Bingo! This is what I thought all through the first episode. Most BLs look as if they rented an apartment or house for two days and didn't want to make holes in the walls or smudge anything so they wouldn't lose a deposit fee. :) Everything pristine and sterile-looking.
Kuji's house was not only beautiful, but I totally believed he'd been living there for quite some time. I also noticed the beautiful woodwork/moldings/door frames, which aren't common in Japan, given that damn near every house in the country was burned to the ground in world war two, and since then, Japanese people tend to think of houses like we in the US think of cars. They expect houses to depreciate over 40 years and eventually be torn down, so you don't see a lot of investment and care taken to things such as wood moldings.
WDH's physical transformation in season 1, which I only recently watched, was sensational. I noticed immediately in episode 7, how much bulkier he was and thought often about how hard he must have trained to get that way. Now I know. I'm much more a fan of the leaner look of his costar, however.
Not sure what he means here, "I don't remember using a stunt double at all, so I did mention wanting to swap faces with AI." If he didn't use a stunt double, why would he need to "swap faces" with AI? Maybe he WANTS to use a stunt double more?
I'm not a big fan of actors doing extremely dangerous stunts that can be handled by a stunt double, especially now that AI tech makes it possible to make the double look like the actor. Why risk the life or body of a professional actor just for macho points?
Looking forward to watching Season 2, though I'm concerned the story will veer from the human relationships involved, which is what Korean thrillers do so well, and which makes me care intensely about the characters, to focusing entirely on physical action.
This is precisely what happened to Season 2 of Weak Hero Class. Season 1 was about the bullying, the reactions of characters to that bullying, and complicated relationships among the three students fighting back. Season 2 became a martial arts extravaganza, one lame fight scene after another...I was bored and forced myself to finish. I'm not one to watch a movie or drama just for the action itself. There has to be a foundation of human beings who have been established as distinct individuals, some good, some bad, and many in-between.
I value gray-area characters the most, the ones who struggle with their flaws, make mistakes, maybe some questionable choices, and are sometimes tempted into shady activities. There can be no redemption without first showing us some sin. :)
Episode 1: Good vibe. This one features a high school setting, a frequent miliue in Jbls. It is well-done with a big budget, so there are lots of extras, and everything feels authentic. The meetup on the stairs just inside doors to the school's roof reminds me of that Jbl with the guitar players and the kid that scream-sang or something. Anyway, of course, the lock on the doors is broken so that multiple students can randomly make their way out onto the roof and jump, or at least stand on the edge, threatening to do so. But I digress.
Both MLs seem like talented actors, thus far. No one appears to be 45 years old. And they're both very good-looking. Did you know that dimples occur in 20-30% of humans and is universally considered an attractive, positive feature, signaling friendliness, intelligence, and more? It's true! And all this from a physical trait that is caused by a DEFECT in the muscles underlying the cheeks. Google it.
Also, speaking of cheeks, my god, the cheekbones on these guys...like switchblades. That's a good thing. I'm of German descent. Germans generally don't do cheekbones.
Was Moonbin’s suicide due to overwhelming public criticism?
Have you educated yourself about the epidemic of suicide in the K-pop and K-entertainment industries? Do you have any idea how many Korean celebs have offed themselves? Do you think Korean celebs magically develop depression at a rate far higher than anywhere else for no reason at all, that Korea's poisonous fan/celeb culture has nothing to do with that?

Damn, how are they all so handsome, in different, unique, handsome ways? It's refreshing to see BL actors with natural suntans instead of scary, clown-white-makeup faces. Even Dad is handsome. Uncle, too.
How is this show making an absurd double-wish-upon-a-shooting-star plot work for me? Loving a Goth fujoshi arrival. Second/side couple is hilarious and engaging. MC has serious chemistry.
This show has potential to land on my top 30 fave bls list.
This sort of faux, groveling statement, in which Korean celebs apologize for existing, promise to "reflect" on whether or not they have a right to continue breathing air after "causing" a "controversy" they didn't cause, and beg forgiveness of Knetz freaks, who are the LAST group of subhumans in a position to grant same, is the EXACT, ass-backwards way to handle this BS.
Admitting fault where there was none, ill-intent where it didn't exist, and promising perfect behavior in the future only sets up this kid for even more intense, ongoing scrutiny from Knetz and the losers who follow them. They will have an eagle eye out for the any sign of human frailty down the road...
Note the "Dispatch" logo on the photograph. Dispatch is the shittiest wad of toilet paper in the turd-stuffed toilet of Korean Knetz Killer yellow journalism. Dispatch is, of course, Lilly Malice's favorite, go-to source of crap BS and lies.
