Just finished 32. It's official, I don't like what they changed in XZ's character. One of his core motivation…
Let’s just say XZ is so unconditionally in love with her that he’s not letting his revenge get in the way. From the beginning, he already suspected his uncle was playing some foul games, he kept saying he need to find the truth, so he believes Wei Qilin’s betrayal might have another side to it. They seem to be portraying him as more rational rather than someone blinded by revenge.
TBT used to be my favorite of his before POJ but honestly, no matter how many kiss scenes he has with Xu Ruohan, his best pairing for me is Tian Xiwei🥰
for those who are a fan of zhang ling he.. guys do you think watching princess royal is worth it??
His acting was good, but even that couldn’t keep me hooked. I personally found Zhao Jinmai’s character a bit frustrating, and the second lead got more screen time than I expected. I dropped it around episode 30.
That said, a lot of people do like it, so you can give it a try and see if it works for you!
Netflix only has episodes up to 32 right now. I think some people are watching the rest on pirated sites but please avoid leaked episodes guys. Let’s support the drama team by watching through official platforms 🙏
A super fl rookie kills the main Experienced War general (royal heir) ✅ just after being two times in the war
Did you miss her entire character development? She’s been doing things far beyond what any normal person would . Even the pig butchering scene directly parallels her actions in killing the so called war general who can’t stand against her blade technique duh
Finally, supporting casts are actors too. They are putting in the work as much as the main leads are. The way…
Yeah, exactly. Everyone in the cast is putting in their best, so I don’t get why people can’t just appreciate that. Supporting actors are doing just as much work as the leads.
Like, even Cheng Lei gained a lot of attention after My Journey to You because he did justice to his role. That’s exactly how actors grow and eventually land lead roles in bigger productions. But even then, some fans were hating on him just for doing his job, which honestly makes no sense.
So many long think pieces lol I’ve said it before the drama follows the novel well, for better or worse lol…
Yeah, what you’re saying actually makes sense. they’ve reduced the Marquis’s ruthlessness on screen and mostly told us about it through dialogues (and very few scenes like the table breaking scene in front of Lord Li), instead of consistently showing it.
At the same time, I don’t think people are considering that the story needs to give more screen time to FCY so we can actually see her growth and how she earns her position as general. XZ is already established as a ruthless Marquis who can act decisively in seconds, so his arc doesn’t require the same buildup.
Because that balance is shifted, it can feel uneven but that seems more like a deliberate directorial choice than a flaw. Not sure if some viewers are just quick to point it out, or if they’re overlooking the different aspects the director is trying to handle.
What I like about this ep different from the book was how he was drugged. He was so sweet, then was lured by FCY…
I think it’s because it was her first time actually being on a battlefield. That initial hesitation felt natural like she needed a moment to take it all in before fully stepping into the fight.
While watching Legend of Female General, I could see that Zhou Ye put in a lot of effort and I really appreciated her performance. But, our girl FCY made it look so effortless and epic at the same time!!! 🐷
