At this point, it feels like you're just rage-baiting. Chen Yi chose to make those sacrifices. Miao Jing never asked him to. He pushed her away, made every decision on his own, and never gave her an explanation. Are we even watching the same drama? Calling a woman sleeping around because she dated after being left, while expecting her to put her entire life on hold for a man who chose to leave, is a clear double standard. You're entitled to dislike the writing, but don't pretend that kind of language isn't misogynistic. I don't think there's much to discuss if that's the lens you're viewing the story through.

Why do we even have to explain this? These immature kids should understand that the FL choosing to date after being left is her choice, just as the ML choosing not to date (or however you interpret his years apart) is his choice. Neither diminishes their love. If anything, it makes the story feel more real; people don't have to live identical lives while they're apart for their love to be meaningful.

If you're so sure the ML never touched another woman, why was Tu Li staying in Miao Jing's room when she has a home of her own? Even if Chen Yi didn't sleep with anyone, that was his choice because of his trauma and baggage, not something the FL was obligated to mirror.

If someone is the love of your life, that doesn't automatically mean you know they'll come back or that you should wait forever. From Miao Jing's perspective, Chen Yi chose to leave and pushed her away. She had every reason to believe it was over. Dating other people doesn't invalidate what she felt for him; it reflects someone trying to move forward after being left behind.

I'm actually liking the tension between the leads that's been building over the last few episodes. We can see MJ pushing Chen Yi to finally confront his feelings instead of continuing to push her away. Chen Yi has always had a stubborn, self sacrificing streak, so Miao Jing is going about it in his own way; rage-baiting him into stopping the selfless idiocy.

To me, it doesn't really feel like an enemies to lovers trope. It feels more like two people who already care deeply about each other but are emotionally at odds because one refuses to acknowledge his feelings while the other refuses to give up on them. MJ is fighting for both of them, even when Chen Yi won't fight for himself.

And when everything finally comes crashing down in Epi 17, it hits so much harder because we see just how much trauma Chen Yi has been carrying all this time. MJ ends up being the only person capable of pulling him back from that darkness, which made the emotional payoff really intense for me.

I think the point was that even though he says it isn't important, he still starts looking for the earring as soon as Miao Jing says she'll go search for it. It shows he still cares about her and was just acting cold. She then confronts him by shouting, Why isn't it worth it Chen Yi, because she's trying to make him admit that he still cares. She was just constantly pushing his buttons ever since she came back.

In epi 14, Chen Yi reminds her that it was just hookups and tells her to back off from MJ.

No hate toward either drama.😭 I'm genuinely enjoying TEF so far. LFY just has me in a chokehold; the wait between episodes is all I can think about.

Every episode of LFY leaves me yearning so much that Eternal Fragrance and Blossoms of Power are just background noise to me atp.

Probably just the trope. 😅 But these first 4 episodes are honestly way better than Speed and Love. The FL ZJY isn't all childish and overly naive, which makes her so much more enjoyable to watch.

I couldn't believe I started tearing up watching Bai Lu's acting in epi 32. I've never cried over a cdrama before. That scene made me realize just how powerful a performance can be.
