Yeah, I hope no unnecessary angst too.

Why? Last 4 episodes were good. I rewatched them.

She's very pretty with big eyes and sort of typecast as sweet and bubbly...that was my impression of her until I watched her in Moonlit Reunion. She can kickass too. I also quite like her in In Between and now this.

Watched 2 episodes and trying to hold cos I want more to drop before watching. Hope I can resist. But this is good. I like both leads and who can resist a strong FL who can single-handledly piggy back a man and shoulder a pig.

I was like you, almost wanting to hold cos I couldn't bear with the trashy characters, most afraid they would spoil the main couple's story. But they didn't. So you can continue in peace. They caused some trouble but not enough to make the couple suffer too much.

I keep thinking the man in black could be the FL's master due to his obsession with her aunt.

Nope, you're not alone. This one is truly enjoyable. The plot is interesting and the pace is good. Cast is doing great portraying the roles. Editing is okay too. I think some find it hard to get in cos they can't get he plot with the different sects and backstory.

ML's wonton-making skills are quite top-notch. The dumplings look very tasty with the spring onions. 😋

Ok, I finally found someone who feels the same about this drama as me. I was really excited about this drama cos of the leads but after two episodes, I felt it was meh. Then I thought perhaps I should give it a chance and continued till ep 17 but the story never got me and I find myself fast-forwarding a lot and in the end I dropped it. I usually like this genre but this drama is just lacking for me. I find the story just loops and there is nothing exciting to watch. Maybe their dialogues are interesting but the plot just fell flat for me. I really can't understand the raves.

I haven't got there...but even then, I find their chemistry pretty good.

So you know which one I'm talk about? LOL. There are way better plots. That one was truly meh.

This is pretty solid in terms of plot and acting, and it gets an 8.2 while another that is quite meh plot-wise got a much higher rating? Cos no romance and kisses?

This is such a great show. Haven't felt so moved by a show for a long while. And bless the writers for writing the script based on a true story. The rating at MDL is not reflective of the quality of the show.

Based on the preview, looks like Mayor Lin is a bit of a snake. I've always thought he was a bit questionable.

There was no confirmation of what happened to Dou Jie right? All we heard was a gunshot.

I don't think we need to worry that much. He's getting a lot of recognition and good roles. Sometimes it may not be the wisest to be on the top. Unless you have very strong backing, you never know if someone will want to sabotage you. The industry is not only cutthroat. It is also dark and corrupted to a large extent.

As a fan, I love more that he's putting passion in his work and there is no controversy surrounding him. I wish him success and well-being all round. If his dramas and movies can hit big time, that's awesome. If they don't, there's no loss for us too. The dramas he acted in that I personally love were not big time hits but it doesn't diminish my view of him. I just love to watch him in his craft.

Modernization is such a 2-edged sword. On one hand, it fuels greed to the extreme. But if not for modernization, the Tibetan women would have to live with their infections thinking it's just their lot in life. Thank God for doctors and their commitment to help the women. And the Tibetans are very simple people. I was in their country years ago and you know how the locals of most countries sometimes have double standards with tourists. The Tibetans didn't behave like that. They sold stuff to me at the same price they sold to their locals. No markups.

This show is so good. I came to watch cos of Yangzi and was surprised to find Hu Ge in it. Wow...so enthralled by the storyline and setting. And they all look their part. Brings back a lot of memories of Tibet.
