Pretty nice. Unexpectedly, the ML gets a second chance in life. I thought that his best friend was going to be the son and was let down. With the reveal, things start to make more sense and the course of the story becomes more clear. Reconnect with his lost love. Understand why the jerk that he is wasn't compatible with her and how his son has her strengths, but needs a Father to inspire him. Jiang Yu's fallout with Chen An probably has something to do with not having a Father.

He is having second thoughts. He hasn't drawn blood for a while and he is searching for other kirin blood sources. But the Princess is still failing. He is still obsessed with Qian Yue and now know from the Princess that she is a YLBL.

Still going through The Killer is a Romantic. A Familiar Stranger was my first introduction the the writer and director, though I wasn’t aware of them. I really liked that show. I liked the romance between the main couple, but her sister and her lover, well their doppelgängers do exist. I liked the strong female, the scars on her shoulder and when she closed the door. Thank you.

The bodyguard is under orders from Ming Xi that ties his hand. At any moment he could be ordered to terminate her if she gets out of hand. Yes, it is developing that she puts her trust on the unknown benefactor who seems to have more power.

The same writer (Zhao Lin) director (Zeng Qi Jie) team that did A Familiar Stranger, Provoke, and The Killer is Also Romantic. Some pretty good pedigree.

Watch episode 1 to get a sense of the stakes and episode 4 to see how the unconditional love that the females have for their men melts their cold hearts. The 2FL, the Princess also loves her man like that and by ep. 13 you are rooting for both. Or at least I am. Don't know what you mean by chill drama. Past my time. Old foggie here. Read the comments after each episode to get a better feel. Some may not like that the females sometimes come off as naive or child like, but they are never stupid and choose the path for their own destinies. The FL to become acceptable with her love's station in life and the Princess to make the Marquis accept her love, by giving her blood freely.

With his looks, he is a natural villain, but here, the director has flipped him to make him a positive and perhaps ill fated character.

There are a pair of butterflies flying in a lamp when one couple is shown. This has happened twice, the last time in ep. 13. I have a bad feeling for them.
