yeah, no sympathy here if he really did it even “just” a thigh its still crossing a line. doesn’t matter…
Nah, see yours is exactly the kind of thinking that is the problem. I don't need your lectures. I know way more than I ever wanted to about current fantasies of what constitutes "consent" and "sexual assault."
What I'm hearing is this thigh-touch crime depends entirely on whether or not some chick who goes out boozing with an idol decides after the fact that she now has an opportunity to get some attention and score some big bucks. In other words, there is no objectively defined crime here, as a stabbing would be, but one that can be invented after the fact. And that, my friend, is BS of the stinkiest kind.
When a "touch," if it happened, results in arrests, very expensive police and prosecutor time, costly court time, and a young person's life being destroyed, things are way out of whack. And the evidence? An accusation, nothing more. From what you say, once the alleged "touch" occurred, KK might as well have gone ahead and banged her, whether or not she objected. I mean, it's all "sexual assault," am I right?
There is no gray area now, and the universe is made entirely of grays. A "touch" is a life-destroying sexual assault, because it's black/white. Insane.
Your perspective regards women as dumb, little babies who need our constant supervision lest someone touch their thigh and send them into a mental hospital with trauma and PTSD for life. It's insulting to women and it's absurd.
This show has a lot of great stuff going on, but overall, I lowered my rating after this second go-round. Reasons why: The last two episodes, especially the finale, after everyone got together, were monotonous and eventually cringe-stupid. The only interesting thing in those two eps was the beautiful love scene between the TA and Ju Hyeok in ep. 9. Which leads me to my second reason: You can't have realistic/believable/beautiful kissing between two couples, and have lame af mannequin/dead fish kisses between your MC. Those were the dead-est dead fish kisses I have ever seen, and they took me right out of the show each time. Full point off for that failure alone. The MC had the least chemistry of all, and their story became boring to me, even though I don't think it had to be. The problem is that, at least here, Kim Yong Seok is a wooden/dull actor. The actual love class, the supposed core of the show, felt like an afterthought. Those scenes were perfunctory. Kim An's orphanage/host bar/freedom/scandal back story, which could have been riveting, was instead a snooze fest. I just didn't believe any of it.
Good stuff: Ma Ru and Min Yu - individually charming, interesting characters who are distinctly different from each other. Ma Ru cracks me up, and his journey to self-understanding was moving. Ma Ru was played well, as a slightly awkward, quiet, but gentle, giant. He ended up being my fave character. Also found the TA and JH to be cute/interesting. The actor who played JH flips my switch.
So, yeah, the show-stoppingly bad kisses from the MC and the boring last two episodes brought this from my original 9/10 to a 7.5/10. It remains a sentimental favorite, though.
I hate to even mention how strong this started out, as doing so is sure to jinx it, and the show will end up bombing...OR NOT! :) This is the first JP BL in a long time that had me hooked from five minutes in. Fingers crossed.
It seems to be giving away the game from the first few minutes, but Watarai certainly seems to have a thing for our adorbs nerd. It can't be that simple, though, can it? Surely he's plotting, along with his three popular buddies, some horrendous humiliation to come for Hioki...yes? No? What? :P
Fujimoto Kodai, who plays Hioki, is working hard to seem plain, and doing a good job, but it's clear from the shape of his neck/adam's apple that he has a hot bod. By the way, when I see/hear a character like Hioki overhear mean girls talking about him like that, it seriously pains me. :(
Kan Hideyoshi (Watarai) strongly resembles the recently canceled and crucified Kamimura Kenshin, though he's not quite as hot as KK. It's mostly in the nose/mouth. Let's hope Kan has the good sense to stay far away from any fujoshi-groupies. One of them is likely to plant herself next to him, brush against his leg, then claim to have been "sexually assaulted" (in her dreams). Probably be a good move for all famous JP or Korean actors to go gay and avoid that probability altogether. Until the gays catch on and start shrieking "SA!!!" when an idol looks at them wrong, that is.
Back to this show, I'm digging it. Fingers double-crossed.
came to MDL to check out what you’re watching to get some recs, now i see you’re watching playboyy 🤣 guess…
lol God, please don't do that to yourself! :D
I am at a loss for anything currently airing that's worth watching. So much disappointment in BL World these days. Somehow, I came across this pos and the comments were so wild, I had to give it a look. Then, I gave it a look and saw a hot bum, and started jumping through it for skin scenes. If my non-BL-watching friends (which is all of them) saw this thing, they would think I was insane. This is a long way down the Thai BL rabbit hole.

If you have time, please explain what, exactly, it is about having one's thigh touched (assuming it happened or that she wasn't flirting right back...do we know if SHE touched HIS thigh?) that is so over a line that it couldn't have been remedied with a simple request to stop or a drink thrown in the face, or even something crazy like getting up and leaving.
Also, if you have time, please explain how a touched thigh qualifies as a "sexual assault."

Just remembered he is blond in flashbacks. Yes, black hair is far better on him.
I've a feeling the writers/director and certain audience types think this flick is deep. It's not.
The best part is the first third's black humor. After that, it gets dumber and dumber and...
5/10
I just did, and your picture is included in the definition.
I mostly felt kind of bored.

Korea continues its slide into the BL sewer, where it now floats along with Thailand.
Dropped 1/10
This.
But, honestly, hasn't it always been this way? Only now, Korea is turning out nearly as much fluff-crap as Thailand.
God, please don't do that to yourself! :D

But only if you have the time, of course.
You're the problem.
