The juvenile ghost possessed the HaeS(at least what’s what I’m understanding but HaeS does not remember it or isn’t aware that he was, since he was just a kid)

I think the Proff Gu became possessed when he found the object or came into contact with it. He must have been at the motel where they stayed at. I think the ghost wanted to inhabit a more healthier body? Plus he was a folklorist so the ghost wanted to use him.

Might be for a deceased second child or

For the groundskeeper son? The one that turned to a hungry ghost. I think they lived on Hae’s grandmas property when HaeS was a kid. When The hungry ghost gets too hungry it causes the host to kill themselves?

Okay I see 🤣 I get why he’s written the way he is. The detective aspect is the least fav part for me. The folklore stuff is engaging to watch.

Prof Gu had contact with HaeS mom. She wanted to find a way to suppress bad energy from the 5 cursed objects with the line of Prohibition.

The shaman said that HaeS family wanted a ritual for a deceased child? So was it similar to SY deceased second sibling?

HongS (& Munchun) represents the physical law of the world - catching bad guys & putting them behind bars, solving crimes etc.

While SY & HaeS represents the spiritual law of the world - appeasing ghost that is affecting the living

At the moment he does not believe in ghost given that the crimes he is dealing with does involve ghost 😅I think he’ll eventually figure it out. He’ll be helpful in putting the real bad guys away in the end. Since HaeS is a folklorist & SY a mere citizen without any authority in law.

A regular ghost [Ep 1-2]
- Once you know their name & story they pass on

Suicide Tree ghost [Ep 3]
- a ghost that resides in a cursed object - must destroy curse object

Yeommae - ghost possessing SY [Ep 1-6]
- A juvenile ghost made from a ritual that involves a malnutrition-sickly second child & then murdered (sacrificial rite) The most powerful ghost - can create doppelgänger, foresee into the future/vision, make someone kill themselves(suicide), possess host body

Wandering ghost [Ep 4-5]
- A ghost that can not pass on - due to something (the wooden statue-pillar that acts as a coordinate-guide to the after life)

Hungry ghost [Ep 5-6]
- feeds into people desire - turns people eyes red & gives people cardiac arrest - possess host body

Remember when the cops says that young HaeS may not have told the truth about what happen (when his mom died) because he was sick & still young. Because trauma can make people either forget what happen or retell a moment that was not correct? So what really happen and how did he end up in the mountain? Did he walked far away on his own? Was someone else there? Was HS the one possessed as a kid but can’t remember? And not his mom.

Wonder if there are multiple ghost infused together that is the yeommae? In the end the hungry ghost who resides in HaeS home say ‘their name’ referring to the ghost possessing SY.

Yes, when the host is in some sort of distress. Plus it’s also night time, when they come out.

Usually around bodies of large water like a river/or rainy days too. That’s why SY also goes to the bridge That’s over a river.

They might have to find the 5 objects (that’s related to the yeommae) and then take it to where (area) the person the ghost killed in order to get rid of it? So far there are 5 but we’ve only seen 3 - the red tie, the shard, & the jade pin? But where is the jade pin? HaeS mother wanted to get rid of those things when she found it. Buried it far away from each other so no one can find & dig it up. I think HaeS grandmother/family side has something to do with it. The ghost is bounded by these objects? Maybe that is why it can not pass on.

SY will save Semi from the ghost. I dont think Semi will hurt SY. They might get into arguments 😢She will tell Semi the truth to keep her from getting worried. I also noticed that SY is moving out of her home to keep her mom away from harm (at her father’s estate) based on the preview.

SY & Semi being possessed on the same night. Just soulmate things 😭🤣
