Episode 6:

Holy s**t. This is seriously too f**king excellent to believe.

I watch with a maniacal Joker grin stretched across my face, but my squinted eyes are misty with feels at the same time. These guys make me laugh like a donkey and squeal like an emotional bitch all at the same time. I love them.

Me too! I am a huge fan of Yoo. I've been worried for his life ever since the police, media, and courts began torturing him nearly two years ago. He seems to be doing well but it is not possible to know what is going on inside someone else's heart and soul, especially from half a world away.

I did not make it all the way through "Hi Five;" it's just not my kind of flick. But I watched about half of it and smiled like an idiot the whole time at the sight of Yoo doing what he does so well. There is NO part he can not play. He is a phenomenal actor.

I pray for him too.

I know far more than I wish I did about Jonghyun's passing. He was already near the top of my list but I guess you missed him. I discovered him by accident about five years ago when I was first becoming interested in Korean music and movies. That voice. I watched SHINee videos like crazy for a couple weeks, going crazy over their music and performances, but especially focused on the handsome one with the killer voice and stage presence, Jonghyun. After two weeks, I was reading through some comments and quickly realized he had been dead already two years. I wept like a child, such was the hold he had taken on me.

Jonghyun's heartbreaking story is what opened me up to the horror of Korea's suicide problem, especially among its celebrities. I had no idea until then. I became a big Korean cinema fan at the same time, and little by little I came to understand how massive this Korean suicide nightmare is, and how little is done to this day to openly address it.

Korea is awash in talent, beauty, shame, guilt, self-righteous judgmentalism, and booze, a bad combo all-round. We have all those things and worse in the US but for some reason don't kill ourselves at near the rate Koreans do.

Only a suicide-enabler would look at a list of 31 young, beautiful, Korean entertainers who have killed themselves and think, "I need to tell whoever compiled this list to STFU." Those who live in denial regarding SK's massive suicide problem, such as yourself, are a big part of the problem. Telling sensible people to shut up about it feeds the cycle and makes things worse.

Moonbin killed himself. Anyone who isn't delusional knows it. His family is full of it. I'm guessing their delusions are made easier to bear by the loads of cash Fantagio no doubt slipped to them under the door.

Production companies and sponsors are complicit in this too, massively so. They grant power to a teeny minority of loudmouth Knetz far, far out of proportion to their numbers. Of course, the media is garbage too...blood suckers and murderers.

When an actor gets a DUI, and no one was killed or injured or murdered or raped, why is the judicial system's dealing with it not enough for these vampires? By what exceedingly Puritanical and immature logic is it necessary to cut them out of dramas/movies/kpop groups, pretending they don't exist, as if the mere sight of them onscreen will destroy the nation's moral fiber? It is stupid af.

It has been 20 months since Lee Sun Kyun died alone in a parked car, just as did this poor man. And yet here we are again. In between, several lesser lights of the Korean entertainment industry took their own lives. It never stops. It is insane.

With sadness, I will add Song Young Kyu's name to my ever-growing list of Korean entertainers dead by suicide. I know it is lacking names that should be there. If you view it and know of someone, please let me know and I will add them to the grim tally.

Not the worst of the "macho dancer"-type movies the Philippines loves to make, which isn't saying much. The two leads are cute, and there's less than usual of that annoying, slow, undulating, snake dance thing gay strippers in Manilla do, or so I take it from skimming through a few such films.

There's a sex scene filmed through a large aquarium that is quite lovely.
