Not gonna mention the AI. There are surprisingly few full-body compositions compared to how often the camera focuses on legs, shoes, or tight close-ups.
You don't have to agree with my opinion, but please don't tell me what I did or didn't see. We simply noticed different things. For me, the cinematography is terribly executed. ZLH and WCR's performances and how the story unfolds, are what's keeping me watching.

Are you serious? There have been plenty of foot shots. From Murong Qingyi's mom's first entrance, Murong Qingyi's own entry, Ren SuSu buying flowers and her entry, the German lady's intro, SuSu walking away from the memorial hall, scenes on the ship... the list goes on. I get that the director is going for an artistic style, but when the same type of shot keeps showing up, it starts to feel excessive and becomes jarring.

Lol, these unhinged camera cuts, I’m fully expecting the characters to start spinning dramatically while a tragic title track plays on loop in the background. major flashbacks to the Hindi serials my mom used to watch.
Those name pop ups with the sound effects felt like I was watching a YouTube drama. Personally, they kept breaking my immersion. There were also a lot of water reflection shots and foreground framing, which made me think the director must have been a cinematographer before. It's a good thing visually, but at times it didn't feel very smooth. Overall, though, I'm enjoying the story from episode 3 onwards, and both leads are just 🔥
