What is her relationship with Prince Yu's bodyguard Qi? He seems to be protecting her and not fully disclosing information about her to the Prince.

Has anyone considered the relevance of the title Serendipity to the drama? Serendipity as in Lu Chang being at the bottom of the cliff. In Mingshu leaving the Mansion because of his rejection and avoiding being massacred with everyone else? The chance meeting of the two with Master Song at the Inn with the bandits? Or seemingly stumbling through the drama until a happy conclusion?

Good points. Under suspicion where a misstep can be fatal, ruthless probably makes her useful in his eyes. Nothing breeds success as getting the job done. But there must be a reason she is portrayed like that or written like that as usually there would be a man or woman already working for the Prince who is doing the same thing. Perhaps they are setting up a confrontation with Lu Chang or Mingshu. It would be as if Lu Chang had to fight Mingshu to the death. A less likely scenario is that Tangli and Master Song get together. We were told that she stayed with the other guy because he said that could protect her, but she was really setting him up to be betrayed so that she could get close to Prince Yu. Her true end game may be to get revenge for her Father and for her, but from the inside. Lu Chang remarked on how she had changed from when he knew her before. He tried to warn her about her danger. In ep. 1 at 15:19, when Lu Chang is talking about seeking justice for Master Su, his bodyguard tell him that he may be groomnapped and also that Mingshu has feelings for him. The first words out of his mouth is, "The path I walk is thorny. I won't drag others down. I won't consider marriage." Not I don't have feelings for her. Everything after that should take that into consideration. People also may not say their true feelings or reasons for their actions. And had he accepted the marriage, he and Mingshu would have both died in the Jian Mansion massacre. So for the triangle to work he has to have some flaw for Song to be seriously considered. But that flaw has to be able to be explained away. just my two cents worth. I could be wrong.

I haven't watched The Demon Hunter's Romance. Allen (Jialun) Ren in the ML. He is popular but his acting is more stoic than expressive. Lareina (Zu'er) Song is a pretty good actress but has been sidelined with tax problems. For Under the Moonlight, you should realize that it is Luo Shu, the FL's story and her romance with the ML, is in increments, not always evident, but starts from the first episode. She solves mysteries that are usually between women and men. She observes more than she acts. You can step back and enjoy it better. Hua Bing Qing has a better role in Insect Totem.
