I'm slightly behind on the subbed episodes, so I'm not sure if there was any confirmation about it before episode 30, or I just didn't catch it, but I kinda thought Sifeng wasn't aware of being a demon. That maybe his powers were sealed by the sect at birth or something and he just didn't know. This reveal was a surprise!
This drama just loves torturing us with non-stop angst XD

Eight subbed episodes in and so far the pace is great. There was never a dull or filler moment. There was plenty of action, cute interactions between the leads and some heartache. I only dislike it when Senior Hao Chen shares screen time with the female lead, for obvious reasons ;P

Up to episode 10, and I'm really enjoying it. Aesthetically it's very pleasing, and the main couple's growing romance is seriously cute. I see why some people think the female lead is annoying with her childish behaviour, but we also get to see beyond the surface, that she is a strong, honest and kind hearted girl. Her silliness often feels like the way she covers feeling lonely and sad. I find her quite charming and I'm looking forward to see her grow. The male lead is just illegally hot and also quite funny. I'm loving everything about his interactions with the FL and with the other scholar.
