Please note the Lily Alice is too lazy to do the work of determining if this recording is real or fake, and then reporting the result, keeping her mouth shut until she has an answer. Instead, as always happens, she does nothing but repeat the garbage. Which further escalates things, so you can think "oh gosh, look how big this has gotten. There's something going on."

Then, trash media use the artist's response as an excuse to repeat the allegations again, in which case types like you say "well, this got big enough that she responded, so there must be something to it. Why shouldn't I know?"

That's how faux "controversies" work: There is no way out. If this actress did not respond, you would say, "well, she must be guilty. Otherwise, why is she hiding?" If she does respond, you say," well, look, it's a big enough deal for her to respond; where there's smoke, there's fire."

It is not my intent to be argumentative, but to clarify, do you believe every film/series that depicts sex must include consent, condoms, lube, etc.? Just making sure I understand you.

I disagree. If every show has to show a condom, consent, lube, etc., then every show will be the same. What about all the fascinating story lines/plots that could emerge from any one or all three of those elements not being included?

And obviously, shows like this aren't intended for people who aren't mature enough, but it's not the job of show makers to censor their stories for people who shouldn't be watching in the first place. If it were, 3/4 of all movies/dramas made in the last 50 years would have to be destroyed.

I'm glad it worked out the way it did. I liked something about his friend from the beginning.

It would have been a lot more interesting if Elio had gone psycho with jealousy; that could have gone in all sorts of fun directions.

I don't normally eschew a good sex scene, but in this show, it felt entirely pasted-in and without purpose.

I like that the two seasons didn't turn themselves into PSAs on safe sex, as Thai BLs so often do. I don't need a lecture. I was more interested in why there seemed to be no need for lube. Maybe Teacher comes pre-lubed...? Back to condoms, maybe teacher's on Prep, as well he should be.
