High production values, a refreshing OST, and awesome make-out scenes do not suffice to attone for the repetitious rot at the core of this story, its badly miscast male lead, and its heavy reliance on tired tropes, cliches and gay stereotypes. Its worst offense is that it is frequently dull.

Now I learn that is not the case, and these four eps were already run, then pulled from IQIYI way back in August. It is beyond obvious they were not pulled due to "technical" issues, but to issues of censorship from the Commies. Thus, I predict we will see no more than these four episodes. And if we do, they will be heavily censored.
In which case I am not giving one more second of my time to this show even though I have watched two eps and like what I see so far. I boycott anything out of China due to its psycho gay-hate, and I'm not about to watch another trash censored bl out of that black hole of repression.
Does anyone here have the low-down on this with FACTS? All I've found by googling around is random speculation.

Episode 2: Amazing what a difference good acting and direction make. Perhaps the producers took the time and made the effort to cast talented actors, rather than picking them off of fashion runways in Bangkok. Oh, what? This isn't Thai? OH...now I get it.
I became Verklempt twice: When Grandpa was missing and when Liu gave the precious gift to the boy with hair the color of bright urine. Very emotional both times. Qin Xiao is a remarkable actor.
It wasn't until halfway through this episode that I realized the guy in the bar and the guy running the art studio are the same dude. Amazing what a difference a pair of glasses can make. His adoration for the urine-haired boy is touching, but I hope he buys him some high-quality hair dye soon. That hair makes it impossible to decide if he's cute or not.

Nice. I fell for QinXiao on sight, but by the end of this ep I'm liking the other three principals too. But not as much as QX. He's my boy. Seeing as this is out of China, I wouldn't be watching it, except I've been told it was produced and released out of Taiwan to evade the Chinese government's psycho gay-ban. I'm OK with that then. :) Anything to piss off the homophobic Commies. Well-produced, well-acted and directed, writing that's making me smile here and there already. There have been a couple of trope infractions already but this is the type of BL I can even smile at those about because the bulk of it is promising. I even fell for the drunk one who came to the rescue of the deaf one before he did that. I felt goodness from him even though he was obviously wasted. One caveat: Deaf kid's bad yellow bleach job. Yikes. That may be the ugliest yellow I've seen. Someone has got to tell these BL makeup people you MUST leave the bleach on the hair long enough, or do a double-bleach job when starting from gorgeous, coal-black Asian hair. They never listen to me.
I hope this one holds up. Of late, I've had my heart broken by FOUR consecutive BLs, none out of Thailand, that started out great and went to shit. If this one does likewise, I may have to avoid BL for a while to recover my hopes for the future.
I was a tad bored with eps 3 and 4, but now the show has gone all weirdo-pervy-zany and I'm loving it again! I'm sad to see the teacher go because he had become my favorite character. hahaha His over-the-top character and behaviors were the best thing about eps 4/5. The developing romance is out of left field and all the more adorable for being so.
Futoshi kills me! I love the way he so passively lets all these odd things happen to him, all the while sort of pretending to resist and maybe show some puzzlement, but at the same time not really fight back or get all that worked up about things. He puts on his "hmmm...., well this is certainly slightly out of the realm of the every day I suppose; and oh look, the teacher has a boner, but yeah, whatever..." lololol I love him.
