Tbh i find koo kyo hwan handsome so it was win win by acting and visuals both
True but he is dressed like a beggar in this. I find him attractive too esp. in Once We Were Us the good times & esp grayscale ver. But people had been complaining about her “unattractive” male leads for quite a while.
Now this is what we call an absolute cinema. It’s a masterpiece through and through. I don’t think I’ve…
Now that you mentioned it, I wish there were more scenes about Euna being the center of celebration but I think the power she had for Knock Knock Knock was evident of her influence on that project and her future since the CEO already knows the true identity of Yeonsil. Yet, I also wished for more scenes about that project as I am also curious how it would look like in big screen. Nevertheless, for me her success is best represented with her taking control of her emotions because what she initially thinks about her emotion when having nosebleed is self destruction and it seems she has been learning to manage when that emotion comes to her.
DM succeeded with his first movie, but we didn't see much about what happened with Eun A. Not much development…
She never wanted her identity to be revealed. She only told her half sister because they are basically BFFs atp. She wants to be successful and dont want her biological mom to take credit for her success at least publicly speaking.
What I had observed from this discussion of ratings and all is how some fans/supporters are sometimes the hindrances to their favorite’s career. There are people purposefully rating this drama low because GYJ is paired with a guy who is not as attractive and also older than her.
Tbh, I have watched most of her dramas and have enjoyed them (AOS, Moving, Resident Playbook) and yet this is the only drama where her character moved me. She knows to pick good dramas but her performance is weak compared to the drama’s success. (This reminds me about the issue about Miran’s casting in projects that dont suit her, and incidentally GYJ’s character was the one who had critiqued about it). However in this drama, despite her lines isnt as long as dongman, I think she conveyed Euna’s character really well esp that board room meeting where she applies what her therapist taught her.
Also, imagine if they had casted someone younger and a more handsome actor to play Dongman, I dont think it would work. Byeona is supposedly to be an actress’ daughter and also shining as DM would describe her. Dongman needs to be old enough that he has been long in the industry and have still not yet debuted and at the same time not so handsome that he will be given pretty privilege. He wont be THAT petty to be yapping and annoying people with his stories. Aside from the incongruity if that will be the new character, a handsome young man who still yaps about fighting his worthlessness, who would they cast?
TLDR, She is a perfect casting for this and so is Koo Kyo hwan.
Why we dont know what happened with Eun A writing credit issues . Now hes a "nice" guy?
He only treats them like that because they bring money otherwise he is still the same man. I do not think for a second he is now a nice guy. It is just that they are all in the same industry and they have to work together..
All stories are just cries that we exist. I exist in such a painful/sad,/depressed/humurous way. We get 100 years…
I really love how this drama talked about purpose of life mainly through Jinman, storytelling through Dongman, and recognizing emotions through Eunah. You may add more for the different characters but I find the whole theme of this drama about these three. Call me fake deep for liking Jinman the most but I find his words the most thought provoking. The way he would ask people what's their purpose in life, telling about Dongman about being a human "being" not just a human doing, his poems especially in the last episode about the seasons about how it waits and is also the present.
All stories are just cries that we exist. I exist in such a painful/sad,/depressed/humurous way. We get 100 years at best. Everything disppears in 100 years, so does anything truly exist if it disappears. To lay those doubts to rest, you end up desperately writing stories. -Hwang Jinman
Most impressive last episode I ever watched. Every scene has wrapped up every string that had loosened in the previous episodes. Almost all of the scenes in the last episode is legendary but the scenes about the siblings hit me hard, the ones by eunah & miran and dongman & jinman. We also got to see HDM in that speech.
Yeah he is so easy on the eye. His face reminded me of Myeong Gyun of His Man S3. He just looks shorter than other guys. From the teaser, he looks like he will be flirting left to right but he seems to be gentle and caring type who is focused on who he likes most. The production used his face as bait for the teaser. But it could just me, his face stood out to me the most. (Also in the dark, Jinwoo with his hair down, he could look similar to SW.)
Jin Woo is kind of weird. The first impression is that he has one girl, then he went to talk to another, and in…
He tried his best to flirt with everyone on the first day. Like the reason he talk to Juhee is because she is the person he talked to the least. I think he likes everyone like Dindin (who seems to enjoy dating noonas) and doesn't mind who. But the problem is, the women has other people in their mind, that's why he is not chosen.
His story will be just longer. He'll yap about the events that made him realized how he knew he was duped, that he lost a tooth, how a handsome guy had duped him when he bought it and I can imagine him telling about his reflections, like how he told Byeon A by that window. I'd imagine he would be just as insufferable to the people who knew about the story, in HDM's way.
I am wondering how this drama end. I am curious how PHY will resolve/go through the issues revolving Eunah-Jeonghui. Gyeongse-Hyejin, HwangJinman's depression . I want to see how will Dongman-Gangsik work together and how will Knock Knock Knock will turn out. This recent episode had so much stories that I think it may be possible to have some closure about these stuff in the last episode. I hope it won't feel too rushed. Even Jeon Jihyun is enjoying this drama as she had said in Pinggyego.
