You are right. He did resent her. But her leaving him was sad for him but there was no guilt like what happened with his first love. She lost his unborn baby perhaps partly because of his parents, and then they broke up.

Sehui protected and punished himself, becoming a cold person, because he wasn't able to protect his first love. After his break up with Ji Ho we see him crying for the first time since he fought with his Father over his first love.

The writers have her breaking with him to cut thru the scar tissue protecting his heart. That is why he comes off as cold, standoffish. He realizes that he misses her and for the first time after he broke up with his first love, we see him cry.
