had heard that the two dramas are pretty similar I didn't know what to expect going into this drama but all I can say is that it did not disappoint.

I absolutely admired the lead couple together and individually, they both had such strong personalities but even when they were together they did not overshadow each other. I loved the fact that Qiu Ying (played by Wang Zixuan) wasn't afraid to pursue her dream, when she first started she knew nothing about the e-sports industry but as she learned more about it, she found her true calling in being a commentator for e-sports. I loved the fact that she fought for her dream, even though she was shot down and had to face unfair circumstances she fought for her dream and that's what mattered. I also absolutely adored Ji Xiangkong (played by Wang Yibo) for his selflessness, he always put his team before himself even if he didn't know them as well (VNG). He stole my heart when he sold his motorcycle to get Lin Yixuan in the team . His passion for the game and his passion to win was awesome to watch that though he faced so many setbacks he never gave up and he just rose stronger to pursue his dream. Though I was a little confused on what the heck was going on with the whole Mi Ya thing but let's not get into that right now.

I find it so adorable that the main couple not only do they grow together as a couple, but also individually in their own careers and they support each throughout. I loved how they made that promise of rising to the top of the world together and they were able to accomplish that, that one scene of them hugging at the "top of the world" somehow that made it all worth it.

I LOVED all the side characters, I didn't skip any scenes with the side characters but my favourite definitely have to be Lin Yixuan and Pei Xi. Lin Yixuan every time he was on the screen you were guaranteed a laugh however he was also more then just a comic relief, his loyalty towards JXK even after he left the team was commendable he was ready to fight with the world for JXK and that honestly melted me. I loved seeing his friendship with JXK and his relationship with Lu Yi Yi was equally adorable. Pei Xi was a character that I felt had a lot of depth, he had a lot of layers which at the first glance you might not be able to see. When we first see him we perceive him to be arrogant because of him lacking teamwork and wanting to play solo. But that is not the case sometimes you just have to dig deeper in order to find the real cause and same was the case with PX. I was actually really happy that he wasn't the typical second lead who falls in love with the fl and gets heartbroken. He instead was busy fanboying over the male lead and their duo was so much fun to watch. PX was willing to join phenix even if It was just as training partner, he just wanted to be around JXK and learn from him similarly JXK knew what PX need to get out of his shell and learn teamwork and I think their duo worked fabulously.

Also can we just take a moment to appreciate the entire pioneer's team, I genuinely found their friendship so cute and I love how they would just come on stage after every game to celebrate it felt like they were all one big family and that made my heart all fuzzy! Another thing that was done very nicely was the "villains" of the story, there wasn't one specific villain who was plotting and planning just against our leads. There were multiple people who became obstacles in the path of the lead characters and that made it more realistic and easy to believe. And I don't think the so called villains were truly evil it's more about what kind of choices you make. The acting honestly wasn't too bad could have been better but it wasn't like terrible that you can't watch it.

If you are someone like me who enjoys those heartwarming moments where everyone comes together to fight against a common enemy and you see them sort of become a family. This show is full of those moments specially in the last stretch, as someone who absolutely loves those moments I would definitely recommend watching this show even just for those little moments!

Overall, I really did enjoy the show specially the last stretch of the show and my favourite part that I will definitely be rewatching in the future :)
