At the very end, in the present, they meet. He knows her because he had fainted there and had a dream of being the ML in the past. She entered his dream when she fainted there at the beginning of the drama. So he had a dream of her and she dreamed that she was in his dream. That is why no one else remembers anything.
It is worth watching. Look at her angst with kindness.

The family appears to go to the past and meet the ML. They think that he is their ancestor which becomes a stumbling block for much of the drama as dating an ancestor no matter how much removed is a no no. The family introduced many modern cuisines from other areas, some outside of China. That goes against the current restrictions about time travel and changing the past. So after they returned to the present. everyone forgot everything. Only the FL and the ML remembers. But the ML is slowly forgetting like waking from a dream, so he recreates the restaurant and builds his manor, which exists in the present and where the story begins. He lives the rest of his life alone, which causes much anguish with viewers. But rather than going to the past, the FL had entered his dream. So she was by his side for the rest of his life but he couldn't see her and she couldn't comfort him. They meet at the end and he knows her from his dream. Hope that this helps.

True, but the question was why were people thinking that this drama was Blossom. The different story would not lead people to think that this drama was Blossom. I would argue that it is wishful thinking with the pairing of the leads. The co-director may be why familiar faces are popping up in this drama. Thank you.

Director here Zhong Qing is not Zeng Qing Jie from Blossom. But the co-director Guo Feng is the same in both. Zhong Qing directed In Blossom (2024) which I enjoyed. It will also probably depend on the screen writer but I can't out who it is.

Apparently because Meng Ziyi had the main role and He Yu had a guest role in Blossom. The Co-Director in both was Guo Feng. The director is different. Zhong Qing also directed In Blossom, (2024) though. Guo Feng is listed as Co-Director in Baidu Baikn but not here.

The TF has two carrots. Fulfillment at work and giving her heart away. Not revealing that he will return to the US after the completion of the TF in her mind cheapens his sincerity towards her. I guess. We don't know why he will return and if it is intended to be permanent. kdrama relationships have to have conflict. I guess.
