This is remarkably well produced/directed/acted/shot/edited, all of it. Music's great too. Top notch. I haven't liked an OffGun show since Theory of Love, so this is a nice surprise. I'm not a shipper. I wonder about Gun's longevity as he ages. Even when he's 57, he will look as though he's 16, and that's not a plus. As impressive a trick as it may be, there's a lot more to acting than crying on cue. Gun doesn't always exactly feel like the same character; he seems like the same character playing a different role. I always get the same adolescent/pouty/slouchy vibe from him. Off won't have that problem, at least based on this one episode. He has matured in stature and presence, both. Speaking of Off, nice bod. Love that lean but strong look.
Isn't it time we let go of the "BL" label for shows like this? It's a gay-themed drama, and not a boy in sight...well, except for Gun, of course.
I hesitate to exhibit my cluelessness, but what is the flip tabled plot twist that blew you away? I thought I…
Oh, yes, I got that. I guess I took those scenes as Kano having a huge revelation of sorts, and I was along for the ride, but didn't think of it as a classic "plot twist," at least not the way I think of them. Either way, I liked the way that revelation was handled; it was intriguing. Like I said, I was along for the ride. Deep down, I think I was thinking all along that somehow we would get back to Ogami 1.
To me, a plot twist would be like if Kano 1 came around the corner at the office in Parallel World 2, and bumped into Kano 2, who was still existing somehow in the same world. :O
He suddenly became a good guy and now he's fatally boring ๐ ๐ ๐ They really should have committed. Wow.Perhaps…
hahaha...I know what you mean. I am definitely toxic-friendly. I feel like JH regained some of his poison in ep. 6, though. Also, I wanted it to be true, the shit Jeong In has been saying about Iljo, that he was banging him and Iljo was blowing other people, etc. Now, THAT would be some spicy developments.
Il Jo and Jeong Han kind of switched personalities in ep 5, and it was a little jarring. Still enjoying the drama…
I agree. Jeonhan become a needy stalker seemed to happen on a dime, and all of a sudden, Iljo was the boss...? Thankfully, things seemed to reverse course in ep. 6.
Episode 6: Dayum, this is good. Excellent acting across the board, especially for a BL. Iljo's tragic, wounded bird act is wearing thin. He's wishy-washy, moving in, moving out, I can't keep up. He must be extraordinary in the sack, just as Joengin claims otherwise why do all these people put up with his spineless approach to life. FFS, take a stand. Whoever's dressing Jeonghan deserves a raise. Those light-tone suits are killer on him. The fight choreo, from the beginning, has been feature film-worthy.
Episode 5: Insecure/Dominant/Stalker is a bad combination...in the best way possible. Drama! Those open-mouth kisses. I wet myself. It's a challenge to read these little moods/silences Iljo pulls...I like that. The coffee manager is hard to read, too...I like that. I've always found it more comfortable to do the deed on the passenger's seat. I was hoping Iljo would say deeply troubling things while eating with the coffee manager, so that JeongHan the Crazy Stalker could overhear and lose his shit. Those two office chicks are nosy af.

If you're going to plant essays, at least write them yourself.
I'm beyond sick of everything being about whoring for clicks and "engagement."
Bravo!

Looking forward to next week.
Maybe my chemistry detector is broken.

On to 6!
