Can anyone tell me is FL smart enough to tackle antagonist without help of ml?is it happy ending or open ending?
FL is smart and cool. ML taught her fighting skills but she has a brain of her own. She also is strong enough to live her destiny. But ML love her and so want to do a lot of things for her without her knowing. It's a happy ending.
(1) True Gods have a very long life, but I think they do eventually die. Otherwise, I don't see why there will…
Oh interesting POV on the bracelet. I kept thinking he wanted his son to give to his mother cos the bracelet has no meaning for the boy. But that aside, in reality, as viewers, most of us probably want her to have her memories back so she'll remember everything. Haha.
Ok, someone help me. Is there a website with the Chinese novel without all the garbage ads? I can't read cos the obscene ads are all there.
Personally, I find some of the things that Bai Jue said to his son contradicting. First, I don't understand what Bai Jue said about everyone will die. Aren't they the 4 gods and how is it they would die? I thought they'll live forever. That's why Shanggu said their lives are too long isn't it? Or am I mistaken?
Second, he told his son that death is not scary, not even watching loved ones die because it's destiny and it's the natural course. I know he was referring to Feng Run but when I heard that, I couldn't help but wonder...then it shouldn't have been that scary for him to watch Shanggu die back then. It was after all, her destiny. But yet, he tried so hard to keep her alive and change her destiny. I understand his choice to die for her eventually but this conversation with his son is just a little off to me.
Another thing I have been thinking: Bai Jue loves Shanggu but isn't leaving her with the memories too painful? Why did he return them then? I know it's only right since it's her memories but...wouldn't forgetting some of it be less painful for Shanggu?
Yeah, I like the battle with Wu Huan and also her punishment is satisfying. At first when Shanggu said she'll die, I thought it was too easy. But what I didn't like is that they spent too much time on that arc and the final scene of Wu Huan is still a "nice" one if you know what I mean. I felt her daughter should be punished more severely but I think losing her princess status, seeing her family torn apart and her mom in that state is quite a suffering by itself. Anyway, I feel that Shanggu maintained her status by not being spiteful towards Jingchao so I like that.
I love the reunion of father and son too and I wish the end scene had a family reunion. That ending...arrgh...cannot fill the void in my heart!
But this is definitely a good drama that I will rewatch!
Sigh. Typical C-drama ending. Anti-climax and not satisfying. I almost missed the happy ending cos I dozed off…
I feel like a show like Goodbye My Princess has a more satisfying ending. Yes, the ending was tragic but at least it was a good wrap up where she died for a reason and they also spent some time showing how the king longed for her as he grew old. Emotionally, I felt there was a release. Oh well.
Last episode was some rushed, but it happen in 90% of all fantasy/historical c-dramas, Im not satisfied complete…
I agree that this is a good production and the OSTs have so much feels. Although ZDY seemed strange at first but I grew to like her as the show progressed. She is a cool Shang Gu.
This definitely counts as one of my fave fantasy dramas along with Eternal Love and Love and Destiny.
Sigh. Typical C-drama ending. Anti-climax and not satisfying. I almost missed the happy ending cos I dozed off for a minute. I love this drama but can't they give us at least 10 mins of couple reunion? It looks like the time was taken to give Wu Han and her family closure.
Finished ep 31. A bit rushed at the end but generally, a good wrap up. This is one of the cutest C-drama romcoms I've seen recently. The dialogues are witty and the chemistry is good. Best of all, the supporting cast is gold. Love it and highly recommend it. Personally, I won't watch this for acting because it's secondary. The acting ain't ace but they're not completely flat either. Just watch for the cute interactions.
Yeah, I like him too. First time watching him and he definitely stole some thunder from the leads. It's guys like him that always give us the SL syndrome. LOL.
I know why bai jue have to do it.... but it is still very heart ache to watch it. How hard and painful for him…
His acting ain't excellent yet but definitely is not bad. Not "wooden" as some have claimed. Can see the difference between Bai Jue and Qin Mu distinctly. I found myself rewatching some of the scenes again.
The drama is based on the novel and it's written like that. If you're sensitive about what they say, this drama…
If you wanna leave a comment, be prepared for replies. Why so defensive? Many here like the drama so of course if you say something we don't agree, we'll like to counteract. You mean you're so sensitive you can't even handle this? Then don't comment or don't read the replies.
Watched up to ep 38. I enjoyed the 1st arc of the story tremendously. The 2nd arc is fine but not as enjoyable IMO cos there are so many foreshadowing of what is to come. I took my time to watch. I'm a wee bit scared of watching the 3rd arc. The trailers make it look angsty. I hope not. Maybe need to wait till they finish the drama to watch.
I like this drama a lot but it has so many problematic dialogues that turn me off so much.
The drama is based on the novel and it's written like that. If you're sensitive about what they say, this drama ain't for you then. I love the dialogues though cos they're all very witty.
