Theories saying YuQianQian is a time traveller?!?!?! BRO WHATTTTTTT
Start from here. Ep. 21 36:27 Yu Qianqian saves a drowning Qi Min, but she says, "Why do I get into such trouble as soon as I arrive." 36:58. And revives him with CPR, Known in ancient China but only with learned doctors and not ordinary laymen. Then after she revives him, she says, "I hope Bodhisattva blesses me to return home soon." There are other bits, like the drinking game in ep. 36 25:08. He loses and has to drink up and then says, "What kind of stupid drinking game is this from your hometown?" There are others.

"The Road to Splendor is way too good compared to Pursuit of Jade”Someone said this on a post and most people…
Pursuit of Jade (the drama) is really Fan Changyu's story. She undergoes the character arc from ordinary daughter forced to take over the modest family business after her parents are killed to a warrior and general. She is not the formidable intellect that Fu Ting Yun is, but she has smarts and heart. The final quarter (ep. 30-40) has her dealing with her Father's reputation. Yan Zheng, the Marquis of Wu'an's arc is less defined. He generally supports her but often from behind the scenes. He is a formidable general and is playing a deeper game to seek justice for his father's and mother's death. If you've read the novel, you may regret how much of the main couple's story was left out or rushed and how some side characters had more screen time. Tastes are subjective and although I watched POJ while it was broadcast, I didn't watch it closely and the evil Qi Min's story upset me greatly. But since it finished, I've watched and rewatched the drama more closely and have come to even enjoy that second half that many have decried. Made a cheat sheet so if you have any questions on which episode something happened, I can usually quickly provide the info. So, yes, I'm solidly in camp POJ. Take care and hope you do well in school.

🛑🛑🛑to those who finish this drama answer my question pleaseQuestion1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4.…
1. yes
2. I often rewatch the first few episodes then jump to the end because the sand pit scene is so moving. Have watched until ep. 20.
3. The set up is a cold ML with a extrovert FL. And female rivals appear but they stay together. Watch the last ep (ep. 30) from 17:25.

What do you mean by, "the loss of what could have been in Pursuit of Jade", can you elaborate?
I think that rather than how the drama played out, some fans were wedded to how the novel portrayed the ML and FL. Not enough to show the ruthless warrior Xie Zheng and not enough to show General Fan rising through the ranks to be a leader. I think that the Butcher Gang was meant to show that in a nutshell. Probably the drama should have ended with the stone quarry and a part two should have started from them meeting in the North Gu Mountain Camp. I haven't read the novel, but have listened to a few reviewers expressing why they were disappointed with the drama. The more that I rewatch the drama, the better I like how the story unfolds. You have to really pay attention. Save I hate the Qi Min arcs. Love Deng Kai.

In my opinion female general dramas are bit forced tbh, in this too it doesn't really make sense for her to fight…
Food for thought.
Why Are There So Many Women Warrior in Chinese History & Literature? Was Mulan Unremarkable?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO6P1PQSmsM&t=435s

And this,
female foot soldiers in ancient china
While mainstream ancient Chinese military forces were overwhelmingly male and strict dynastic codes barred women from regular combat units, history and legend record remarkable exceptions of female commanders and specialized armed forces. Women rarely served as standard rank-and-file foot soldiers, but elite female leaders, tribal units, and individual fighters did take to the battlefield
Historical Context
Social Norms: Confucian ideology heavily promoted domestic roles for women, restricting them from active warfare in mainstream eras.
Exceptions in Crisis: Most documented female fighters emerged during dynastic transitions, frontier rebellions, or within semi-autonomous tribal societies where traditional Han gender restrictions did not apply.
Community Consensus: There is a consensus among historians on Reddit that while individual female commanders and leaders were historically real, regular infantry armies comprised of female foot soldiers did not exist as a standard institutional practice.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
Can i ask for what it went on ep 30? So, has the Li guy became a villain? Was the letter he gave to the FL a faked…
Li Huai'an never becomes a villain except having feelings for Fan Changyu. Hound dog much? But she reaffirms that she only sees him as a brother in ep. 32. The letter is real. It is a letter from her Father, the disgraced Gen Qilin to Gen He. He offers his and his wife's death in exchange for the lives of his daughters. She is shown blacking out her Father's name in the letter. The reason "Coward" Kang Xiaodan, Granny Kang's other grandson who was sent into the army, had later replaced Mandi was that other than Mr. Ji, the other members of the Butcher Squad couldn't read. And Coward was also simple minded. see ep. 13 35:25 Mr Jin would be too smart not to understand the implications of the letter and then it wouldn't be a secret anymore.

Title Reset
Thanks for the above post; with the FL like that, it's definitely not something I would enjoy.
If you haven't yet watched Reset, it's a favorite of mine. For a long time, if I started to watch a bit if that drama, I would end up watching the whole drama. Every episode, every time. Smart writing and some emotional moments. I liked it that much. This is the FL's Hero's Journey. The drama is her arc from an ordinary student. She is the moral center of the drama and the one who realizes that the correct choice to try to save bus. Not save yourself. She is not dumb and she is not a Mary Sue. You might consider the FL the heart and the ML the brain. I've said that this is a drama with smart people. I think that the person above didn't care for the younger policeman when he says that the characters are insufferable. That's fair, but any work place has someone like him. And he is not a villain. Same with the Lu Di's (the guy in the back dressed in black) Mom. Tastes are subjective. Not everyone enjoys the same things nor in the same way. If you do watch it and happen to be interested what are the feelie moments for me, I'll be glad to share. Thank you.

I just thought of something! I don’t recall when ML fell in love with the FL and when she also felt the same…
For the ML The end of Episode 1 . When she reaches for his hand in the pig sty and there is a glow around him. His heart knew what his mind was slow to admit. For the FL, it was also shown in ep. 1 when he sits up from bed and she gets a good look at him for the first time, her feet moves together and her posture straightens. I know this feeling of subconscious attraction first hand. More later.
