The main couple is so sweet and awkward and adorable. I love their interactions so much. I also love that each has a demanding job that they’re competent at, and that we get to see the work they put in to steal time together.

I was hoping this would be like minglan where we also see the couple grow as a couple and not just to the point they fall in love. On hold for now I guess.

This is a major spoiler so read with caution. The big mystery right now is who killed FL’s mom. And I don’t think it was third concubine so there is other villainy and palace harem politics afoot. So far I love how they portray FL as smart but not petty, but willing to stand up for herself. And she agrees to marry ML because she wants to find her mothers killer
