It will be interesting to see how things wrap up. I was not surprised the daddy-issue brother was named the heir, just out of a plot-surprise perspective. And now, he's not even happy about that. Yes, he had issues for sure, but from the flashbacks, it seemed he had damn good reason to have them.
I find it annoying when people treat their children poorly, but then the kids are expected to get over it because others say "oh, he loved you very much. He was just tough." Well, from flashbacks, I have to ask, "Then, why wasn't he tough on Kataoka too?" The dad was shown being expansively kind to KK but dismissive of Keito. It's natural to be resentful of that.

It's the WAY he stood off to the side, comically making it obvious to everyone that he DID hire the assassin, which I don't think was his intention. Remember, all the Yakuza dudes were trying to stop the shooter. Wouldn't they find KK's indifferent observation-ist stance a tad suspicious?
Up until just after halfway through, I thought this was going to be far better than season 2, if not as good as season 1. But then, pretty quickly, it all fell apart and became stupid and boring.
The only possibly interesting pairing was Mob and Hatano, but the script went PC and avoided the age-gap relationship, presumably because the MDL Little Girls would come unglued in comments and down-rate the show. Mob and Hatano had some serious chemistry. That Hatano actor is good. After that, there was no focus, and lots of time was wasted on inconsequential filler like the little brother's Cinderella school play. Seriously, who cares about that?
Things got funny when Mob would become evil/deranged/conniving, but those moments were over almost before they began.
I kept hoping Kikuchi (why was he in the opening credits dance, which was the best part of the show, as it was in prior seasons?) would reappear, but that didn't happen, and then the whole thing just sort of slowly petered out.

And WHY are all the hustlers' johns young and hot? IRL, they are much older and often ugly. And WHY was that actor cast as the lead role, Zhooey or Hooey or Looey or whatever the fuck, when he is silly-looking, has no screen presence, and can't act to save his life?

In response, Jae Hyeon, who it seemed had lost that love feeling, has realized he still DOES love U Jin, but has been taking their relationship for granted and has stopped expressing that love. He is clearly trying to correct that mistake now. If you've watched thru episode 3, you have seen this all take place.
On edit: Just watched episode 4. The dialogue came almost word-for-word from what I wrote above. Just because you and I had to let go of relationships that were truly over, doesn't mean every relationship that gets to that point ends in the same way.
