Whoa this episode might be one of my fvorite episodes among dting shows. The sun and moon metaphors, the friendships, xingxing and bohan 1st encounter, and this love polygon involving the sun and star. We have secured lovelines and this one with the love polygon is a bit unpredictable especially i just recently watched the newlywed’s season.
I am not very certain that Mujin's mum will want to take Gyeol from Gyurim - assuming Gyeol = Mujin's son. Why?…
I am. but the most unbearable was the father. I actually like seeing Gyuyoung despite disliking her character. Maybe we'll get a character development when she emotionally regulate instead on squealing. 😂
I dont like Gyuyeong but tbh, the mother is so harsh on her. Why is she blaming a child for refusing to starve if her mom didn't have the money? I know GY is terrible now (like why is she throwing like a toddler as an adult) but at that time she chose her father, she was a child then, wth. The fact the mom also gave her that money for her not to contact her stepfather is the cherry on top. Like why is she so concerned of Gyuyeong meeting her current husband? She is her child and the husband doesn't seem to mind and had actually silently supported her.
I am not sure how the the mother and Han siblings will end up because they still haven't interacted much. Their mom isn't the best mother that she appears to be with her current family and his father is unredeemable for me. Why are the parents so unlikeable in this drama?
I cant see any couple that could be as strong as season 1. I hope it'll surprise me like Noona Is a Woman To Me S2, but still, this show barely had moments wherein there are reciprocated romantic moments. I think the most hopeful to actually have a real couple after the show is Junghyeon (esp. if she picks Inkwon). Yechan is so aromantic but is polite thus it can be interpreted as romantic actions. (Also, his actions towards Doyoon during the family meetup felt a little performative, for both families to see how well he treats her.)
https://youtu.be/TpXQUuAWohk?si=kco7JDEFb-dPnpX9 Woah, i am unsure what to think of recruiting young people about to die as exploitation or an exercise of free will from the participants. Either way, I’m curious.
I wish they included more mundane moments that they have shown in the last episode. I like the endgame couple but seeing those fun moments of friendship couldve been more sprinkled here and there. Seowon is seriously so fun and pure, shouting he’ll be a better person and being sentimental in the last day. He is most himself with Soyun, too bad he made a different choice.
To the people asking why this isnt as popular as the BLTS or Transit Love, I dont think it was the actual screen time. Is it because it wasnt promoted as much as the previous seasons? Like, look at their YouTube they barely uploaded snippets from previous episode. There wasnt a “official reaction show” similar to HS 4 or Heart Pairing (i remember Jiyoung, Lala being hosts) that I would also watch once it gets subbed. I am not sure if they ran put of budget since Heart Pairing was expensive with the Italy and all but i see some reactors on YouTube not aware of HS5 airing and just recently knew about it.
Hyukjoon and Suji, please just date each other and spare everyone else. You’re both spoiled brats, and you seriously…
I actually dont get why suji is being hated on, she obviously cant settle on jinwoo (did you watched their date?) and rn, setting his history with hyunseo aside, and only what she knows, hyukjoon’s behavior towards her is the closest normal romantic interaction she can have. Hyukjoon flirts with her by giving her compliments and she likes it. She felt being led instead of leading the conversations. Her interest for him is valid but only because she cant see the whole picture. How can she? As she said, she is a busy woman, she’s popular.
I cant feel bad about the guys being rejected. I know they had trauma from the past but why does Jinwoo & Hyukjoon feels entitled that the women they had picked to return the favor since they had shown their interest to them. (Jinwoo conveyed his interest but felt more like, you showed affection for me, ok i choose you, you will continue reciprocating later right? Like, I can't blame Suji having more connection with Hyukjoon whom she seeing rn is his early version of lovebombing). The difference of their reaction to the "betrayal" is that Hyukjoon was getting picked by people to have a date with him and had the audacity to say stuff to Hyunseo like he was giving the girls "a chance".Also Hyukjoon is more annoying. Seunghyun's closure was actually the best. He also went from Hyunseo & Soohyun to Suji but he never gave empty promises to people. But who knows, he may have been at peace with the rejection because he knows the status with the other participants.
I want to root for Taehoon and Soohyun but it is rocky right now. Soohyun's face reminds me of Kim Hyeyoon so I have a soft spot for her but yeah, she seems to be rushing rn and oblivious to Taehoon's being taken aback. She has the tendency to talk fast and fill silence which could be fun for friends but for a partner, she has to meet someone who would like that. It is actually cute and I do not want her to change, it's adorable.
All I can say is, it's hard to choose from these men. Jinwoo seems to be the most balanced IMO (can communicate his feelings and has the vulnerability to share his trauma not just to the guys but to the person he chose). Also he and Jeongeun seems to be the least easily influenced by other people but the reality after the show seems not promising. She is a doctor and dating a student can have a power balance that may hard to overcome. He seems to have come from a well-off and capable family (for having extreme expectations from him and the brother) that maybe his allowance could cover for their dates but I wonder if there could be more disparity outside the show.
