i only started this because i was digging through old kdramas after basically running out of everything else to watch, but holy shit this was amateur in a way i genuinely wasnt expecting. the acting, directing, pacing, chemistry, even the way some scenes were put together felt weirdly cheap and clumsy. i still dont understand how this aired on mbc looking like this.
and seriously dont let the synopsis fool you into thinking youre about to get some insanely messy addictive melodrama. on paper it has everything i usually love and somehow it did absolutely nothing with any of it. this shit was ass.

this reminded me so much of 2000s k-dramas that i honestly don’t get why people talk about it like it’s doing something completely new. as someone who watches a lot of 90s–2010s k-dramas, the tone and plot felt almost familiar to the point of being cliché in an old-school makjang way. it reminded me a lot of miss ripley (2011), and if you lowered the production quality a bit, i could totally see this airing as a kbs weekend makjang. i genuinely had a hard time believing this was a 2025 drama, and that’s exactly why i loved it so much.

Premium cuckold Tae-wook… I’m sorry, but at some point I genuinely started wondering if the writer just enjoyed watching this man get cucked, because HOW many times can one husband stand there watching his wife actively cheat on him with another man and still be like, “that’s my wife”? 😭 And somehow it’s still an insanely enjoyable watch because Ji Jin-hee is so fucking sexy.
