i also really like the drama and will continue watching it. i figured they will explain everything later but seeing that just threw me off and shocked me LOL but aside that their chemistry and everything is great including the cinematography and acting. i will definitely finish it though i can't even imagine missing jingyi and weilong's amazing chemistry
E11 the most ridiculous scene changes i've ever seen like first we see 20 secs of fire and then it immediately changes to miao jing moving for college like what.. ik theyre gonna explain it later but still give me a heads up sth that leads to the scene like.. and again with 5 secs of miao jing's college life geniunely why cant we see.. this is also what i hated most about never ending summer this show is way better even from now but still its annoying
minor spois below! loveddd this show it was so fun to watch and didnt bore me at all it was so optimistic n gave such a good message with wanxing and others it was amazing and refreshing. i absolutely loved the boys, seeing their friendships, struggles, romances (chengye + shinxu loll) etc my babies i would a watch a whole show focused on them. also loved the couple too but i wish we had more romantic scenes with them their banter at first was very good i liked how their relationship developed but i wish they started dating a bit sooner or showed us more of them. nevertheless it was great seeing FL's development from being the lazy girl (relatable) to actually passionate with the help of wang fa ofc. AND wen chengye and fu shinxu was literally the second couple in this fr and i loved it. them signing that ball together and not with others in the end after their friend asked a girl out lmao #signs. they were just so romantic. would also watch a whole show about them lol +seeing victor ma was so good hes so great. i desperately need more modern dramas like this preferably starring chen jingke lol
first and foremost, uhm taegoo in a romcom. EXCELLENT. buttt it took me too long to come back and finish this but im glad i did. it was a good drama but the second half was tiring somehow. the best part was jihwan's employees really they were so great jaesu and manho was a show of their own they were so funny i loved the comedy element in this show soo much. only thing i didnt like was the 2nd couple (spoilers) i dont like the pregnancy trope i hate it their screentime shouldve been given to yena and honggi in my opinion or at least the prosecuter and the girl that worked with him i thought we were gonna see these couples at the end tgt so that was sad. i also dont like the childhood connection but it was bearable cuz they were a cute and good couple really jihwan was so great honestly uhm taegoo has to make a romcom each year for my wellbeing honestly he has the perfect material and so unexpected too! kingie
this was a good drama to watch the leads chemistry and relationship was really great and believable but i found the 2026 version underwhelming i expected more angst and maybe seeing glimpses of their life before reconnecting 10 years later like zhou wan's college years perhaps her giving other ppl chances but it being nothing like what she felt with xixao etc i wanted to see stuff like that! this is also a problem for me with modern cdramas mostly revenge and confrontations all fall short.. i wanted to see xuxiao finding out what his grandpa did, zhou wan confronting his mom and mr lu etc etc.. maybe cuz im so used to kdramas lol. other than that it was great i just loved the 2016 version it was more gripping
i started watching this for kim jaeyoung but idk if i can finish after finding out that kim seolah doesnt end up with taerang.. she was already an awful character mind you but giving her a chance to redeem herself with taerang and then making her go back to her idiot husband is actually so cruel.. and most of her scenes are with taerang, hes on the poster like this doesnt even make sense im so pissed.. and i dont know if i can take more up with the father too like how can her mom love cheongah and do so much for her yet stay with this loser who keeps treating cheongah badly somebody kill him pls. i rlly wanted to watch it for joonhwi and cheongah but now idk :(

jaeyi's dad was such a well written villain him sacrificing his son like that was just evil even i felt bad bro what a man... i absolutely love dysfunctional families so they were perfect for me him loving jaeyi more when hes a gisaengs son too.. i wanna talk about jaeyi i absolutely adored him i think he was the best character he was so complex and well written he was constantly fighting w everyone and himself LoL but he was a sweetheart in his own so even tho i loved the main couple i still had SML syndrome bad their scenes were always hitting too like her slapping him after him trying to make her stop the wedding saying do you really wanna get sold? and him slapping her when she was trying to kill the king pls.. ily im jaeyi i need hong minki ML with a character similar to this #RN. i also loved eunjo and her familys dynamics they all loved each other sm her brother pretending to be an idiot or trying to be mad at her, her mom who always trusts her and her dad... his death actually shocked me and upset me so much he was such a good dad he loved her sm when he said he would kill himself if eunjo married yiyeol LMAO i was actually agreeing with him lol he had a point..
