Wow, you just don't get what I meant by there is a difference. What I meant by difference is, how the public view a man and a woman showing their body. We're not on the same frequency so no point talking further on that cos whatever I say is of no logic to you and vice versa. Does he get to read your comment? Come on. When you post stuff like that, it is only read by the public, fans and non-fans. Well, SYJ is female. There's a difference. And who are we to say what shows he should or should not do. Scandal is such a great artsy production, don't cheapen it just cos there were like less than 15 mins of nudity in 8 episodes. Perhaps you don't like and that's understandable cos of preferences but my point is, can you just chill and stop posting such comments if you really support him. If not, write to his agency. What's the point of posting this here? You seem to be a fan but IDK if you're aware that such posts only provide fodder to antis coming in to say crap about his choices.

Okay, so we differ in opinion. I tried a bit of Queen Woo and it wasn't for me. This one is a gem for me and I love it. I watched the movie version and also other remakes but this one draws me into the story with the poetic dialogues and emotional depth. I really love this.

Where are you watching? Cos it looks perfectly normal when watched on Netflix. Other sites look weird.

It's not there in the original too. In fact, I thought the subtle hints of romantic feelings were stronger in this one than Untold Scandal.

Sorry only talking about Untold Scandal cos the director clearly said this is paying tribute to that movie.

Why damage reputation? This is not porn. It is one high quality production that is very classy and tastefully done. If you're talking about an actress, maybe. But even then, I read that Kim Go-Eun had nude scenes in her debut but look at her now. If they're doing it as part of their profession and the production is of quality, there is no need to worry that much. As an actor managing his own profession, he has his own choices and we can respect that. I didn't watch Queen Woo cos personally I found the nudity there unnecessary but it doesn't affect my view of him as a pro actor.

I had my concerns about this director but now that I've seen his work, I find him really good. We'll just have to see what kind of offers come JCW's way. But seriously, I think we can all chill cos it's not like he's doing anything criminal that will seriously damage reputation.

Yes, I'm aware. I say it's crazy in the context of people with limited exposure to K-movies and are only used to watching fluffy romcoms on OTT.

I honestly think the sex scenes were fine. Nothing crazy. Even though this is an 8-episode series, it's shot like a movie. Maybe the crazy thing is that it is on a platform that many can access.

I will compare this with Untold Scandal cos both are set in the Josen era based on same culture and climate. I agree that Lady Cho in the original movie was more interesting. They didn't make Lady Cho here as vile as the original. While watching it, I thought they tried to make Lady Cho restrained and I kept thinking she thinks/act like a man whereas Cho Won is emotional like a woman.

I saw many positive comments on X too but yes, divided. The premise of the story causes polarization no doubt but in my country, it's sitting at No. 1 spot today.

You know when I started watching ep 1, I saw so many negative comments on X. Then as I continued, I tried to look out for those negative stuff they were saying and I thought we weren't watching the same drama. Aside from parts of ep 3 which was a bit draggy for me, I found the entire series very enjoyable to watch. Even though I'm familiar with the story, I found myself on edge on how are they gonna handle some of the tricky situations. The emotional depth was satisfying and the entire series was so beautiful and poetic, something to savor slowly. Honestly, the 19+ scenes were like 10 - 20% IDK why people are kicking a fuss when the ratings are there for them to check.

Initially I was a bit worried about how the director will handle the show but he proved to be solid. Very well executed from start to finish. I love the show. Will re-watch.

But surely every show is allowed to adapt to a different interpretation even if it's based on the original story. Also, I think this one is more of paying tribute to Untold Scandal filmed in 2003. I actually love this version more than those others I've seen and this is a story I love. Of course, Dangerous Liaisons always has a special place in my heart.

I see. Your comment was that aspect ratio is bad for your eyes so I took it as you had an issue. But hope you're enjoying the show or have enjoyed it.

IDK why you have a problem with that...the scenes were perfect for me. No issues with aspect ratio at all.
