The Kanda/Akira relationship is not a black or white thing and multiple things can be true at once. Is Kanda acting…
Their relationship is not the least bit creepy, that's what enrages the MDL Church Girl Morals Police crowd here. Tutor may have saved Akira's life, they had great sex and companionship for a while, and when Akira found love, they parted as friends. There is nothing at all creepy about that.
What's creepy is the ALL-CAPS shrieking from the above-mentioned Church Girl contingent here.
The ending OST was beautiful. Expect a dead fish kiss with Japanese BLs! I'm used to that. Why are people acting…
It's kind weird because Japan is generally known to be pretty freaky with sex stuff, pornography, kinky shit in movies, etc. Then, we get these BLs where everyone's lips are sewn shut.
I'm so conflicted with this show, when I started it I was convinced it was gonna be one of my fave shows of 2026…
lol It IS normal, Church Girl. Take your Morals Police Act somewhere people will appreciate it, maybe...I don't know, somewhere people don't like to think. Alabama, maybe?
This show is a 6.5/10 in my book.It def needed to be 10 eps and ep 9 and 10 should have focused on their relationship…
And yet you watched it all the way thru, even though it had been "ruined" for you by the Tutor/Akira arc.
A few observations: -ALL-CAPS don't make you assertions true, they just make you look like a hysterical person who can't effectively articulate a point and thus, resorts to shouting to make up the difference between their opinion and reality. -You don't know the meaning of the words "pedo" or pedophiliia," but you throw them around anyway as if putting a label on a person, however inacurate, is all you need to do to make it so. It's not. -If you think Kanata's weak-ass spiel in the storage room was a confession, I've no doubt your love life is lame or nonexistent. -Stop pretending to be outraged by shows you watch all the way through, even though you're allegedly revolted by what you're seeing. It is the Akira/Tutor story line that kept you watching and turned on. Just accept it. Let your freak flag fly.
Finale: What an anticlimactic, confusing, chaste, and dull way to cap off what was a fairly good BL to this point. The mannequin kiss on the bridge at the end was the last nail in the coffin for me.
First, we get Kanata kinda/sorta/but not really confessing to Akira with that roundabout, cop-out spiel about something or other... it def was not a confession, more like a confirmation of being super, really, extra-special, pinky-finger promise best friends. Then we got a period of oh, wer'e in love but totally not dating. Then, we got a fake rumor that Kanata was leaving school, so that Akira could enact an ancient, dusty BL trope, the frantic run across the city. All so that when he caught up to Kanata (no indication how he knew where he was), we could witness one of the least affecting mutual confession scenes in BL history, topped off with that dead-fish mannequin kiss I mentioned above.
I wish Akira and Tutor had run off together, leaving Kanata wondering what the hell just happened. At least that would be interesting and exciting, and it would upset the MDL Church Girl-Sex Police crowd.
Ugh. By halfway thru, I thought this show might be headed for my top 30 fave BLs list. It's getting nowhere near that honor, now. :) Rather, it goes on the pile of JBLs that go strangely distant and chaste with the love story at their core. This usually happens in the last quarter of the series. I'm usually caught off-guard because I will have been really into the show up to then, as I was in this case.
OK, so, well, this gets a 6.5 from me, which is like a D+. Not recommended, unless you're desperate for BL content and can't find anything else.
On edit: Nah, it doesn't deserve that .5. Final verdict: 6/10-D
I am not that much into second couple.I don't know what to think of the relation and the way Hama is showing his…
You're forgetting Hamaguchi is under the shooting star spell. That's why he's been acting crazy ever since the spell somehow made him fall in love with LWZ. My question is, is he even gay, and what happens when the spell wears off? Will he go back to being straight?
Episode 1: Wow, the production values are through the roof on this one. I'm not a big Apo/Mile fan, and I was disappointed by KinPorsche. That said, both actors seem to have grown a lot since KP. I find their characters believable and interesting. And both have gotten more handsome.
I got through episode 1 without a hitch. I hope things keep going that way.
Kudos to the hair team: Mile's extensions or wig or whatever's going on up there look completely natural. If it were an obvious wig, it would be a lot harder for me to buy into the character, and thus the show.
I avoid Thai BLs in general, but I enjoyed FUTS, too. I think it was the character of the younger brother of one-half of the MC who kept me laughing my ass off. :)
Are you implying the actors were drunk to play their drunk scenes? If so, please provide a link, thanks.I'm unimpressed…
Actually, I found this link earlier after seeing your comment, but it doesn't really prove anything. I posted a comment above with two links to YT videos of bts from the show that are more interesting.
Jed says he's drunk, or maybe his costar does, but then later he says he was kidding. I suspect the former.
I mean, it's not a huge deal, but if I were the director, I would not be pleased. I understand that drunk acting is hard and many actors do it terribly, but doing it well is called "work," and that's what they are there to do. Any time you're drunk, you are not in control, and that's the opposite of what an actor on set or stage should be.
I read a great little blurb about Robert DeNiro. Some lesser-known actor said he had to act drunk for a scene with DeNiro and asked him if he had any advice. DeNiro said what he does is, just before the scene is shot, spin round and round in one spot for as long as he can, then proceed with the scene while still dizzy. Actor said it worked great. :D
This issue came up with the second (horrible) season of We Best Love, WBL: Fighting Mr. Second. One of the leads had to show up at his costar's character's place and do a long scene as drunk. So...he proceeded to get shit-faced before the scene was shot, and if I remember correctly, the director was OK with that.
I wouldn't have been. And if I were playing opposite him I would have been pissed. The definition of unprofessional.

There's no villain who appears consistently to piss us off.
That's why he's been acting crazy ever since the spell somehow made him fall in love with LWZ.

MDL rating: 8.3.
