I just finished my fifth watch of this film in about as many years. It gets better every time. I find significant details I missed before with each new viewing. One of the best films of all time, in my book. 11/10+
Ahhh...yes, I recall a stupid freakout a couple of years back about some bowls not being precisely accurate to the movie's time frame, along with another petty detail no one would have noticed if not for the insane Knetz. The show was canceled. That was early in my days of following Asian dramas/cinema and I thought it was freaking crazy that a major production that was nearly done airing was shut down mid-broadcast by such petty silliness.
I have come to blame the producers/broadcasters even more than the Knetz for this phenomenon. If they would grow a backbone and ignore these nut jobs on the Internet, broadcast their shows as planned, and be done with it, after a few rounds of that sort of response, the knetz would be drained of influence. But every time a company bows to this craziness, it empowers them more.
With rare exceptions, I do not watch C-dramas or films. It's my own little boycott in protest of their crazy-ass gay content ban, which is disgraceful and bigoted.

Up to about a year ago, I felt Korea was putting out a lot more good than bad BL stuff, but since then, not so much. I see LITBC as a gay-themed drama rather than a BL for a host of reasons, and also for a host of reasons, I didn't much care for it. I know it is popular though, and that I am in the minority on that. Which is fine.
I had to look up LFLS to remind myself which show that was, and naturally, I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated it. That "trapped inside a virtual game" gimmick...gag me. Dropped it and rated it 1/10. lol So, naturally, the MDL rating is a freaking 8.7. As I alluded to above, MDL and I rarely agree on ratings. Lots of Little Girls here up-rate for cotton candy cuteness and down-rate if a character "sexually assaults" another character by looking at them with too much thirst.
Nonetheless, I am always up for suggestions and keep an open mind. I still check out an occasional Thai show, if I hear/read good buzz. Ninety-nine percent of the time, I end up dropping. All my fave Thai shows are the old classics. "Moonlight Chicken" was good, and the film, "The Paradise of Thorns," is excellent. Please feel free to recommend.
So much potential. Started so strong, then faded slowly, but if a full-fledged series were made of this with the same actors, I would def watch. A lot of intriguing aspects it would be fun to see fleshed out.
This is one of my favorite gay shorts. It shows how it's done with a meager budget: good actors, direction, and lots of heart; heart being the missing ingredient in many other, much pricier BL series and shorts.
Plus, the fujoshi is adorable in her adoration of gay boys in love.
Terrible, brainless, rainbows-and-Teddy-bears schlock, such as one expects out of Thailand, not Korea.
I'm guessing that Korean producers see the crap Thai BLs making a fortune and figure why bother with time, expense, thought, and effort to make something of quality that will go right over MDLer heads, when they can make junk like this with their eyes closed and score big.
Thus, now we have TOOKs (Turds Out Of Korea) to float alongside the torrent of TOOTs (Turds Out Of Thailand) flushed our way every month. Depressing.

Consider that it is entirely OK, and you don't have to feel guilty for enjoying a show featuring character behaviors you disapprove of. I've watched lots of murder mysteries and haven't killed anyone yet.

Acting/directing/pacing are off and tons of tropes/cliches, but the blue grading is pretty.
Plot has great potential. I dig flawed characters and bad behavior, but only when it's portrayed well, which this isn't.
