How is this drama rated so low? It is much much better than another one that is airing currently with a stupid plot and bad CGI and yet that one has above 8 rating. 🤦♀️ I'm not a fan of either of the leads cos of their acting in the past dramas but in this one, they're watchable. At least both are lively and animated enough. I'm also interested to find out what's the backstory of the ML.
Just started watching this drama with very high expectations!. I am a Xu Kai Fan but something is amiss... don't…
The lead actress is pretty but that's about it. I tried watching most of her dramas because of the MLs but I had to drop all of them. Thought this might be better but no.
So I kept expecting SZ to be 21 cos she said she's an adult. But I realized she's only 19 and that means 18 is an adult in China? I thought 18 is still late teens? A bit confused by that.
What's with that stupid robotic demon voice? It's such a joke. The drama is not great, but still watchable if you wanna past time. I can look past stupid, one-dimensional characters like the Situ brothers but now they add a stupid, kiddy demonic voice? This drama is not even funny to begin with so why did the director think that this kind of voice is even suitable?
Watched up to ep 5. ZLS is doing a great job in her role. I see in SZ, a sense of innocence, restraint, and vulnerability that comes with her hidden affections for the ML. Hope to see her maturing into a young lady in full love mode soon.
i thought i was the only one who thought they looked really young for 8th graders and tried to remember if i looked…
Yeah, they all look young like 10 to me. I accepted her explanation that she's 14 but doesn't look her age. But it would have been better had most of her classmates looked at least past 12 or 13. They were all about the same size...even the boys.
Just started watching ep 1 and I wanna say the young Sang Zhi is so pretty! And amazingly, she shares the same vibes as Zhao Lusi! I'm glad she stated her age in the show and the reason she looks much younger than she really is. The only thing I couldn't get past is that all her classmates looked as young and small as her. They should have casted older-looking classmates to be consistent with the story.
A lot of people aren't quite feeling SY's acting yet (this is my first time watching one of her dramas), but I…
I didn't read the novel but I see FL's character being played exactly how you've described by Song Yi. I think a lot of people prefer over-the-top acting and mistakenly call that kind of acting excellent. So anytime an actor/actress doesn't emote expressively, it's poor acting.
It's the same thing when people think that an outburst when one is attacked means strength. FL has been subjected to so many years of bullying at home and to protect her mom, she has to appear meek. But meek in her case = strength under control. Just look at her display of anger in the scene she confronted her father and his concubine. We can see her bottled-up anger but she controlled herself well. We saw her anger and frustration but we did not see an outburst or tantrum. She used her brain.
I said before that Song Yi is not one of my faves but I'll concede she's doing a decent job here.
Shin Hye Sun is a brilliant actress. She always delivers a top class performance. On the other hand, except for…
Oh I disagree. I like The Sound of Magic and Lovestruck in the City more than Healer, K2 and Suspicious Partner. Do different folks, different strokes.
What happened to Song Yi, her acting is a bit rigid so far, other than that the story is so nice
I watched up to ep 5 and I find her acting quite true to her character so far. She comes across as someone who is trying her best to put up an appearance of being a fine cool lady who has it altogether but really has too much considerations. Unless that's not how the FL should be read.
- Falling Into Your Smile
- Hi Venus
- Crush
- Road Home
- Legally Romance
- Meet Yourself
All the leads have fantastic chemistry in these dramas.