this was a good well written show even though it got boring towards end a bit i loved the political cause that they were fighting tgt and their relationship even though i felt something was off with the chemistry at first. i just think they shouldve showed us when he leaves the throne to his nephew and gets together with her instead of the modern ending since i loved the idea bcz i hate it even when main couple become king queen together since ik theyre not gonna leave the palace hes gonna have other children etc but her coming as a concubine #hellno. also loved eunjo always putting her family first and agreeing to marry that old guy secretly from them leading up to her kissing yiyeol was perfect and i loved ML's personality and the way he dressed LOL very good styling finally. didnt like the last minute childhood connection but it made sense too. i loved daechu and haerim they were such good characters haerin falling in love with both eunjo and the prince is soo😹 daechu was so dreamy too diva..
i just wanna mention how everyone just loved each other sm in this show i adored it. goodeok and taeyong, taeyongs family, her dad, maksim🩷 and other folk, her brother in law :( her brother in law and seonhwi's relationship was one of my favourites he loved him sm when he said my real brother is dying bcz of you to his own bro i cried my ass off.. their bond was so real and precious. manseok my baby he was so loyal to seonhwi they were ride or die for each other his ending made me so sad the way seonhwi cried.. them naming their baby after him <3 i felt sad for the real husband but there was nothing to do like in the end he absolutely left goodeok but good came of it seonhwi replacing him and the whole town loving him for him.. his love for goodeok was just so good i laughed and cried with them he actually loved her so much he gave up EVERYTHING... & so did she. loved their ending with their families esp goodeok with her dad after everything.. will never forget this show ughhh perfection
spois below! i finished this masterpiece a week ago and i can only comment now😭😭 it was honestly so well written cheonhwi and goodeoks love was just legendary they were such good characters i cried for both of them in their own.. esp when goodeok reunited with her dad LOL when she yelled dad i was gone.. her dad refusing for her safety too😭 she really suffered more than jesus.. every episode made my class grudge boil so hard i especially loved how even the villains we saw at first became loyal to goodeok at the end.. especially lady kim and her husband like she loved goodeok sm when she cried hearing her secret😭😭 i also wanna mention the transition of lady kims husband like him trying to kill haegang at first then begging her to not forgive him and cure her in the last ep im glad their fam lived. each character was just so well written even the worst made me reel things for them like miryeongs mom except lady sohye and her dad omg she acts so good i legit wanted to gauge her eyes everytime LOL they deserved sm worse.
it was good loved the healing setting but felt rushed at the end especially for my second couple hayeong and taeseok i was totally robbed of them i so needed more #angry af rn... loved the cast sm especially the ladies all princesses love all of them sm. the first couple was good overall i cared for their past at first but then it got tiring for me in the end i loved it more when he was trying bring life into her more. i sadly dont like it when the show focuses on couples who are already tgt so didnt care that much for hadam (yeju princessa) and her cutie bf they were cute but i didnt connect with them that much.. on the contrary loved grandma and grandpas relationship lol. the use of AI pissed me lets not do it #again

the complex relationship between so many characters was my favourite like wei yan and his ex, xie zheng (him imagining xie zheng before his execution😭) even his 'son' lol but the best one was really qi min and sui yuanqing. when yuanqing couldnt kill qi min in the end after everything and reminisced their memories as he was stabbed i legit cried both were terrible but the doomed brothers always hits to me. i actually enjoyed qi min character so much most of the time i wanted to kill hım bcz of bao'er (my bb him crying when he saw ning..) i also felt really bad for him idk him and qianqian was so compelling to watch.. last scene of the show being him running away from her even though nothing bad happened in this version and despite being very happy to see her😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i dont condone his actions but it was just so sad to see idk.. they were really doomed from the start and in every universe :( my girl qianqian suffered so much really but i think she did love him in the end at least a little. yeah controversial but i loved them too
